I decided to have my daughter attend because she has traveled to most places in the US and to my home land the last couple of years. I wanted COVID to be a positive experience and not coup her up in the house. Since attending DLEC my daughter has learned her basic education her cousins are learning in Kindergarten. My daughter learned so much and worth the experience. I travel from Seatac and sometimes Auburn to drop off and pick her up but it's so worth it. She has even got accepted into her local school without testing to join kindergarten when she turns 4. I'm glad to have her start her education very young. Everyone thinks she's very smart and a fast learner, visually and physically. Also her social skills has improved so much. She's not shy around people and communicate with those when spoken too. Thanks to all the staff for making her beginning education experience so much fun and challenging during these tough time in our lives. I appreciate very single staff!

I left a job I'd worked at for almost a decade because HR/leadership here told me there would be upward momentum in my career in the advancement department. They were literally building a new building with a nursing room while telling me I could not bring my infant to work in case "a family heard them" over the phone. Hypocrites. Liars. After my maternity leave, which they greatly reduced my salary over, they claimed there was no room for me in advancement. I could only work the front desk and do admin work at very reduced hours, which was a stark difference from what they lured me away from my previous job for. I should mention I only had 4 weeks away from my desk because I took a few weeks off before due to pregnancy complications. I was back at work A MONTH after giving birth. They have very few employees, so there are no protections for someone like me. It's hilarious that they tout themselves as a progressive organization.

When I was able to start my studies again I was faced with expired but you can renew it by paying nearly the same amount to extend for 90 days! I sent a message requesting they consider reducing that if possible. I was barely into month seven at the time. After a few days of no response I sent another message expressing my disappointment that I had not received a response good or bad. After waiting a few more days it was time - I have since purchased the class I needed for less money through another provider. My clientele have always received same day responses! I have no patience for a company that offers "No customer service!

I had a very negative experience with APEX's AP econ course last school year (2018-2019) and I…read morewould not recommend it unless significant changes are made. Luckily, my high school's AP econ teacher helped me with the course and was able to override APEX's grading system, which helped me complete the course. Had it not been for him though things would be a lot worse for me. This teacher also was the one who suggested I write a review in the first place. At the time I was the only one in my high school taking this course online. I am now a freshmen in college and have been a 4.0 student all throughout high school and my time in college. To this day, online AP econ was the most difficult class I've ever had. Below are my complaints: 1) With every other online platform I have used (schoology, wiley plus, moodle, etc.) you were able to go back to questions that you weren't sure about. However, on APEX, you HAD to answer a question before moving on to the next one, and you could go back/forward. This was extremely unhelpful when I was taking a test and would put me far behind in my course progress if I needed to wait the entire weekend to ask my teacher about a certain question. 2) Questions on tests and quizzes were often inaccurate (the wrong answer was marked as correct), poorly worded, or went far beyond what was taught in the video lessons. There were also no explanations given as to why answers were wrong on tests, and sometimes they even stumped my AP econ teacher. 3) APEX customer support was minimal and I had no access to anyone who had designed or overseen the curriculum, which made figuring out what I needed to know extremely difficult. There was no one to contact if there were issues (like I mentioned above) with tests and quizzes. 4) All of the lessons that were given to me seemed extremely dated. All of the economic data that was given was from the late 80s and early 90s. I don't have anything against watching econ documentaries from 1992, but it gave the impression that the course itself hadn't been updated since then. 5) This course did not sufficiently prepare me for the AP test and I decided not to take it because my econ teacher said that there was material in the APEX curriculum that he hadn't seen since college. I figured that I didn't want to waste my time and money taking the AP test if I was not properly prepared. So, there you have it. Overall, this course brought me a lot of undue stress my second semester senior year and really brought me very little in return. With some changes, I think APEX could be a good way to learn outside of the classroom, and I liked the concept of watching video lectures, practicing, and taking tests on my own time with one software. However, these glitches made it really difficult. Hope this will be helpful!

He is ready to start the second semester and we paid the full fee. I have been calling them to activate semester 2. No one answers the call. I sent atleast 5 emails and no one responded. My son is a senior and he wants to finish the course as early as possible. After paying full course fee we are absolutely nit getting any support. I don't know what to do now. I regret on my decision to choose Apex. I would highly recommend don't consider apex. Go for BYU or community college or elsewhere. Don't choose Apex learning virtual school.

My learning philosophy is very aligned with the school so that was an important consideration when seeking the right place to enroll her. I am very happy with the decision. The daily activities change and seem to challenge my daughter in different ways. I have not come across another program with this approach of incorporating so much of the outdoors. It is definitely in line with my values and expectations. Additionally, Infinite and the staff are easy going, wonderful, communicative people to work with. Super happy parent and child.

I do really like Kumon, as a student it helped me a lot and allowed for me to catch up get 2 years…read moreahead on math (qualified for a program, didn't do well beginning of year, then went to Kumon and it helped be at the level I was supposed to be) and helped me easily understand things that are being taught to me faster. The reason why I quit was because of the head of the teaching, Ms. Janet. She always were to try to make things better and make it worse, treats everyone like a little child, as in you get 9 mistakes and she'll say, "Good job honey! I'm so proud of you." Do things like when you come in and tell you "Sweetie you have to say hi to me everytime you come in, come on, say it." Even if you haven't said hi and just did a wave for a while and that had became the norm. Ms. J will also give you a smile (a kind of uncanny one) and tell you "Box your answers sweetheart." When you've told her weeks on end that you will, when you finish your packet. Texts randomly sometimes, either about something unrelated or about how the parent is helping their child with their math (when they told Ms. Janet they showed their child how to do what they're learning. Mainly, Ms. J just really pisses me (and my mother + brother) off. For now I'm just going to use other resources or continue Kumon at another place in Seattle.

Bike Works continues to absolutely rule. When I first moved to the area, I found Bike Works to be…read morethe closest bike shop near me, and everyone working there was as helpful and kind as could be. In the years since, I have found that the only thing I have noticed changing is that they are continuing to try and grow and provide their (incredibly affordable) services to the local community to get as many people (both kids and adults) on bikes, as possible. Every single time I bring my bike to the store, they do their best to at least diagnose the problem and give me a reasonable estimate of when I could expect to have my bike fixed up. They are incredibly transparent about everything they do, and every time they ring up the bill it comes up to be less than I expect. But it doesn't even end there! During the summer, they have a mobile truck that rides around the area to provide their repair services free of charge for the local community! I absolutely love what they do, and there is no bike shop I enjoy visiting more than Bike Works.
