We've noticed greater resilience and problem solving that we can attribute to the school's strong social-emotional curriculum. The teachers are caring and in tune with his and his classmates' needs, and the cohort model has suited him well where he strives in some areas academically but struggles in others. The cohort model allows him to extend in the areas that come easier to him, and he gets the support he needs in the areas that are more challenging. The community itself was incredibly welcoming (we joined in second-grade), and the kids are kind are welcoming too. We appreciate the pluralistic approach to Jewish education - although our family is on the more traditional side we feel welcome and included and we the same for kids from less-traditional families. She is back to actually learning again, and she really likes her teachers. Her confidence in her ability to learn, and be successful in school has also returned. I have been very pleased with the administration. They have been kind, accommodating, and very responsive to our communications and needs. My expectations are exceeded, especailly knowing how busy they must be! The school is doing a great job with covid precautions. I feel safe when my daughter attends in person. She also has the option for working remotely online. Attending in person gives her some social interaction where before she had had none. I highly recommend this school.

Toward the end of the year, the kids LOVE her outdoor kid Olympics, complete with flags and medals. We all cried a little at the end of the year "graduation" b/c our time together was so special, and my daughter (entering 1st grade and having experienced another preschool) still remembers her Meadowbrook 5's class as her favorite year in school. It's more work than your usual preschool, but the affordable price and the rewards make it well worth the effort.

He then went into public school for kindergarten, which was a very disappointing experience. This fall, I started him in another private christian school for first grade, but after just 4 weeks, it was clear it wasn't working out either. I was feeling very lost until a friend recommended Bloom, and it truly felt like God was answering my prayers. From the moment we walked through the doors, we knew we'd found our school home. The smaller classroom sizes and strong sense of community at The Bloom Academy are exactly what my son needed. He thrives in a more intimate setting (hugs welcomed), where teachers can focus on his unique needs and guide his learning. The teaching style is exactly what we were looking for it's focused on fostering a love of learning, building character, and encouraging personal growth, not just pushing ahead academically. Unlike other private schools that seemed more concerned with being a year ahead academically, Bloom has helped me realize that the overall learning experience is what truly matters. Our daughter goes to a great private school in the area that has a reputable preschool program and we chose Bloom over them for several reasons. We were just so fortunate to find this little gem of a school. Aureole can be slow to communicate via email. The business side of things is not always her strong suit. But, where it matters, with the kids she is wonderful!

The preschool is the perfect balance of play with little fun moments of learning. Both children adored their years there with an experienced, caring teacher. She is beyond talented, nurturing, patient and so creative. Each day has a structured routine with variety from a new project, idea or adventure included. Story time, nature walks, snack time, craft time, play time, etc. The preschool is a small class (6-7 kids) and it allows the teacher to really get to know each child and have a strong relationship with them. She is able to guide the students' interactions in a positive way and learn appropriate social skills. Classes are 4 hours long, with classes available Monday - Friday, from 9am-1pm. Little Castle Preschool is wonderful and we're so grateful for Ms. Adrienne!
