Teacher Abby and teacher Emily are just so great understanding. As a parent, I appreciate how flexible they are with summer scheduling.

Our son spent last year there and is returning soon. He's had a great time and genuinely feels loved. He talks about the teachers at home fondly and is quite happy to show up on a daily basis, minus the Monday after the amazing weekends that make kids want to stay and play with their parents all week. Thanks to Mrs. Swanson, Mr. Tsutsumi and Mr. David for giving our little guy so many good days.

The…read moreschool's dedication to the Montessori philosophy is evident in every aspect, allowing our child to develop independence, confidence, and a love for learning. The staff here is amazing! There's hardly any turnover, which provides a stable and consistent environment for the children. Plus, the abundance of supporting staff ensures that each child gets plenty of 1:1 attention. The program director is also fantastic--she's incredibly on top of things and always approachable for any questions or concerns. The classrooms are always kept clean, and it shows. Our child doesn't fall sick nearly as often compared to our friend's kids who go to other schools. This has been a huge relief. Communication at the school is excellent. We appreciate the verbal handoff we get during pickups, and the e-platform (Transparent Classroom) they use is a great tool for keeping us updated with hour-by-hour insights into our child's day. School premises feels very safe and secure by design. They have an always locked outer gate, and outsiders including parents have to be let in by the staff. Each classroom then has their own doors and separated from classrooms. The playground is also nicely secured by a strong fence. Lastly, we love the extra sessions they offer for parents. These are a great opportunity to meet other families and learn about important topics related to raising a child.

She has become noticeably more confident, more social with other children, and her English skills have improved dramatically. What truly sets this school apart is Teacher Monica, a rare gem in the Greater Seattle area. With over 30 years of Montessori teaching experience, she brings a depth of understanding, patience, and guidance that's incredibly hard to find. She also had a knack for recruiting compassionate and loving assistant teachers such as Rebecca, Lori, and previously Gnana, whom we greatly appreciated. While only a very select number of schools in the area have teachers with comparable experience, those schools tend to be quite large, and it's not always guaranteed that your child will be placed with one of their most seasoned educators. At Eastgate, the environment is more personal and intentional, and we felt confident that our daughter was receiving direct support from someone who truly understands Montessori principles and how to nurture each child's growth. We're grateful for the warmth, consistency, and quality of education our daughter received here. Highly recommend!

What I love most about EMG is their Montessori approach to education. My child has flourished under this method, which encourages hands-on learning and exploration. The teachers have created an environment that is both nurturing and stimulating, allowing my child to develop their unique interests and talents at their own pace. But what really sets this school apart is the teachers. Monika and Manisha are both wonderful educators who are passionate about their work and truly care about their students. They go above and beyond to ensure that each child in their class feels valued and supported. I have personally witnessed the impact that Monika and Manisha have had on my child. They both have a unique ability to bring out the best in each child and help them reach their full potential. I am so grateful to have them here. In conclusion, I highly recommend Eastgate Montessori Garden to any parent or guardian looking for a school with caring and loving teachers. The Montessori approach to education, combined with the school's warm and welcoming atmosphere, make for an exceptional learning experience.

This is a very long overdue review. We started our daughter in ECA when she was just 4 months, and…read moreshe will be leaving ECA next summer/fall when she starts kindergarten. She has been to almost every classroom and has been taught by all the teachers and staff. You know the staff really cares about my daughter as they all know her by name. Although there was initially more turnover when she started, it seems to have become more steady and there is a longer-lasting relationship with the teachers. We didn't necessarily seek out the bilingual aspect of ECA when looking for a daycare, but I am thankful of the opportunity for my daughter to learn the Chinese language and culture even though we don't speak Mandarin at home. She surprises me with the amount she knows. Looking back, they were a bit more strict during the COVID years, but this is much appreciated as a parent. Although my daughter eventually did contract COVID, it was only at the peak of Omicron that it occurred. They had safety measures that straddled the line of being cautious but also fair to working families. The management has been communicative and transparent. When we have questions or concerns, they are always taken seriously and are open to feedback. We have been very happy with our experience here and don't hesitate to recommend other families to consider ECA.

He has been in ECA for over 2 yrs and we've loved how much he's grown at his time here. I have two kids, and older one was sent to a different Daycare as ECA was not available at his time, and I can truly say that ECA has exceeded our expectations on what a daycare can and should provide your little one during their prime years. My son at ECA has learned how to take care of himself, clean up after himself, manners, and properly greeting etiquette. We do not speak mandarin at home, so seeing him be able to pick up so much from school has been so heart warming and amazing. We feel that ECA has done much more, along the lines of controlled learning. Not does he only have free play, but they really do believe that learning about the outside world is just as important. He's learned about continents, the 5 oceans, the solar system. And not only does he learn them in English, he's learned them in Mandarin as well. He has been given the ability to practice his cutting, pasting, writing letters, and number... but he's also been given the experience to learn how to make dumplings, and moon cake with his peers. The art that they do is also tied in to the subjects they are learning... which is how it should be done. They get to see, hear, and do.. which is essential in active learning. We don't speak mandarin at home. And being able to watch my child read mandarin words, sing mandarin songs, and reply to his teachers in mandarin... has been amazing. I can truly say that he speaks better mandarin than I can now. I've added a video to my review as a small sample of how much my son has learned reading Chinese at ECA. Also, once they are in pre-k, there are some days, where your kid gets to bring home, homework (not mandatory). Haha if that's your thing. My child loved it. And was proud to do the work "all by himself". I truly believe my little one has been able to grow a lot from ECA. And we're really happy about the staff, and the head school, Jenny. They have less turn over rates than our prior daycare, and the staff really seem to enjoy their time with the kids. The cameras are also always a nice touch to ease any parent's anxiety. Thank you ECA!

I have the privilege to say that all three of my children have been a part of the Kiddie Academy…read moreBellevue family for multiple years now with the oldest having started in the middle of the pandemic in 2020. The years of interactions with every staff member at the school and three children being educated in almost every classroom and teacher combination at KA Bellevue is the basis for my review. The school is fantastic. I can not imagine entrusting my children's early education to any other school. Every person I have interacted with starting at the top with Ms. Olive and Ms. Alyssa through staff and rounding out with the cook is simply phenomenal. They are professionals who care deeply about the education every student receives and the staff very much understand the trust and responsibility families place in them when they drop off their little ones on a daily basis. The education goes beyond a day care with a full STEM curriculum and daily mental and physical wellness activities. I am consistently impressed at the well rounded education and knowledge base this school has managed to instill in my children. No easy task. I also want to acknowledge that not every day is perfect and like any school there have been a few discussions I have had with staff when I have a comment or concern. Their door is always open for comments, questions and feedback at KA. The staff are always willing to hear my perspective, committing to and following through with speaking to all other stakeholders, and then following up with me to communicate what steps would be taken to address an issue. I want to leave this review with a personal story that has stuck with me. My second child has had recurring respiratory issues his entire life. The same day we started understanding from doctors how to treat his breathing issues we wanted to make sure we had an action plan at the school if my son were to get sick. After briefing the administration they immediately looped in appropriate teachers. Going above and beyond what was expected to raise awareness about the issue Ms. Alyssa went so far as to - after asking if I was okay with it - brief the ENTIRE staff on the situation in their recurring internal staff meetings. Simply put the staff view the children as part of their family. The curriculum is world class. The administration, the teachers, the school is incredible. I can not think of a more amazing place to entrust my children to grow and learn in their early years. If you are looking for a day care in the Bellevue area you must look at Kiddie Academy Bellevue.

Unfortunately both the teachers were busy attending other kids but the assistant director was there to console him all day. On the second day, he continued to cry most of the day but there was no one to console him as both the teachers were busy (one teacher in the changing room and the other nothing). From the third day onwards I had to call the front desk at least two times because during nap time all he wanted was his pacifier but no one cared to give him and he would continue to cry and ask. So I had call every single day for 2 weeks and ask them to give his pacifier. Secondly because he wasn't getting any attention at all, he would go and play with water and wet his clothes. This was in November- December and very cold. Instead of changing wet clothes, the teacher was forcing him to sleep in his wet clothes. I had to call again and ask them to change his clothes. His water bottle would be on the floor and everyone including the teachers will be moving with the feet but not pick it. He would stay thirsty for hours. How difficult is it to do your job for which you are being paid? By end of second week we decided to talk to the Director Alyssa and after the meeting, she promised that he will be taken care of. From the third week onwards, it seemed fine and he was included during play time but the change of clothes remain the same. He would be on his wet clothes for hours until I called the front desk and asked them to change. We realized he wasn't getting the type of care he should be getting and hence we decided to pull him out. We finally send them the withdrawal notice. Ofcourse we were asked why we decided to pull our son out when the teachers are being nice to him. We never saw our son happy while drop offs and pick ups. In terms of the curriculum, other than basic coloring there is no curriculum. Everyone is playing on their own. My son was being pushed to the floor by two other kids from his class but the teachers didn't care to stop them. He would cry but the teachers didn't even bother. On his last day (which was also his 2nd birthday) we decided to send him so that he can celebrate his birthday with other kids and also it was his last day. I was told that they celebrate his birthday after the nap hours. So I turned on the video to see what he was doing around 3:30pm and see most of the kids sitting and waiting for the cake. In the meantime, another kid sitting next to him bites my son 3 times and the teacher didn't pay much attention. After 2/3minutes, they realized it was swollen, they gave him ice cream pack and made him sit with it. This was his Birthday present from the school. After which we immediately rushed to the center and the teachers didn't care to inform us. When asked what happened, one of the teacher casually said his friend accidentally bit him but they have applied ice it's fine. Then I asked about the incident report, she said she will send along with the daily report which I never received. If I am not wrong, the incident report is presented to both the family for signature but in this case there was nothing. There have been times when he tried to tell us about 'Time out' but didn't take it seriously but then one day he said because he plays with water, the teacher gave him time out in the dark. He kept saying "I am scared in dark" to us but we never thought this is what happened to him. We are glad to have pulled him out of there. . Is KA reliable? The answer is NO. Is it a good place for kids to learn anything? Of course NOT because there is no curriculum. This entire 1.5months was horrible.

Shout out to Ms. Light and Ms. Ghafari! During pick up, he always has so many things to babble, which is his sign of a good mood. In his past daycare, he would be returned to us with a puffy face, completely silent, and rashes all over his face. How do I explain my love for Blossoms and Becky? Let's start at the beginning!! We heard about…read moreBlossoms through friends of ours who had their son and daughter there and so we enrolled our kids as well. We've been there for two years on and off. The "off" part because we moved and it became really far for us to come here. Blossoms, in my opinion, is everything you want in a childcare center for young children. I worry that children these days are being pushed to grow up too quickly, and academics are pushed too heavily on children. When looking for childcare for my children, I don't want someone teaching them how to do calculus when they're three years old I would much rather have someone focus on giving my son the love that I'm not able to when I'm working. I want him to have socialization and I want him to be able to do fun activities with other children. And Blossoms is all of that. These factors are far more important than academics! In addition, it's a family environment; the chef and some of the daycare workers are related and it shows me how valued a family environment is. Our son, more than a year ago, was in Colton's class and now Colton is headteacher and I don't have enough words to say how amazing that is. Colton is a kind, loving individual and deserves accolades for being such a good human being. Mariya, one of the other teachers, is also just a beautiful human being. My 3yo asked to be in her class even though she watched the younger kids mostly; he just gravitates to her kind nature. Becky, the director, isn't just invested in your child's schooling; she's invested in the big picture which is psychosocial and emotional growth. Do yourselves and your children a favor and send them here.

Update: several minutes after my review the owner of the daycare sent messages to parents pleading…read morewith them to save blossoms reputation by posting a review here. This is how Yelp works apparently. Use caution and investigate reviews, the good and the bad. It pains me to write a negative review because the first year our daughter was at Blossoms was great. But these last few months we've had a terrible experience and have recently heard some alarming stuff from other parents. I received a text from the owner Becky, informing us that our daughter is no longer welcome at her daycare because of a "threatening" message I sent to Joslyn and her staff. I have attached the message for all to see. What prompted such a message to her teachers and the owner? First, we received less than 24 hours' notice that our daughter's class was moving to a different building. We were told the space would be bigger and the kids would be happier. Awesome, we can roll with this. But two weeks later we discovered from Facebook photos that our daughter was moved to a different classroom without our knowledge. Prior to us realizing she had been moved, she would come home upset and we had no idea why. She said, "school was scary, there were too many new teachers and kids." We then messaged her school asking for clarity. They flippantly told us she had indeed been moved 2 months ago (which was also untrue) but she is still with the same teachers and students. After further investigation, we realized this was far from the truth. We had been telling our daughter for weeks, it's fine, you're just in a new building. They lied to us again and again. Her teacher refused to meet with us because we were "bullying" her. We are upset parents and asked very directly what was going on. We never received a clear explanation as to why she was moved. Becky the owner again and again said it was because of licensing. Here teacher Joslyn reassured us everything was fine after 2 inquiries about our daughters well-being after the move. It was only after I saw FB posts of our child in a diff class that she revealed that yes, our child was indeed moved to a diff class...2 months ago. Which was also false. After reaching out to other parents, we learned other disturbing facts. Communication completely stopped for weeks not only with us but other parents. We've been called bullies for demanding the truth. Becky repeatedly told us that she is not about academics and that her school is really in the business for drug prevention, whatever that means. Becky and Joslyn are all smiles but when it comes down to the true nature of their business, that's all it is. Profit and business. It's sad that we were treated like this. We know how hard the teachers work. Becky's unprofessional and unethical approach to her business harms not only the kids and families but also her staff.
