Great location, well maintained convention center and theatre. They have stairs, escalators or elevators to get to the desired area. The restrooms are well maintained and have sanitizing stations and mask mandate signs in the building. The sound system in the theatre was also good. Parking is little high but expected at a downtown location. Closer to transit station

My last visit was for the Bellevue Jazz and Blues Festival with Bobby Rush on Jun. 3rd in the theater. But I've gone to many gala events here. The ceiling of the hall is very high and the conference spaces are spacious. So it's a great place for your convention. I came here for a Star Trek Convention one year. There was the Japan Fair here too 3 and 4 years ago that was free and fun to visit. In a few yrs, the Light rail Station will be open across the street. Right now the Bellevue Transit Center for busses is right across the street.

Great place for Christmas concerts. Staff work for the union so they careeless about customer service but most shows bring their own staff

Nice, fancy place. I went here for the 2015 Child's Play Dinner ran by the Penny Arcade folk. The food was delicious but seemed a bit limited in portion size. I received the ranch steak which was so smooth you could cut it with the side of your fork. We had the option of steak, chicken, or butternut squash ravioli. While registering for the dinner on the Penny Arcade website, we had to choose our dinner option during checkout. As for the desserts, we weren't allowed to choose what we wanted. We were simply given either a pomegranate dessert or a chocolate one and weren't able to switch it out. It lead to us trying to swap around the table since some of us had allergies or severe preference. Out of me just dealing with it, I ate the pomegranate dessert since chocolate was the most sought after one. I did have a bit of the chocolate and wow, was it good. I kind of wish chocolate was the default, to be honest. That was probably the worst part of the dinner. Hopefully next time during checkout, we can choose our dessert along with the dinner. This wasn't a Meydenbauer issue, moreso an issue with the checkout service but still could've been better orchestrated by Meydenbauer employees in person. As far as parking, it wasn't included with my ticket. Event parking was underneath the complex for $10 - which wasn't bad. I just wish parking was included in the ticket price. The parking attendant quizzed us on the event information to make sure we weren't lying as to get a better rate than anywhere else in the city. I found this a bit strange. My boyfriend and I were dressed up in a suit and ball gown, pretty sure we're not taking advantage of the inexpensive Bellevue parking haha. Overall, people were kind and accommodating. Coat-check was fast and efficient. There were an abundance of options for different kind of alcoholic drinks, which was great. Some awkward hiccups make the venue a 4/5 stars. I would definitely return, though!

Other than the music I was brought to hear, this is a really nice venue. Great sound system and lots of space. Parking is close by also.

A venue for conferences and events. Have attended numerous functions here. Parking is limited due to the Braven next door, but if you come early, you will find parking at the main building. Otherwise, you will need to park a block or two away. Good size foyer area for registration setup or reception - nothing fancy about it though. The ballroom is one of the larger ones with a seating capacity of about 2,000 banquet style. It's not a hotel ballroom so no fancy interiors, but it's definitely the "go-to" ballroom for Bellevue because of its size and location. Food is always decent and service is good.

    Parking price is relatively cheap.

Not enough chairs at the MIHS graduation. Parking is a challenge so allow plenty of time to get in/out of the garage.

Gorgeous new place on the block!!…read more Stunning new event space right in south lake union/ downtown with sweeping lake union views. Views alone were worth a trip or 4!! Came for the opening of this shiny new spot yesterday. A gorgeous 3,000 square foot event space that was completely remodeled: with in house catering, vendors, event planners, photo booths, musician! And the food. It was like going to a super fun wedding minus the formality of it. The owner was there as well: super passionate and shared the story of how she bought this space sight unseen: took a long process in turning this into a gorgeous space that it is now. It was super cool! And the food!! They allow outside catering too but the in-house catering: Kaspar catering : baos topped with micro greens and mint. Steamed to serve! Poke rolls :delicious! Panna cotta : in a cup! Lisa Dupar catering: this one was fantastic as I've had a chance to taste their food in the past at a wedding. The gorgeous cupcakes, macarons, molasses cookies and stunning cake. All were so pretty! Mark ryan wine! I mean, what's not to love as it's one of the wineries I frequent in Woodinville wine country. My pup baci's favorite too. Luxe Photo Booth: this one was so fun! The 360 Photo Booth!! I've seen them in Time Squares recently as well as at a valentines event. But this one was so much more fun as I didn't have to wait in line or fight the crowd for it. The person that was running it was super friendly and helpful too. The jazz musician was pretty rad too. And they had valet!! Butler Valet: All the friendly guys in uniform waiting for you as you arrived during rush hour in downtown: pretty darn cool. All events should be this cool. I'm only going to events with valet from now on! Ok thanks. Overall, this was such a fun place.I came to check out the space: left with all the food and fun.The space, the team, the design, the music!! And that Photo Booth: all are essential part of throwing an epic event. All events should be this fun!! I guess they will be if you throw them here: weddings, birthdays, corporate events, sweet 16th. I wouldn't mind coming here for a photoshoot: hello contents!!Or just a fun anything event.Did I mention the views?? Ahh the possibilities!!!

A pretty venue for a small wedding. Two things I did not like:…read more1) they only let you have a rehearsal for an hour between 9 to 4 weekdays which meant anyone working normal business hours or coming from out of town could not make it. 2) Joanna interrupted me during the reception to go over the credit she was giving me. We had scheduled an hour at the end of our rental for clean up (which was plenty of time since we did not serve food) so I don't know why she felt the need to interrupt me during a busy hectic time for something like that.

My husband and I got married here in June of this year and we were so happy with our venue choice…read more Robinswood is a lovely space, it seems sort of rustic, but we were able to design our wedding to be anything but rustic. The highlight of working with this venue is Joanna. She is so incredibly warm and welcoming and focused on creating the event you want. She was available all the time and always answered emails and phone calls promptly. She is flexible and happy to meet and show you around and walk the grounds with you. She also suggested my amazing planner, Julia Pavlovski of Wedding Wise Seattle, and for that I am forever grateful (sorry, shameless plug, but it really was such a great recommendation). When I arrived to Robinswood on the day of, overwhelmed by everything that was going wrong (sooooo many things went wrong) Joanna saw me and gave me a giant hug and it really reassured me that she and the team were going to make sure everything in their power went perfect. And they did. The space is intimate. They say that they can fit over 200 people, but I wouldn't suggest it for over 100-125 as I feel you'd be quite cramped. We wanted an outdoor wedding and as it rained (even though the forecast was only 10% chance!!) on our big day, having the log cabin and awnings was a great relief for ourselves and our guests while the teams were prepping the reception area. The grounds are unique. I am actually a huge fan of the flow from ceremony garden area to cocktail/dancing area to reception area. It kept everyone organized and in one place. Additionally, their staff for day of is really great. We got compliments about the bartender and serving staff. I would say the things to be aware of is a lack of flexibility on their policies. Their policies are their policies and there isn't wiggle room, so if you were hoping to work with a specific caterer who isn't on their list, or serve liquor, or do a sparkler send off, etc be prepared to nix those ideas. In a way, it actually does make it easier for a bride to make decisions by narrowing down the options (trust me future brides, a million options is not always a good thing), but for people who have a very very specific idea in mind, talk to Joanna about those specific ideas before signing your contract to ensure detail you have in mind is allowed. Over all, we are very happy with Robinswood House. It was great for our perfectly imperfect day!

Plus- since it is private (versus state/city) you can being beer or wine in if you choose :) This private park on Lake Sammamish is a great alternative to state parks. Very easy to see, and they also do a good job arranging cars by size so no one is in the way and enforcing people who randomly decide to turn their lights on. Real movie theatre popcorn! I had no idea how much I missed this after months and months of not having any. The neutral: Donations go to the nonprofit wing of the park! The not good: Sound is terrible. It's through the radio and the first fifteen minutes of the movie wasn't even working (they did not restart it). I guess you could say it made for a retro drive in movie experience with funny sound. Even with bad sound though this would have been a five star experience - IF THE EMPLOYEES WERE WEARING MASKS. Every single one of the guests wore a mask. Only two employees were - the ones working the concession stand. The other four I saw did not even have a mask around their neck. Sure; they were outside, but come on! It's the law, and you are yelling directions so projecting your voice. I had even asked before if employees would be wearing masks and they said yes - but nope. Why????
