Very difficult to give Tin Room a unbiased review as I compare how the Tin Room was before COVID,…read morethe post-COVID inflation and before the influx of homeless into downtown Burien core. Tin Room looks the same and has some of the same vibe in the main room although the adjacent bar by the Theater entrance is now empty space. The staff was inviting and there was some light jazz music playing and a plenty of seating as not busy during happy hour. I came because I wanted to try the NY steak night medium rare as I remember pre-COVID it was a staple every week for $29, now $39 for 12oz steak, mashed potatoes and some asparagus. It was almost well done and the steak was a bit over cooked and not as tender as I'd like it to be. I had two cocktails that were good and was happy with the choice of cocktails and execution of my drinks. I came to check it out and see if will be coming back with my wife next time we're out for drinks and dinner. Looks to be a good place to meet friends for drinks and some appetizers, although nothing special for dinner that stands out.

My boyfriend and I attended an army affair here today and I've got to say it is much nicer inside…read morethan outside. From the outside, I really wasn't expecting much but the inside is quite spacious and the decorations were beautiful. Paper snowflakes were all over the ceiling and a Christmas tree in every corner. From the stage there were a sea of tables and chairs and then a couple of long tables with food. It was a nice evening spent with great company and good food. I've been too multiple lodges and I think this one is pretty neat.

From the music, to the canvas choice, and the energy, Heather made sure everything was exactly what I wanted. The paint party was SOOOO FUN. Heather's playlist and painting instructions were on point, and Mike made sure we had everything we needed (fresh brushes, drinks, and more). All of my guests were really happy with their paintings and a few said they wanted to plan MORE paint parties. So we'll definitely be back!!! The studio is spacious, clean, and really well equipped. The sound system is great. The tables have custom recessed drink holders, so you don't have to worry about knocking your beer over. Their aprons are cloth instead of plastic, so bonus points for less waste. AND we got to smash our leftover paint onto a canvas for extra creativity. You can tell that they put a lot of thought into the space, and I loved all the details. Plenty of parking too!

I had no idea a cool, retro-vibe oasis, complete with a stunning view of the Seattle Skyline in the…read morebackground, and a lush, undulating golf-course in the foreground, existed anywhere in the Seattle area, so color me happy to have discovered just that at Glen Acres Golf and Country Club. My fiancé and I were fortunate enough to move into one of the townhouses right on the course and as we've been getting settled in and dealing with a remodel, we have been thrilled to have the services available to us within the clubhouse. (Here's my disclaimer - I'm not reviewing my personal experience golfing, just the community and Country Club. I see a LOT of happy golfers every single day sun up to sun down outside my windows though and I plan to take lessons here so I'll update my review to include that in the future) The food and entertainment services at Glen Acres is excellently handled by Jason Winniford who makes it his mission to provide excellent customer service to both the resident guests who dine regularly in the dining room or lounge, as well as the special event guests who book the facilities for special celebrations, wedding, and parties. The amazing Yonna (not sure of the spelling but it rhymes with Donna) takes care of the guests in the lounge and makes the drinks behind the bar most days and she calls every guest by name it seems. She pours an excellent drink (I love her extra dirty martinis) and provides excellent service whether we are dining in or calling in a last minute order to be picked up. In fact as I'm writing this review I'm wondering if I should be keeping this hidden gem hidden for my own personal pleasure. Then again, a large part of the appeal of Glen Acres is the sense of community one feels upon entering the facility. And speaking of facility, the clubhouse itself is GORGEOUS GORGEOUS GORGEOUS and the rates to rent the facility and catering services are an unbeatable value. Really, there is NO place like this. Now - this isn't a place for slouchy, long baggy shorts or pants for males, nor shorty, short shorts or skirts for females. There's actually an expected, respectable manner of dress here and even on the golf course so this isn't the place to pop into wearing anything where the top of your bum or the bottom of your bum is exposed. In a nutshell, Glen Acres has an air of times long past when people were nice to each other, meals shared with friends and family had significance, and loud laughter erupted regularly. The food is good, the service even better, and the view cannot be matched.
