The staff were kind and attentive. They seem to authentically enjoy working there. There was a jacuzzi available for use even in the winter months. My husband and I will definitely be returning to this place when visiting the Seattle area.

This lodge was used for our return flight from SEATAC to HNL due to the convenience factor close to the airport. One thing I've learned over many years of travel - stay closer to the hotel if you have an early morning flight out. Don't risk staying miles away driving in traffic, because anything can happen. STELLAR: - Shout out to TJ and Minerva!!! - We were treated with the utmost care and almost like family the minute we checked in to drop off our luggage. We were very early but didn't want to explore Seattle with luggage in our rental car, so they stored it for us. They texted us several hours later to tell us our room was early. We ended up checking in at 10:30 PM because we had other plans and forgot to tell the hotel. They were very worried about us as they saw our luggage still sitting on the floor. They feared we got into a bad accident, or got kidnapped, and all other manner of bad things. Next time I will make sure to call ahead. GREAT: - Rooms are clean and comfortable, nice and spacious! - Quiet and restful. - Very attractive grounds. My plan was to explore but we got back late into the night, so perhaps next time. - Self parking, lot of room! Open-air. - Super close to the airport, less than 15 minutes away. - Complimentary mini Haagen Daas Ice Creams in the common lounge in the freezer (see picture) - Complimentary purified water stations, coffee in the AM and cookies. - Affordable, especially if you book out a year in advance like I did. We paid $274.36 for a Double Queen. - Self park daily $33.00. Other: - We grabbed take out breakfast from Taco Bell down the street for the airport wait. - If you want to have some wine, cocktails or beer, save your money, don't buy any from the gas station down the street, the cost was prohibitive. Buy before you get to Cedarbrook. The Lodge has a cocktail lounge but didn't try it. Amazing lodge with the best service, clean, spacious and quiet rooms on a gorgeous property near SEATAC airport. Return Factor: - Yes, next time will try to enjoy the grounds and the amenities instead of using it as a crash pad.

The huge lobby offered plenty of comfortable spaces to sit, relax, or get work done. Breakfast was complimentary with a solid selection, and the 24/7 coffee and espresso machine was a fantastic perk. Free coffee, water and tea downstairs and a small convenience shop. Indoor pool and small gym. Small bar available but also closes early Friendly staff Negatives: Their pool hours are not the best. Adults only get one hour at night pretty much. So if you want to unwind on the hot tub after being out in the cold all day, you cant but only after 9pm and before 10pm. Their parking exit wasn't automatic. We had to call each time to be let out. I don't know what that was about but its rather annoying when is raining so hard and windy to be pressing the button. Their business center was pretty much in the communal area and so it would be difficult to attempt to do anything other than browsing your flight on that computer. Their breakfast can compare to military chow. No bueno.

It's kind of fun to be able to just sit and watch the planes fly by and play a game with yourself to guess which airline it is. While a large percentage of them are Alaska airlines planes you can catch a Lufthansa, American, ANA, etc. If you're the outdoorsy type, there are a few walking paths and you can walk on the pier as well and basically stand out in the middle of the water. It's perfect for people watching. You can catch fishermen and fisherwomen, scuba divers and people in boats, runners, and people searching around for treasures down in the shells. It's really a place for most anyone to find something to keep busy with. You can just sit and relax and listen to the sound of the waves gently wash in if you like the simpler side of life. I'd say it's probably one of my favorite parks.

Do not swim in this water. Seriously. There's also a long pier, part of the marina area, where people enjoy crabbing and fishing off of. Low tide will yield several delightful sea creatures for your viewing pleasure. The park also has the benefit of a large grass area, which is used for all sorts of events during the summer months. Beyond that there's a very nicely maintained, paved trail. The over all area is a nice place to get out and enjoy the fresh air while there are a bunch of little cafes/restaurants all along to main road.

I expected to be welcomed in by the typical aura of a Holiday Inn Express. Boy, was I wrong. I needed a shuttle from the airport, and tried to call a few hours before my flight was to arrive to get it pre-arranged. Nope, can't do that. So, when I got off my plane, I called. Nope can't apparently do that either. I was directed to go to the 3rd floor of the parking garage, and then call. Wouldn't it be better if I was on my way and they were on their way and we would meet at the same time...? But no, apparently logic doesn't win. It was just by serendipity that the shuttle went by and I was able to flag it down. Checking in to the room was challenging as the two guys in front of me were having issues with extending a reservation. When I finally checked in, the girl said all of about two words to me. Didn't tell me how to get to my room, no mention of check out time/the hours of breakfast, nothing. I had to ask. Very poor customer service. Also strange - I take the stairs when I can and there is not a stairwell in existence that goes from the lobby to the upper floors. The room...it felt like a converted apartment. It was almost too big and the furniture didn't fit it. The first thing you'll notice upon entering is the HVAC units that 'whomp, whomp, whomp, whomp' - good luck sleeping through that. The room was cleanish - but felt kind of dingy/old. You could tell it was the lipstick on a pig phenomenon. Be prepared to bring earplugs if you want to sleep - planes taking off/landing (to be expected), loud traffic, car alarms going off - but things that could be fixed would be the HVAC units that rhythmically thrum with thermostats that click on and off, the toilet that randomly whooshes (I couldn't even get it to flush to begin with), and maybe put in some better windows for sound control. Two stars only for the bed and breakfast in the morning - it was delicious. But would I return? No way.

For this trip, though, we did not have the pups and had a painfully early flight, so we decided to stay close to the airport the night before. It's actually a really nice place. Check in was smooth and welcoming, and the front drive experience was great. I think the person who helped us at the front drive was named Ratchet (apologies if I'm getting that wrong), the only guy out front on New Year's Eve. With a full service Marriott, you generally know what you're getting, an updated, very clean room. One thing that stood out here was that the rooms have hardwood floors, which was interesting and a bit unexpected. Some of the rooms face inward toward the interior of the building. We had dinner and drinks at Aqua Terra, and it was definitely worth it. Our server, Jone, was excellent and made great recommendations. The airport shuttle was a huge plus. It runs every 15 minutes, and they have several shuttles going, which made the early morning departure way less stressful. Overall, a solid choice if you are looking for a convenient airport hotel, especially if you have an early flight or your flight gets delayed and you suddenly need a place to stay.

It has a mini fridge so highly recommend you get food. Since it's near the airport you won't have trouble getting an uber.
