The one key issue for me was the R-rating and since R-value is a major factor in comparing insulation options, I wanted to understand exactly what was being installed. I tried to follow up with the estimator to get clarification and asked for a call back. While multiple emails were exchanged from what seemed to be the corporate end, there was no actual human interaction, and my request for the estimator to call back failed. Because of that lack of follow-through, I ultimately decided to go with another vendor who was more responsive. AttiCare made a good first impression, but communication after the initial visit failed. I wouldn't proceed without speaking to the estimator. They lost a job due to that.

He was polite, introduced himself professionally, and was wearing protective gear and shoe guards to keep our floors clean. He went up to inspect our attic and explained that, given how our roof ridges are constructed, a radiant barrier installation wouldn't provide much benefit. He showed me photos and walked me through the reasoning clearly. It's rare to find a company that's upfront and honest instead of trying to upsell you on something you don't need. I texted Neo to ask if I had the date wrong and did not receive a response for over 30 minutes. When he did respond; he stated that he would be at my home if 15 minutes. I texted back that I was not at home. As I was pulling into my driveway, I saw a truck loaded with work materials pull up and stop across my driveway. I got out of the car and came into the house. Once inside, I did a quick task and went back to the front door to close and lock all the doors. As I Iooked outside, I saw the same truck parked across the street. The guy got out of the truck, walked up my stairs and rung my door bell. I do not know if he was drunk or high but there he was. His excuse was that he has something happen with his child. He insisted on coming in and taking a look. I declined. He insisted several times. I told him to get off my property and that I would be calling the office to let them know what had happened. I did call their office and let the receptionist know what had happened. She apologized. I tried to call Wesley to talk to him and left a voicemail. I never received any response. The communication was excellent, even on a holiday weekend I got called back within an hour of reaching out with questions, which I certainly did not expect! They arrived promptly for appointments and were thoughtful about avoiding tracking dirt into our home. They worked with us to customize their work to our coastal climate and were very transparent about exactly what materials they would be using (all top of the line, industral-grade!). I have pets and toddlers and they took my concerns about chemical disinfects seriously and offered several options to make sure I was comfortable with what was used in our home. They really seem to take pride in their work and enjoyed sharing before and after pictures to demonstrate all the improvements they made to our crawl space. There has been this persistent smell of rodent urine in one of our closets for literally decades, no matter what we have done. Not any more! I could not recommend Rywen Insulation more highly for rodent control work. We've had rodent control people here before, but never at the level that Rywen takes things to. They put in place genuine long-term preventative measures to keep rats and mice out, not just patching holes. And that has made all the difference. No more smell in our under-the-stairs closet! And, I'm not sure if it is always a part of their service, but they offered us a one-year warranty. Rats and mice did return --- probably due to a contractor leaving our crawlspace door open overnight with the lights on, several times (oops). But Rywen took care of the problem immediately, no questions asked and no additional money requested, for the entire year of the warranty. They aren't cheap. But they are soooo worth it.
