Javier, the remediation project manager, was great. He was great with communication and very helpful and attentive. No problem there. If it were just the remediation, 5 stars. However, when it came to the restoration, Manny, the restoration project manager, fell short. Very little to no communication from him. I had to use either Javier or the office manager Brandi to communicate with him. His estimate included many extra items and was impossible to reach to sort it out. I was also assured the restoration would be done in a timely manner but took a week just to come and do an inspection/estimate, another week to receive the estimate, then never followed up to go over the estimate. All the while, I had to inquire almost daily to keep things moving. I eventually decided to cut ties and go with a different company. I would recommend this company for remediation but look elsewhere for restoration. read more

I really loved MycoDry Systems service! From how responsive and personable Ed was, to how responsive and efficient Sara and her team were during the actual demolition and roof repair. I had a leak from my ceiling from the upstairs neighbors' dishwasher flooding. Ed came to check out the leak and put a fan to dry out the ceiling. When we found out the building had insulation instead of bedrock, Sara and team came to do the mold and wetness inspection. They were very considerate of my kitchen/dining area space, installing a tent to contain the dust, and moving my furniture and household items gently out of the way. After they cut holes for inspecting mold, and then patched the areas with dry wall, I did not like how textured they patched the ceiling. It was very obvious which areas of my ceiling got work done. However, Ed reassured me that the texture would be scraped down when they came back to do the paint. Indeed the texture was scraped down to match my existing ceiling and after a few layers of paint, I couldn't even tell that work had been done to my ceiling! Sara and another worker were very good about showing me the work/progress along each step, confirming that I was happy with the work, explaining the demolition and what they found, and also tidying up my kitchen/dining area when they were done with the demo/patching/painting. Ed & Sara are wonderful and do great job. No bull! They are responsive, reliable, knowledgeable and get the job done! We had black water coming up from the shower and the carpet in adjacent hallway was soaked. After having the clog snaked by the plumber we were left with a big mess on the floor and carpet. MycoDry came out the same day to sanitize the whole area and they set their fans and dehumidifiers up right away to dry out the floor. They even removed the wet insulation from the basement ceiling, put it out to dry and then reinstalled it a few days later. All of this is essential to avoid any mold problems in the future. We've used MycoDry in the past and will certainly call them again if we have the need. read more

This is a fantastic company. My contractor found black mold in my house and recommended this company. I called Ed and he was luckily able to come out that same day to do an assessment and give me a bid on a Friday. Ed came Monday with one of his workers, Barry. They explained everything to me and Barry worked hard all day to remove the mold from my bedroom walls and bathroom tile. Barry was nice, professional, and knowledgeable. Ed was great to work with. Very honest and clear about cost, and he found a way to do it much more cheaply than we expected. Rather than taking out the walls we used an existing hatch to clean and sterilize the mould, which meant no demo and no new plaster work. He also fit me into his schedule quickly. I paid over $900 for very little time or work and only paid what was demanded in their bill because at their first visit I was required to sign a contract. The big storm last December caused 3 long cracks in the stucco exterior wall of the building, and water had seeped in through these cracks. So, even though we haven't seen rain in the past 9 months, mold was growing on the interior wall. I highly recommend Ed from MycoDry. He is very professional. Ed assessed the problem and explained everything carefully. Ed, Sylvester and Sarah did such a great job coordinating working together and removing the contaminated drywall, treating it with a green product and using a HEPA-vacuum. Then they replaced with new drywall, plaster and repainted the area so that it looks brand new. The exterior wall stucco cracks were repaired and repainted, and they did an excellent job of that too. After 2 years of no rain and then came the big storm in December, my roof had a big leak, and within 2 hours my house was in a major disaster. Roofers were all busy with new leaks. By the time a roofer finally came and fixed my roof, walls and ceilings were showing mold. I knew Ed Garcia from a job 7 years ago, so I called him up again. This time he owned his own company, MycoDry. He was most helpful in evaluating the situation and tried to give me the best solution but minimizing the cost without giving up the quality.
