Junk removal took care of that job & removed the rat poop. Then I called A2Z to clean everything assuming that's all I'd have to do. Last night I saw a giant rat run across my garage so now I've paid $3500 to hazmat clean the 1/2 my garage but still have a rat infestation. I'm now working with a rat removal service but before A2Z allowed me to hire them & get in contract they should have advised me to be sure to complete the proper step beforehand of ensuring the rat infestation was resolved. Now i'm out $3500 for an unnecessary garage cleaning and still have a rat infestation. As a new homeowner (or any homeowner) I'd assume a good business would make sure I've done the pre work (in this case rat infestation elimination) before accepting the job. That's in my view a shitty thing to have done to me as the client. Really disappointed because they seemed professional throughout the process. So for this reason of not holistically proactively making sure the proper prep was done I cannot rate this business any higher than a 2 star. I'm not angry I am however very disappointed and feel that I've been tricked. I cannot recommend this business.

After my insurance company caused complications that led to First Call terminating the job which I understood, I received an invoice in May of last year. I paid that balance in full with two separate checks within two weeks. I have the receipts, the copies of the checks, and the bank statements showing exactly when First Call cashed them. After a full year of zero communication, I woke up today to a voicemail and email threatening to send me to collections within 48 hours. They claimed they had been "trying to reach me" for 12 months, which is untrue. I checked my call logs and my email history; there was absolutely nothing. When I called and provided my proof of payment and the exact dates they cashed my checks, they admitted the "error" was simply because someone forgot to check a box in their system. It is incredibly stressful and offensive to have your credit threatened because a company can't be bothered to check their own bank deposits before sending out threats. As a veteran, I live by a standard of integrity and doing your due diligence. Relying on a "checked box" as the Bible instead of doing actual research is lazy and unprofessional. Do better, not just for your customers, but for the reputation of the guys out there doing the actual work.

I've never had to use a Water Restoration service before so I browsed trusty Yelp and reached out to Fire & Water Damage. Glad fellow Yelp friend Karen W gave a glowing review! They seem to answer calls 24/7 and I was able to schedule an appointment quickly. Mike was main point of contact and gave us an estimate and scope of work. Basically, they had to tear out the drywall and insulation from the wet area, dry and dehumidify the area for days, and then put on moon suits and remove any mold. We were able to have 2 techs come on a Friday and then let the dehumidifier run over the weekend. We also had to tear out our upper cabinet since the top was damaged by water. On Monday, they came back to remove any leftover mode and patch things up. The total price came in well below the estimate, which is a huge plus. Very happy with the service and efficiency. If you ever suspect you have water damage from leaks, call these guys and get the problem resolved to ensure mold doesn't form or worst, spread. Note that their services are purely restorative - they'll dry out the water-damaged area and get rid of all the mold. You'll need to hire a plumber first to stop the leaks and then afterwards, a drywall contractor to patch up the holes with insulation and new drywall followed by texturing and painting.

Despite the scope of the remediation growing, Camilo and Sophia showed their experience by staying calm and just working through the issues. However, crawlspaces can get moldy and wet from lack of care. If you ever encounter rodents, there is a good chance they came via the crawlspace. After all, we do hear noises at night at times, which is creepy. Jacob visited and gave a comprehensive review and estimate. We basically went for a full package of rodent control, cleaning, and installing a new vapor shield to keep it dry. The while job took maybe 2.5 days with a crew of 3 workers each day. Outstanding quality work. First phase was sealing up the homes around the house and crawlspace, and laying traps. The attic was inspected too. This was followed up with weekly followups to ensure no more rodents. This scope was subcontracted to Golden State Critter Control. Highly recommend working with Greg. The next two phases involve cleaning and eventually reinstallation of the vapor shield. Compared to what we had before, it was day and night! I also appreciated the crew alerting me to a leaky drain pipe. I later worked with a plumber to replace a cracked 3"D drain pipe that connected upstairs to downstairs. It was fixed in about 3 hours with two plumbers. Definitely recommend Crawlspace Clean for rodent control and crawlspace cleaning. 5 stars.

Looking for a quick solution, I made the mistake of hiring Crawl Space Clean without getting multiple bids. I spent over $14,000 on rodent-proofing and subfloor insulation replacement, only for the rodents to return. When I called them back, I was informed that my one-year warranty had already expired. They charged me extra just to patch entry holes they had missed during the initial job. During that same visit, they claimed I now needed a vapor barrier, quoting me an astronomical $16,000--though they offered a high-pressure "$500 discount" if I signed the contract that very day. Feeling suspicious, I finally did what I should have done at the start and called three other highly rated contractors for estimates. Every single one of them came back with quotes under $7,600 (less than half of Crawl Space Clean's price), and all of them included a 3-year rodent warranty. Furthermore, the contractor I ultimately hired to install the vapor barrier pointed out that the subfloor insulation previously installed by Crawl Space Clean had inadequate support and was already sagging. The crew was professional, punctual, and tidy and would also work on weekends sometimes. There were some minor bumps along the way but final results look fantastic and function even better. Adam came back when he had enough open schedule to fix everything and some parts were shipped in. An incredibly nice guy, and just an incredibly fair and integrity oriented operation. I can't say enough positive things about PREMIER PRO RESTORATION. On a Monday morning, our sewer line backed up, leaving a terrible mess in our finished basement. Fred & Foad and their team saved our home. We woke up one morning last summer to a flooded house where it was literally raining indoors. We called e.z. restoration and even though their crew was scheduled to do other repairs, they quickly rescheduled and showed up at our house ready to set up driers, pack everything and do the needed demo to the affected rooms. Foad was responsive, honest and a bit of a rock in a situation that was completely unsettling for new home owners like us. His crew was professional and responsive and Foad helped us deal with our very unresponsive insurance adjuster. Fred and Foad were amazing at a time that was very stressful for us. Moving into a new home and expecting a baby, we didn't want to have to factor in fixing damage due to water that destroyed the better part of our bathrooms and kitchen area. both knowledgeable and warm-hearted. We had a leak 2 weeks ago in our roof, causing pretty severe damage in our living room. Badi and Isaea were amazing. Fast, courteous, and efficient. They repaired all water damage in less than 4 days, and started the rebuild of our room with their own contractors. I had to call Premier Pro Restoration for an emergency water leak in my crawl space. They responded right away to my online request and got back to me within a few minutes of my initial request on yelp. The team came prepared and surveyed the damaged pipes. They cleared the water, repaired the pipe and installed a sump pump in the crawl space, all within 4 days. They communicated on every step of the way and gave me regular updates. I'd definitely recommend them knowing how fair they are with their prices and the quality of work you get. read more

Last Thursday we discovered that our water heater was leaking, and the water had gotten into nearby…read morewalls and caused mold to grow. I called Reactic Restoration on Friday, and Daniel Garza was able to inspect the damage that same day. Our house is older, so testing for asbestos was a standard part of the process; Daniel was able to get us in touch with an asbestos testing company that provides quick test results. That company got a tester to our house the next day (Saturday), and results were available Monday before noon. Fortunately, the tests showed that no asbestos was present. Daniel was able to assign someone to come to our house that same day, and set up dehumidifiers and plastic containment sheets with zipper doors, to seal the work zone, and to put down plastic to protect the carpet. On Tuesday, another team was able to remove the mold-affected wall materials, and wipe down the area with an excellent non-hazardous but effective disinfectant. They knew our preferred plumber was arriving at 1pm, and they were done with all work, including HEPA vacuuming and cleanup, before that time. The dehumidifiers are still set up, and will run for at least 48 hours. Daniel checked the area and the machines today (Wednesday), to make sure everything had been done correctly and that the dehumidifiers were working as intended. I am very happy with the service provided by Reactic Restoration. As Daniel kindly acknowledged on Friday, it's a shock to find mold in your house unexpectedly. It's been less than a week, and the mold is gone, and everything smells normal again! Everyone I encountered from Reactic was professional and kind. I hope we won't need their services again; but if we do, they will be our first call.

Junk removal took care of that job & removed the rat poop. Then I called A2Z to clean everything assuming that's all I'd have to do. Last night I saw a giant rat run across my garage so now I've paid $3500 to hazmat clean the 1/2 my garage but still have a rat infestation. I'm now working with a rat removal service but before A2Z allowed me to hire them & get in contract they should have advised me to be sure to complete the proper step beforehand of ensuring the rat infestation was resolved. Now i'm out $3500 for an unnecessary garage cleaning and still have a rat infestation. As a new homeowner (or any homeowner) I'd assume a good business would make sure I've done the pre work (in this case rat infestation elimination) before accepting the job. That's in my view a shitty thing to have done to me as the client. Really disappointed because they seemed professional throughout the process. So for this reason of not holistically proactively making sure the proper prep was done I cannot rate this business any higher than a 2 star. I'm not angry I am however very disappointed and feel that I've been tricked. I cannot recommend this business.

When figuring out restoration companies and filing an insurance claim, I went on Yelp Quotes to figure out who could respond as quickly as possible. Many of the companies said they didn't have anyone available, and 1-800 WATER DAMAGE was out of the first to respond. I didn't know 1-800 WATER DAMAGE are franchises of a larger company, but so far I had a good first impression. They sent one of their Project Managers Angel Torres to do an assessment. He came when he said would, was very friendly and explained things in a clear manner. After they sent a quote, I felt comfortable proceeding with them. Before an insurance adjuster could do their assessment, Angel came before to setup high grade dehumidifiers and air filters and do a hard surface cleaning. Angel also offered to be around with when the insurance adjuster came in case there were any questions he could help offer, I don't know if that's a common practice but Angel seemed sincere. Angel was very thorough in documenting/phographing every part of the process. He also offered to talk and explain things with my tenant, which I know helped put my tenant's mind at ease, most times the vendor doesn't bother talking to the tenants and leaves that to the owner/landlord to do, so my impression is that was above and beyond. Angel estimated the job would take 4-7 business days, I think his team did it in 5. While I'm sure they probably deal with bigger scale jobs than mine, Angel and his team were very responsive to my needs and my tenant's needs. Very good experience, although I really hope I don't have to need their services again.. at least for a long long while.

Without hesistation and/or complaint he professionally went under my home's crawl space in his hazmat suit and equipment and in a few minutes located where my water leak was coming from and the extent of my water damage underneath my house. He did everything with no mess and also hooked me up with a great plumber/pipe repair guy who also did a great professional job at a good/decent/reasonable price...GREAT WORK...I would recommend to everyone!

Javier, the remediation project manager, was great. He was great with communication and very…read morehelpful and attentive. No problem there. If it were just the remediation, 5 stars. However, when it came to the restoration, Manny, the restoration project manager, fell short. Very little to no communication from him. I had to use either Javier or the office manager Brandi to communicate with him. His estimate included many extra items and was impossible to reach to sort it out. I was also assured the restoration would be done in a timely manner but took a week just to come and do an inspection/estimate, another week to receive the estimate, then never followed up to go over the estimate. All the while, I had to inquire almost daily to keep things moving. I eventually decided to cut ties and go with a different company. I would recommend this company for remediation but look elsewhere for restoration.

I really loved MycoDry Systems service! From how responsive and personable Ed was, to how…read moreresponsive and efficient Sara and her team were during the actual demolition and roof repair. I had a leak from my ceiling from the upstairs neighbors' dishwasher flooding. Ed came to check out the leak and put a fan to dry out the ceiling. When we found out the building had insulation instead of bedrock, Sara and team came to do the mold and wetness inspection. They were very considerate of my kitchen/dining area space, installing a tent to contain the dust, and moving my furniture and household items gently out of the way. After they cut holes for inspecting mold, and then patched the areas with dry wall, I did not like how textured they patched the ceiling. It was very obvious which areas of my ceiling got work done. However, Ed reassured me that the texture would be scraped down when they came back to do the paint. Indeed the texture was scraped down to match my existing ceiling and after a few layers of paint, I couldn't even tell that work had been done to my ceiling! Sara and another worker were very good about showing me the work/progress along each step, confirming that I was happy with the work, explaining the demolition and what they found, and also tidying up my kitchen/dining area when they were done with the demo/patching/painting. I loved how quick they worked, how responsive they were, and the end result.

We had moisture build up in our crawlspace, with what we thought was mold or spores appearing on…read morethe soil (white/off white in color). We were concerned about it, worried about any longterm effects it may create to our home and our health, and so decided to look for a company to remove the white substance build up, treat the the whole area, and apply protective barrier to prevent the moisture. After getting an estimate from another company, we decided to go with Bordi Restoration. The work included: scraping the top soil, spray a disinfectant onto the soil, used a HEPA air scrubber, and then fitted a crawlspace moisture barrier. They just completed the work today. The work was estimated for three days, but they finished in two days instead. Everything was done nicely, with the moisture barrier fitted neatly, really clean install. The workers were friendly and respectful of our property. Communication with Craig (owner) was easy, as he responded quickly to our text messages, explained things very well, his responses being detailed, but also easy to understand. It was also easy to communicate with Donovan, the staff member who handled the scheduling and billing, as he was very easy to work with, and very helpful. The value was very good, as the estimated cost was cheaper than the other company, and the work they did came out very nicely. Working with this company was easy and smooth, and we would recommend them for sure. Thank you Bordi Restoration for the great work on our home, and also for the awesome service! First, I'd like to say that the service was great! Craig had came out to take a look at our closet…read morewhich developed surface mold due to moisture and lack of air circulation in the corner and helped us understand if there's other sources of water/moisture/leaks we need to be worried of. We got a quote which was very competitive and reasonable and moved forward to setting a date for the crew to clean and do a deeper assessment. We had accidentally forgotten that we agreed for the work to start on a Thurs instead of Friday, and the office called right away to clarify and sent the team out very quickly after we sent them away. The cleaning crew themselves were great! Shu, the forewoman, was on top of it, communicated the problem and solution in a very straightforward and simple manner. Was very thorough with pictures, instructions, and her assessment. Craig identified that we may need a moisture barrier in the crawlspace to really help decrease the amount of moisture impacting the walls during the rainy season. Another quote for the closet and bathroom clean-up was sent to us, which had not changed in terms of pricing. We knew that the 2nd project would require a new quote later. After 3 days of drying, we contacted Craig to coordinate time for pick up of the equipment. We also received the finalized invoice- the cost ended up being nearly 2x the original quote, which caught us off-guard. Craig explained that the labor hours had to increased from an estimated of 4 hrs to 12 hrs and covered for travel (though we only live about 2.5 mi away from his listed office) and equipment loading time, which surprised us as it was never mentioned or called out. There was already a $100 service/trip charge, so for additional hrs counted for travel felt unreasonable. The crew was on-site for 5 hours max. He did give us a discount which was appreciated, but we felt that the quotes and pricing model were not transparent. This really disappointed us, especially given the quality of service and how easy it was to work with Craig initially. We had a 2nd project to encapsulate the crawlspace which we went with another company whose pricing ended up exactly as estimated, despite taking a 1.5 days more than anticipated.
