For an asbestos abatement job, I obtained 4 quotes. It was easy to communicate with Eisen and I received a call back on the same day. After describing the job, I was given a verbal quote of roughly how much it would cost. Of the 4 quotes, one was several thousand higher than the other 3. When we bought our first house in 2024, we did a lead/asbestos test and found out all the drywall had asbestos. I knew nothing about asbestos. I'm the type of person who needs to understand everything about a new topic like this before acting on it. We needed to do some electrical, HVAC, and plumbing work, so we had to remove some drywall to get access. I called Eisen and spoke with Scott. He was extremely patient, straightforward, and helpful. He answered all my questions. To be clear, I probably kept him on the phone for a couple hours over the course of a few calls, and he answered all my questions without hesitation. He was very generous with his time. I hired them, and they did a great job. Pricing was very reasonable as well. I quoted another abatement company to compare, and Eisen was slightly lower. The team was just as friendly and easy to work with as Scott was on the phone. They got the job done quickly and left the area very clean. They answered a bunch more of my questions too, and were very transparent in showing me how they did their work to make me feel comfortable and confident. We had a contractor lined up for a bathroom remodel March 2025. We discovered we had 2% asbestos in the joint compound for the areas impacted by the bathroom remodel. Before the remodel could start, we needed to hire someone to properly remove the walls, ceilings, doors, tub, and vanities since the contractor for the remodeling is not licensed to perform asbestos removal. I called Eisen and spoke with Dan to request an estimate for asbestos removal work. We were doing our due diligence and getting 3 estimates. Dan was easy to talk to, knowledgeable, accommodating, patient, understanding and really wanted us to choose Eisen; not in an aggressive or unprofessional way, just by using his superior customer service skills. The estimate was extremely competitive (it was the lowest by a couple hundred dollars to the second lowest estimate). It was nice and unexpected. Dan was responsive and did what he said he would do. When Dan's team showed up April 2025 to do the job, it was so streamlined and smooth. It could not have been more efficient the way they worked and the steps they took to complete the job. I have now used Eisen Environmental on three separate projects, and I would rate each one 5 stars. Each time they demo'ed a room in less than a day, I came home with everything down to the studs and not a grain of dust in any room in the house. It's a great value given the cleanliness of the job. They are very professional, on the last job they found leftover asbestos piping that had been removed years ago and left in the crawl space, they told me about it and offered to clean it all up while they were here. Prior to today I would've left them a 3.5 star review - I believe they do the bare minimum to get the job done and don't care to be helpful. I could tell this already from my interactions with them prior to signing with them, but they were the cheapest option at the time. After today, I can't say I would recommend this company based on the incredibly rude treatment I received. We found out after work was completed that they did not remove a piece of asbestos in our wall. It was visible after they did the demolition. I emailed Dan with a photo of it, and he immediately recognized that it contained asbestos and called offering to take care of it. When I tried to ask more questions, he got very unnecessarily defensive and angry. He wouldn't let me get a word in and kept talking over me. He was also very condescending and jumped to conclusions about things I said while not letting me explain since he kept talking over me. By the end of the phone call, it was clear that he wasn't interested in having a productive conversation or being helpful. We ended up having to get another abatement company to take care of the remaining piece of asbestos. I wouldn't put my trust in them - if you have to go with them make sure you have someone knowledgeable who can confirm the work they've done. **edit** Dan's response perfectly exemplifies the core of the issue. I mentioned that the asbestos had been removed from the wall (bc it was unknown to the removers that it was asbestos) to try to explain the current situation, and he seemingly jumped to conclusions that I wanted them to cleanup someone else's "mess" (which was not actually a mess but he did not let me explain that). Of course by that point, I did not want to give a single penny to someone who would treat me that way. If he had stopped talking long enough to let me speak, then we might have come to a resolution. 3 weeks was because we did not start the remodeling work on my house for a few weeks after the demolition was completed. read more

We're remodeling our house with a 1950's era kitchen, bathroom and laundry room, and needed to remove 400 square feet of legacy asbestos tiling that was thoroughly glued to the sub-floor. In addition, we had full-on kitchen and bathroom floor and ceiling cabinetry to replace, with pre-1970's, potentially lead paint, to remove. We contacted Eisen because they so efficiently handled the disposition of a legacy Transite (asbestos-cement) furnace flue about five years ago, and at the lowest cost as well. This time, they preformed with the same level of professional, technical, non-nonsense, and competitive expertise as before, removing the tiles and carefully disposing of the cabinetry, following on with independent air quantity testing, for which Eisen guaranteed a pass. The work was done in a very timely manner, even though the tile removal required three hours of power-chipping. The entire workspace was completely contained in a ventilated, environmental envelope they set up and dismantled afterwards. The staff was friendly, knowledgeable, and considerate. Total disposal was half a ton of debris, with documented disposal to two different certified sites. Considering the amount of skilled work involved, Eisen definitely earned their fee.
