I am an absentee condo owner. My unit experienced water damage from the unit above me. My HOA recommended ARC for damage control. Nina asked for payment before work can begin. ARC charged me $8000 for category 3 work ( toilets and sewage) while the damage came from a dishwasher. Insurance only reimbursed me for $4000. Nina sounded very sincere and helpful. Just beware. Update on my case from 10/10/2023: I officially submitted my complaint to CSLB. And have been assigned an investigator. It was also confirmed that the board was not able to locate ARC licenses. ARC is not license to do contract work. Normally this is readily provided on badges, paperwork, invoices, etc which is not. More importantly, it is not on the state board data base. Once I complete my work with the investigator I will provide an update. I hope people who are reading this review find it helpful to not have to go through what I went through. One thing I wanted to add from my previous review is that the unlicensed technicians who removed the contaminated waste from my home, took it out from my crawl space, through my bedroom, through my hallway, and out my front door. We had our inside wall water leak and the ARC team came to the rescue. They managed to restore the leaked area back to normal. Their estimate was off since they found more areas needed to be treated. The process with our insurance (Costco) claim was very very long, the leak happened in May 2023 and we finally received their payment in Dec 2023. Nina is awesome and she is very patient in dealing with the insurance adjuster, for some reason, our adjuster keeps changing 3-4 times (they left the company). She is very responsive to our email. I love Nina!!! Our guest room toilet flooded a couple weeks ago into the carpet, and after I got around to addressing it a few days later there were a ton of small mold spots in the subfloor when I finally pulled opened the carpet. I did the best I could with various treatments (bleach, white vinegar, mold cleanser) but couldn't get them to go away in the subfloor. Today in a mad scramble to figure out how to deal with it because the carpet repair person was here and didn't know what to do either...I called my plumber, who suggested her.
