Michael was really helpful in checking my place for heat leaks, and gave great advice to reduce the moisture in my home. Wasn't a need for his services, but he was really generous in offering referrals for insulation and roofing. Really helpful! read more

Due to a renovation mishap, one of the toilets in one of the bathrooms leaked from the base into the wall behind the toilet, and black and green mold developed. I tried doing mold remediation by myself, and I had an independent lab test performed in the problematic area to see how well I took care of the problem. There were mold spores detected in the air because I didn't properly clean the area. I then contacted several mold remediation companies, and I chose Michael and Ido's company due to the manner in which Michael explained everything to me and the confidence he instilled in me that he and his team would get the job done. Michael and his team were extremely professional in how they took care of business. They did exactly what they said they were going to do. I had the same independent lab do another check, and thankfully, the mold spores were gone from the air. Many thanks to Michael and team! read more

Michael was incredibly kind and was great to work with. We had a water leak and he was able to clear it out right away. When we found that it spread, he was very transparent with our options. read more

Highly Recommend Swift Restoration. Michael and his team were first to respond. We received a very clear and concise explanation of the complete process and the best way to deal with the leak. The quote was very reasonable. The crew arrived on time and completed all the work within the proposed timeframe. They cleaned and removed all the trash. Overall great people and great company to work with. read more

Great company to work with. As a General Contractor in the Bay Area I have recommended Michael to many clients. He is timely, cost efficient and does great work. Highly recommend this company for all your mold removal needs. read more

As an urban, white-collar girly-girl, I am at a marked disadvantage when it comes to dealing with service and repair companies. Most of the time I don't know what I actually need or what it should cost, and so have to rely on the recommendations of the good people of Yelp, and the integrity of the company I'm dealing with. Unfortunately, that doesn't always turn out so well; I've experienced my share of effusive praise and promises followed by inferior (or worse) performance. In short, I'm a bit skeptical of 5 star reviews and always wary about buying services I don't know anything about - like mold and water damage inspections. So when I decided to buy a cottage in the eternally damp redwoods, I wasn't entirely confident I could find someone I could trust to do a full and accurate mold inspection. I mean, it can be deadly right?! Nothing to mess around with... Based on Yelp reviews, I called Swift Restoration and was initially pretty pleased - prompt, friendly, helpful and full of (free!) information...everything you could ask for. But they really earned my gratitude and trust when Michael came out to do the inspection and testing itself - he was thorough, explained everything, friendly and most importantly didn't try to charge me for every little service, or up-sell me to additional services. In short, he was a true professional. Luckily, we didn't find mold or evidence of water damage, but if I ever find myself in need of removal services, I know who I'll call :) read more

Michael was amazing. We had flooding in our second story master bathroom and the water went in our loft, and in the ceiling of our living room. Michael was prompt, and set everything up within the week. Michael is extremely personable, professional, and I would advise if anyone needs moisture mitigation, hit them up for sure! read more

Called and told Michael, who answered, that I had an issue with mold in one of the rooms in my home and that I would like somebody to come out and take a look. He hesitated for a moment and then said he was sorry but he was completely booked up and that I should call another company (no referral). I'm sorry. You're completely booked up until when? Tomorrow? Next week? Next year? Until retirement? Maybe my job was too small for these guys, I don't know. read more

I have known Ido, the owner of Swift Restoration, for a few years since when I worked for a fancy property management company in San Francisco, and Ido worked under a boss with a different mold restoration company. I now live in Monterey and there was a horrible case of burst pipes/mold in my rental house; and landlord ignored it. I peeked around online for a local vendor, called 2 companies and noone called me back. Since it was an emergency, I txted Ido and asked if he knew anyone who worked in the area. He said he'd take care of me and sent Michael (bear in mind, it was Friday @1pm, and Michael was there at 3pm). Next Wednesday morning we had a full lab report on hands. It helped me and my boyfriend get out of the lease and get our full deposit back. I want to stress that Ido and his crew would do this for any good client, not just a friend. They are extremely knowledgeable and have a fantastic work ethic. If you have encountered mold in your place, they will take care of the problem very professionally. I have been a renter in the USA for 7 years and a property manager for 4 years. Believe me, I have met all kinds of vendors and I don't just go around writing reports on Yelp (bad or good). I am just very thankful and hope my review will help someone make the right choice while shopping around for a mold remediation company. read more

Thanks YELP for providing consumers with this tool - who would you call without knowing someone who has done this - and most people don't! I read all the reviews in this category, and Swift stood out as very trustworthy and professional. That is exactly what I found - Michael came out, super helpful - no mold luckily! - but he also gave us some really solid advice as to what may be causing the funky odor at our second home. Thanks Swift - Thanks Yelp! read more

I give 5 stars for the kindness & care provided when I called for help. I told of our situation and he said they are about 10 days out and we should not wait but he knew of someone else I should call that he's worked with and had very good experience with. How great it that?! The care in his voice was evident, really wanting to help. I so wanted to wait the 10 days, but we can't. If you call Swift Restoration, you will be in good hands. read more

Michael is just the kind of person you need in a leaky bathroom situation! I called to get an estimate, and not only did he pick up the call, he scheduled an appointment for later that same day! Off to a great start. Fifteen minutes prior to our scheduled appointment, he calls to let me know he's on his way. Now I'm really shocked! Michael shows up, listens to my situation, and then walks me through his thought process to determine the source of my problem. He spends at least a half hour testing, inspecting, and even crawled under my house (ew) and snapped some photos to document what he found. You know what he found? I need new caulking around my tub. That's it! You know what he charged me? NOTHING. Not a penny. I may not need his help this time around but you can be certain that ANY time I need a plumber in the future, he is at the TOP of my list. THANK YOU MICHAEL!! read more

These guys are quick and they get the job done right! We have a mold problem in our apartment and they were able to get rid of those bad boys for a very reasonable price. Better than other places we consulted. They also did a great job cleaning our carpet and getting the pet odors out, something our previous professional carpet cleaner was unable to do. read more

I called Swift Restoration Co. today, 8/20/13, as I needed an inspection of my crawl space. Michael not only promptly returned my call but also came to my home within just a few hours. There was no charge for the inspection. I felt that Michael was very honest and helpful. read more

No actual work done, so I can't rate that aspect of the business. Requested a visit for inspection, looking for potential water damage / mold. They were: on time, courteous, and honest about not finding any signs of trouble. (Welcome surprise, given the history of this house.) read more

This is a terrific company that does outstanding work! They fulfill all their commitments to the "t". They certainly know what they are doing and provide excellent service to the customer. read more

I had to do a small fix as a result of a leak (leak is a compliment to that thing) and I called the company talked to a guy called Micki (I'm probably writing it wrong). He gave me all the info needed, came over, did the assessment and did a faboulase job! I hope I will never need them again but if I do they will defiantly be the right company to get the work done in a professional way and in reasonable cost! Highly recommended! read more

I've called this company twice this week to try and schedule an appointment. The problem is, they never answer, it just goes to voicemail. To make matters worse, they NEVER call back. Not even once to say that they were busy. So much for being "SWIFT." Don't waste your time with this company read more

Ido was great and I highly recommend him. 1. Called me within 24 hour of my request for free evaluation on his website. 2. Called me a few hours before appointment to confirm. 3. Showed up promptly at the agreed time. 4. Provided excellent advice on our mold situation. Overall, excellent experience. I wanted to do business with him. M read more

With all the great reviews I was a little skeptic about making the initial call, Micheal answered and was here all ready to check it out the same day. I found out that I have some mold issues in my basement and needed to fix the problem ASAP. I understood that it's no joke and I was lucky to have called when I did. Swift restoration were great, They came by and checked it all out without even charging me for the inspection and gave me all the details I needed for the process, most companies will charge for just a visit. It was just one day of work that was needed when he arrived with his team, they were very pleasant and flexible to my hours as well. Six months later I can say that everything is still great and the job was done at a fare price in less then a week from my call. Thanks again for the great response and of course would use their service again. read more

We had a major roof leak as a result of the recent storm. Walls and ceiling were completely wet. Carpets and hardwood floor got wet as well. We had a lot of water to remove from the bedrooms and living room. Swift Restoration were first to arrive and had the best price. They are professional, always on time, and such a great people to be around and count on. They did everything they said and even more. Didn't try to charge for more or take advantage of us. I will recommend these guys to anyone in this kind of crisis. Stop look around. Go with Swift! read more

My family just bought a house in Milpitas, the inspection report said the crawl space was moist, but never mention any leak. The tenant just told us there was a strong musty smell around the kitchen. He said it came out from the sink. We had our contractor to look at it. There was a leak from the kitchen from the wall. There were water went under the crawl space and smell like musty. The leak has been there for a while. I'm so glad that I called Swift Restoration. My sister saw a review in Swift Restoration in SF that they actually do have a location in San Jose and left a message. But it is better to fill out the online form also. I called around 2pm and Michael stopped by the next day because he was fully booked and I met with him the next day. He is really friendly and honest. He gave me the estimate within 2 hours. Once I confirmed, he called me immediately to set up the appointment. They were so efficient and took care of the problem within four hours. Even our tenant is amaze the different. I deal with different restoration company before. I found Swift is the best and professional. Thanks Mike for all you did for us. read more

I filled out the online form and within minutes got a phone call. I got professional advice regarding my high humidity townhouse. They gave me some good tips on how to lower my humidity level and spot for mold. I was happy with the service I received. I haven't decided yet if I will get the mold inspection so I can't comment on anything other than the initial online form and professional advice I got on the call. read more

I called them fearing the worst: that they would diagnose something that I couldn't know for sure was true or not and be presented with a pricey estimate. Michael came out, did an inspection, and assured me that there wasn't any obvious problem. We had installed a vapor barrier recently with another contractor. He inspected the work, confirmed its quality, and recommended a wait and see approach. He was reassuring and above all, honest. And all for free! It's the way to earn customer loyalty! And he came the same day I called - can't beat that! read more

Michael came out the same day I called. He did a free inspection and did not suggest we test for mold, but rather better ventilate under the house. He recommended another company to do the work since Swift doesn't install fans. He was prompt, kind, helpful. read more

Great find on Yelp. Michael and Swift Restoration really impressed me. We'd been told by a couple of physicians to have mold testing of our home nestled in the redwoods. Michael spent the better portion of an hour inspecting our home and explaining his findings with me. Ultimately, he talked himself out of paid work (the inspection is free but the air samples cost). Instead, he earned my profound respect and a future of referrals! That kind of honesty and forthrightness is hard to come by. read more

After the recent rains, I saw a grey blotch on my white carpet against a wall on the second story. It was still damp and I feared the worst. After searching the internet, I happened upon Swift, via Yelp. I reached Michael. Although in San Jose, he came out to Danville within a couple days and methodically and thoroughly diagnosed while explaining everything. Thankfully, he found no leaks...someone in my household must have spilled a glass of water and thought nothing of it as it was under a hamper! When I got my checkbook out, Michael said, "no charge". If I or friends ever need this type of assistance again, I will most definitely use or recommend Swift! Thank you for the peace of mind Michael! read more

I'm so glad that I called Swift Restoration today. I saw a review in Swift Restoration in SF that they actually do have a location in San Jose because the names are very similar on yelp and I was confused. (Michael said yelp doesn't let them to put the same name but calling SF location would also work.) I called around 3 and Michael stopped by within 15 mins. He is really friendly and honest. He told me the spots that disclosure report suspected to be mold are actually evidence of dampness and my detached garage doesn't need their help and is in good condition. He also provided me some suggestions for preventing mold. I'm really thankful and relieved. read more

Michael came to our home and gave us some recommendations on what to do in order to pass the inspection. Did not even charge us for making the trip and not perform an inspection! After implementing his recommendation, he came back, took the samples, and we passed thanks to his suggestions! read more

With all the 5-star ratings, one might think this company is too good to be true. Lucky me, I believed the reviewers and placed a call to Michael. We've had a problem here for months and have been at a loss to find the source, let alone a solution. After sharing what we have experienced, Michael crawled under our house to examine the crawlspace. He found nothing obviously wrong, but had several suggestions. We will try some of these suggestions ourselves (Swift does not do the type of work he suggested) to see if the issue resolves. If not, Michael recommended other businesses that supply services that could be helpful. I cannot thank him enough for braving the dirty/dusty underworld to deliver us some useful information. Best of all, after spending at least 20 minutes crawling around in the loose dirt, there was NO CHARGE! Thank you, Michael! read more
