We were looking to get lead/asbestos testing done for a home renovation project, and TITAN's quote came in ~25% lower than the company that our contractor had recommended. They were super responsive & efficient: they were able to schedule someone to come by one day after I called, and we got results the next business day. I had also asked about doing more lead testing for the rest of our home out of an abundance of precaution, since we have two little kids at home. I really appreciated that Robert gave me fair & thoughtful advice vs pushing me to test as much as possible (which would be more beneficial to TITAN). Highly recommend them! read more

Really hard to get a hold of. Disconnect between the techs and the person answering the calls. The estimates were quite high compared to other businesses. There are cheaper options. read more

Stay away from this company. They secretly worked with my public adjuster behind my back and billed my insurance policy an outrageous $5,000 for an asbestos test -- all without my knowledge, authorization, or a signed contract. They even went directly to my insurance adjuster to request payment, bypassing me entirely. To make matters worse, their so-called $5,000 report is only valid for 60 days. If you don't complete the abatement work within that time, they charge you again -- even though all they do is reprint the same report with a new date. No new testing. No new work. Just another charge. When I filed a small claims case against them, they refused to accept the delivery of the court documents by not opening the door for the serving man, dodging service attempts by not answering the door. It was clear they were trying to avoid accountability. I had to find alternative ways to serve them because they simply would not cooperate. Attached is the invoice they charged against my insurance policy. I have also reported them to the California Department of Insurance and is pursuing them through small claims court. I will update this review with the outcome once the case is resolved. If you value transparency and honest business practices, please stay away from this company. Learn from my experience. If I Yelp has negative reviews ratings, I definitely will rate this company as negative! - Jason read more

TITAN Environmental Solutions - Environmental Testing Near Me - Oakland, California

When our mechanical work came to a screeching halt due to a potential asbestos scare, Titan was able to come in right away (the Wednesday before Thanksgiving!) to come take samples. Luckily our samples came back negative so our work was able to proceed. Thank you so much! read more

Tony was terrific on the phone providing clear expectations and pricing. Gabriel and Ibrahim did the testing. They were very efficient, friendly and left NO TRACE of the work they completed. There were some small spots on the ceilings where they did the work but no debris, no dust, nothing left where the work was performed. I would gladly recommend them. read more

Car was parked in a garage with an EV that caught on fire. I called this company, and their answering staff was nice and informed me that a PM would contact me for pricing. This guy, Arron or Erin Robles, called me to coordinate. I guess he's the PM. He told me $1400 for their inspector to go out, $800 for a report. 200 for smoke ash, 600 for VOC/VOCs, and maybe asbestos, and all kinds of other tests they can do. I said, "I am dealing with insurance. Is there a way for you to email me the details?" Without skipping a beat, "NO, THERE IS NO WAY. YOU WILL HAVE TO WRITE IT DOWN." I highly recommend that the management of this company get rid of PMs like this. Adding two stars to this review because their other staff member called to try to work this out, and showed an interest in better serving their client base. read more

Titan is a very efficient, reliable, and cost-effective professional team if you need environmental services. Tony and Gabriel are great professionals. I suspected asbestos in my property. It was all resolved in less than 48 hours once I called them, including a site visit by a professional for sample collection and field survey, testing, and finally a well-rounded professional report. read more

Titan pressured me into accepting asbestos tests for roofing that were both not needed and duplicative. Beh. Too high pressure.

Found this company on Yelp. Based on recommendations I contacted them through the Yelp app to test the air in our home. Received an initial response asking for my phone number which I provided. Waited several days and messaged back twice, but never received a response. Clearly they weren't interested in my business. Company response suggests they tried to reach me. That's not entirely true. I texted them several times and left a voicemail with my correct phone number. They made no effort to reach me. read more

This company is extremely expensive, 5 to 6 times higher than the market price. Run away if you see this company. They do the tests without informing or asking for the homeowner's consent, and then collect money from the homeowner's insurance company, and then the home insurance starts to rise sharply. read more

I was contacted by Richard and we talked about the process for testing asbestos in the air. We agreed on a price and a technician named Chris was dispatched for a time that worked for me. Chris was early which for me = on time. Chris set up the air testing units for 90 min and came back when they were completed. He took his shoes off when entering the house which I also appreciated. The results came back within two days. Tony followed up and told me if I had any questions to not hesitate to call them for clarification. Titan is a company which had great communication, customer service, and turn around time. I highly recommend them and would use them again. read more

Had a great experience working with Titan for a lead clearance test! They were very responsive, arrived on time, provided good service and we got the lead dust wipe results in a few hours, which was surprisingly fast, given it was President's Day. Would definitely work with them again! read more

Everyone knows that dealing with Insurance is a tough process. They also know having your house be impacted by a fire, that is not your fault, such that your entire family have to relocate is a tough and stressful process. My insurance hired Code Blue who in turn arranged for Titan to proceed with Lead and Asbestos testing. The engineers that came out was great, and courteous. However, within 2 weeks, I got a letter from titan demanding payment for services or they will send me to collections. I of course forwarded this to my insurance who was minorly delayed in their payment disbursement process. Within another 2 weeks, they sent their collection specialist after me, the insured, although I have followed up many times with my Insurance. I explained this, and they said they do not work with insurance and it was me who contracted with them, which was not true at all. My insurance (along with Code Blue, and the restoration company) arranged them to come out. I would advise against using Titan, and instead using another service provider if you are ever worried about being out of pocket first, or your credit score. Are you as a business really so worried about payment you cannot wait and work with your clients? Titan has 0 empathy for their clients and would go to extreme lengths I have never seen before to get paid as soon as possible. **Edit 4-21-2022 I spoke with Tony from the company and understood a couple things. 1) (Not Verbatim) It seems that this was a scare tactic that the accounting team uses so that people will pay on time, being 15 days. This seems unnecessary as even within the agreement you have allowed them to request payment directly from the insurance carrier. 2) When they threaten to adversely impact your credit rating, and send a "collections specialist" after you, they have not, actually sent you to collections. The so-called "collections specialist" is a title within their company to encourage timely payments. 3) They have been working with my insurance company, who has continued to be slow on payments and yet to pay the bill. Their patience in this matter and professionalism handling the matter after 60 days, somewhat offset their initial impatience and multitude of scare tactics they have used on me personally. While this review remains up, I will revise my initial 1* review to 4*, based on the service and speed Titan provided as well as the professionalism Tony showed when he reached out to me to get my feedback. The 1 star docked is due to their collections process. We are customers, but would be nice to be treated as humans, especially in an insurance loss. read more

Titan Environmental Solutions did a wonderful job from start to finish. Tony was able to answer some preliminary questions and get the ball rolling. Eric the tech performed all the sampling throughout the house and get it to the testing site. Results came back with 48 hours and we are pleased with the services and outcome. Definitely recommend them to anyone looking for Asbestos or Lead testing. read more

I had a great experience with Titan. Tony got back to me very quickly, answered all my questions and it became clear to me pretty quickly that I'd prefer to have them sample my house for asbestos rather than do it myself. They scheduled me for the next day, and our technician Kimberly was great. She was on time, courteous, knowledgeable, and managed to take all of the drywall and stucco samples from places that I'll never notice anything missing. I highly recommend Titan for your environmental testing needs. read more

These guys seriously couldn't be better. I was told by HVAC guys that I had asbestos around my ductwork and that I needed to replace everything ASAP which would have cost a fortune. I was a bit skeptical so I contacted Tony and they sent Chris over the next day. Chris was awesome - super nice guy and told me that I needed to make sure it was even tested for asbestos before doing any major work. He crawled down into my super tight crawlspace and in less then 24 hours, I got the results - no asbestos in teh ductwork. We did find asbestos in some areas but Tony gave me a call shortly after and expalined what my options were. I couldn't be happier with Chris and Tony - if I ever have any issues/questions, I'll be sure to call Titan again. read more

Had a fantastic experience with this company for asbestos and lead testing! They were on time with my report and provided great service. Definitely recommend them for anyone needing testing done! read more

I purchased a triplex in Alameda that was originally built in 1904. Because we'll be doing an extensive renovation and moving in with an infant, we thought it wise to test for health hazards that could be especially dangerous to our little one. Titan Environmental were very prompt in scheduling an appointment for an inspection of suspected asbestos containing materials (plaster walls and linoleum floors). The inspector arrived on time and was quick in taking samples. Surprisingly, the test results came back next day, and as suspected, we had some positive asbestos containing materials. I spoke with Tony over the phone to review the findings, and in light of our planned remodel and desired use, he recommended we skip further testing (which could determine if the material was less than .1%, which would dictate different handling procedures) and instead focus on the remediation aspect. Thank you for the prompt test results and recommendations on how to proceed next! read more

Great experience and rapid test results! The technician was spot on time and we had our test results next day. Would happily recommend!

They are very responsive. Felt like they are little expensive than other companies but they did deliver quality work and report on time.

Chris came over to help collect air samples for us for the test. We have a six month old and were doing a major house rewiring project as mandated by our insurance company in order to continue the policy. I was nervous of the amount of the asbestos that could be released into the air due to this work so I asked them to come over to test the air quality after the work was completed. Chris was on time, professional, courteous, and thorough. He patiently walked me through the process at the beginning, kept me on top of what he was going to do next on the time, and managed my expectations about how soon I would receive the report. Just as expected the report was delivered around the time he told me it would be available. I am very happy with my experience and now can sleep better at night knowing that we didn't inadvertently expose our baby to any harmful substances in the air. read more

Had a great experience with Titan Environmental Solutions. They did lead and asbestos testing for two of the units in a triplex. Their response was prompt: I called on Monday, they called me back to set up an appointment on Tuesday, and the testing was done on Wednesday. The technician who did the test, Eric, was friendly, efficient, and knowledgeable. The lead testing was done instantaneously on-site while the asbestos results had a quick 24-hour turnaround. read more

Tony from Titan is one of the best consults we've had work with us. He was on time, courteous, and knowledgeable when we used them to survey flooring in our 1950s home for asbestos. He answered frantic questions from a worried mother, and even promptly responded to several phone calls after the report was completed the next day. Tony also helped provide options to formulate plans to move forward when we discovered a material we tested was positive. Highly recommend. read more

We were very happy with Titan Environmental Solutions. TES did the asbestos clearance air sampling for us after our asbestos abatement company finished removing the popcorn ceiling texture and linoleum at our 3 bedroom 2 bath house. We used TES instead of the asbestos abatement company's 3rd party environmental lab because TES had better reviews and customer satisfaction. Project Manager Tony Lam was very accessible who answered all my questions expeditiously. Hygienist Maciel Gonzalez took four samples at different spots in the house with two blank control samples for quality control. We got the results within two hours of sampling and analytical completion. We highly recommend Titan Environmental for your environmental sampling and testing needs. read more

We contacted Titan Environmental to do an XRF survey to test for lead paint in our San Francisco home. Tony called us back right away, explained the testing process to us, and got us on the schedule the very next day. During the inspection, our technician Chris was super thorough and professional, and spent several hours performing a full survey of both the interior and exterior of our home. Before starting the work, Chris took the time to discuss with us to understand any particular areas of concern, and he was very communicative throughout his visit whenever we had any questions. Now we have the peace of mind of knowing which areas of our home to be cautious with, which was super important for us given that we have a small child. Thank you Titan Environmental! read more

Titan's testing gave us relief of mind and will save us the cost of an asbestos specialist during home renovations. Their whole process was professional and fast. Chris, the industrial hygienist, was courteous and organized when taking samples and looking over the area we wanted tested, and discussed additional locations we had concerns about. The lab was able to test the samples immediately, providing a detailed report within hours. Titan is now my definitive go-to for any future testing. read more

In the midst of the terrible California rainstorms, TITAN called back the same day; Tony was friendly and responsive. The site technician, Eric, came to our house the next day and took samples of our water-damaged plaster ceilings and walls to test for asbestos. Eric was prompt, efficient, and very nice. TITAN delivered a report one day later. We couldn't have asked for better service. read more

Tony was super helpful thorugh the process of setting up the onsite testing. After going through a different company who's not certified and gave me false negatives, I reached out to Titan and Tony educated me on what's actually gets tested. Chris, the certified tester onsite, was suuuppperr helpful and pleasant to work with. He took his time (while the other company did NOT) and took a lot of samples and was courteous to ask if I wanted more samples to make sure where in my house had asbestos since I'll have to reno places in my house. So I feel more comfortable about moving forward with projects around my house. thanks tony and chris! read more

My mom was planning to install recess lighting throughout our first floor. We learned that popcorn ceiling and drywall could have asbestos. We found Titan on Yelp and I spoke to the project manager Tony and he was very helpful! The technician that did the testing arrived on time and we received the survey report timely. I contacted Titan Environmental to test/inspect the asbestos removal done by another company. They were able to schedule a technician to come out without negatively impacting the timeline for my kitchen remodel. The technician was very friendly and told me some of the things that she looks for during an inspection. She spent extra time making sure that my payment went through and that the office received her report so that the asbestos removal company could remove their equipment sooner rather than later. All in all, a painless experience. read more

Titan knew we were pressed for time and they made it happen for us. Every step of the way they were fantastic. I called in a mild panic on a Thursday afternoon and they had someone out to my house that evening. The man who came was very professional, explaining everything to me and great with our kids (and dog). The report came back the next day, and Tony called to explain the report, which otherwise would've been very difficult to decipher. Prices were great, too, according to my contractor who advised to go with them. Overall a very, very pleasant experience. read more

Tony and the TITAN team are awesome. They were super helpful explaining our options, what people commonly do and why, and were able to get us in quickly for asbestos testing. Even more surprising, the results came back sooner than expected and Tony personally reached out to make sure we understood them. We will definitely reach out to them first for future needs. read more

I use Titan for all of my post clearances on mold remediation, sampling for asbestos and lead, preliminary mold inspections and refer him to my clients should they want to do testing on their own. Matt weaver is absolutely amazing and I wish I could steal him for my company. He truly cares about the service he is providing and the company he works for, always going above and beyond and the best part is even though we use them a lot they will do what is right for customers and not just pass us because we have a good rapport with them. Highly recommend this company! read more

I used TITAN Environnmental Solutions after a plumber cut into a popcorn ceiling at our rental house in Stockton. Fearing the worst, I had my tenant stay elsewhere while I called TITAN to test the ceiling and other materials for asbestos. The company called back promptly, gave me a quote, and set up a testing appointment right away. The lab report showed there was NO asbestos, and I am so grateful and relieved that we can now fix the leak and go on with our lives. We have a 9 month old crawling around and wanted to do a lead inspection. Initially we bought a bunch of the chemical strips and did some testing but that didn't work well for many rooms. I did research about XRF guns which led me to Titan. They came over and did an extremely thorough non-invasive lead check. We now have a very good understanding about which parts of our house contain lead. Thanks Titan! read more

I was referred to titan by a good buddy of mine. I had just purchased a house which had some popcorn ceilings that needed to be tested for asbestos. Titan was extremely professional and patient with me when I brought up all my questions and concerns. They showed up to their appointment promptly and showed a lot of care and respect for my house while taking samples. The lab results came back super fast and sure enough, the ceiling tested positive for asbestos. Titan also handled my post air clearance test once the asbestos was removed. I'm extremely thankful that I used titan and would highly recommend them to anyone who is looking for an asbestos consultant. read more
