Because we were especially worried about our child with asthma being exposed to mold, she even called us the next day with the preliminary results before the full written report was ready. I contacted Air Quality Testers after a $20 radon testing kit from Amazon revealed that we have high levels of radon in our basement (4.5 pCi/L). Because we were just doing this for safety and not for documentation (for example, related to a real estate transaction), they recommended that we get a $200-300 digital meter instead of springing for them to come out and test ($900). That meter showed consistently that we are at 1-2 pCi/L, which is an acceptable level. I am really impressed with this company that values integrity and honesty above profit! read more

This company was top notch from beginning to end! I was dealing with a problem that I was unsure what to do after a furnace maintenance person mistakenly revealed I had asbestos in and outside my unit. I had gotten other air test quotes that were much higher so I went with Air Quality. Grant was incredibly knowledgeable and talked me through the difference between TCM and PCM air test. He was honest in telling me that for a residential test, there is no need to do the more expensive test while other companies only quoted me the highest test. I paid extra for faster results as my heater is currently inoperable until I can confirm that there is no asbestos coming out of my unit. He called and confirmed my air was clear when he promised he would. I will be using them in the near future for some other tests in my home and highly recommend them for air quality testing and customer service/responsiveness! The price was great and the sample taking was hassle free, they took a great deal of care to take samples from inconspicuous places like behind light switch plates. We did not receive our preliminary report as expected (took a week and a follow up text, rather than the 2-3 business days communicated) and the final report was the same (took two weeks and a follow up text after the samples were taken, rather than the one week communicated). If your needs require tighter timing or more proactive communication, maybe consider alternatives but we did get the results we paid for and are happy with the price. read more

We requested service for an in-home mold test. Had them focus on 2 bedrooms. They arrived on time and were very professional, thorough and polite. We did some review of the 2 rooms, inside and out, then went outside to see what outside conditions could affect the mold. I think 2 types of tests were done including an outside sample as a baseline. I'd estimate total visit time was about 30 minutes. Results were emailed out about 2 business days later. Results were nicely organized and clear and were uploaded to Google Drive. I shared results with some remediation companies and they didn't have any questions/comments. I feel the cost was worth hiring them. I trust their results and would hire them again. read more

We had an overall good experience with Air Quality Testers. Their technician took extra time to explain our report and was very available and flexible about giving us information and recommendations. The reason for the 4 rather than 5 stars is because we found there were hidden costs. They quoted us one price, then when they arrived they said the price they had quoted didn't include other things we needed, each of which would cost an extra $50. I wish they would have been straightforward about that in the original quote. That said, we again had a positive experience with the person who came to do the testing! read more

I needed my room inspected for mold, they came and discovered that water was penetrating the wall behind my bed and the neighbor's downspout was flooding and causing mold to grow on the exterior wall into my room. They also discovered a crawl space and the mold samples came up very high for toxic mold. Now I know why I have been having symptoms and how to address the issues.
