The person who answered the phone seemed nice enough but I got the feeling they only wanted to upsell bundle packages that included testing I didn't ask for or need. I work in real estate development and have worked with a lot of consultants. She said very little about the company's testing methodology or the types of testing that could/should be done given the details of the project - it was all about the "large number of quotes" she'd have to put together, the price for the report, and the samples. Very odd considering the most competent consultants I've worked with immediately provide details of the potential work and ask a ton of questions before providing a quote. I decided to move forward with the quote anyway as I'm trying to expand business to new companies. They have good reviews so I thought I'd at least look at their proposal. I was told I'd get the proposal "soon" but never received one. Checked their portal and my request for quote was completely gone! No one bothered to at least tell me that they didn't want to do the job. Extremely unprofessional. It's unfortunate because I have other properties to test and am always looking for great consultants so it would've been great if they actually lived up to these great yelp reviews. Buyer beware! We asked Adviro to do a report &. they told us there was moisture levels in the bathroom and yet their report did not originally show this. The owner was incredibly unprofessional when we inquired about this and literally hung up on us as we were asking questions!! We asked him several times to explain why there were different results in the report versus what the tech had told us & he did not answer simply yelling "I already told you!" Never again would we use them we were shocked by their treatment of us and we question why they could not stand by their original results. We ended up not being able to use the report. Total waste of time and money. **Actually, we were not accusing you of being dishonest, just incompetent. Your tech failed to include evidence of moisture behind a wall and when Sofia said it was amended she sent us the original report without the changes (no pictures or notation indicating the moisture) which we sent to the sellers of the home. Two critical errors on your company's part. When I make a mistake in my work I own it and work with the client to rectify it. All you did was yell and say you already answered out questions (which you hadn't actually explained). Told us you'd reimburse us then hung up on me when I asked when we could get a refund. You were unbelievably rude & inappropriate. Maybe next time talk to your staff & investigate a bit further before you call the customer thinking you're in possession of the facts. ***You did NOT explain your findings and if by an "agenda" you mean we wanted clear results that helped us determine what the next steps were in order to keep our family safe than that is accurate. Isn't that what you're supposed to do??!! Your accusation that we wanted a better price on the home is COMPLETELY FALSE and outrageous. This is bordering on slander! We made an offer and it was accepted & only wanted any potential problems remediated. We heard you were not forthcoming with the seller when they called to ask questions too. So we see this as a pattern on your end. Your accusations are completely false & baseless! We simply asked you to explain your own report and you refused. And by the way you didn't "own it" as you claimed. The tech you sent was completely inexperienced which is why he left out critical info to begin with. The pictures he took of the moisture readings were NOT INCLUDED in the 1st report!! Period!! Shouldn't he include all of his findings?? I cannot rely on this report! You pretending that you had any intention of refunding me is disingenuous given you hung up on us when we asked when this could be expected. I only hope that this review will caution people & make them look into other companies. We are currently dealing with a slumlord. I had hired my own plumber which found damages in the pipes. Sumlord hired 3 vendors previously, who said no problems with pipes. Now slumlord agrees. We had sewage back up on and off for 10 months. With this news, i searched for a restoration company to see if the slumlords company had done a proper inspection. Adviro was the name I found in google with great reviews! I called them right away, and spoke to the secretary Sofia, she was very kind and took the time to explain the process and that I would need to speak to the lead inspector/ owner to see what i needed and what my expectations were. There is no words that I can express for the knowledge he gave me. The report could be clear, it could have something, but our family needed to understand our situation, we will accept the truth and this company has shown me that I can trust them. They did not try to sell me the whole package, they did not insist, they asked me what I wanted and that they are a fact based company. Exactly what I wanted. During the inspection, the inspector was very kind to my wife and took the time to answer all of her questions. He did not rush through our appointment and walked us through every bit of it. I wont name the landlords company but they spent maybe 5 minutes? Adviro spent nearly 2 1/2 hours. tests usually take much longer than 5 min. We plan to remodel our house, so we ordered a full house asbestos testing with the highest price in the Bay Area. They missed the bathrooms and didn't want to go back to collect samples in the bathrooms, because they were so sure based on their "feelings" that there are no asbestos under the bathroom floor. Just used Adviro's services to get sampling done for my father-in-law's house that we are planning to move into, and my husband and I are so glad we did this. It's so important to do so for peace-of-mind, your protection, and awareness before renovating any part of your house, and we are planning on renovating the whole place since it's an older house built in the 1940s. For the $799 we paid, it covered unlimited testing for samples in the whole house for asbestos. From other companies that I called up, they usually take 3 days or so to get you back your test results. We got our results the next day, and with a very thorough, professionally put together report just a day or two after that. Although it's not the cheapest in price for their services, you get quality service that is fast, reliable, efficient, and professional. Mia, the receptionist, is so friendly and unbelievably responsive. Every time I called she picked up the phone and was able to help me immediately. She is on top of her game. When we did find out that our bathroom and kitchen linoleum contained asbestos, I asked Mia for referrals for companies I could reach out to for asbestos removal and she immediately emailed me 4 different referrals for asbestos and 2 others for mold (even though I didn't ask for it, but it is something that we need to do later on, so very helpful). I have been suffering from allergies that have been affecting the quality of my sleep and wanted to rule out airborne allergens. Adviro came out to test the air for mold, and their technician arrived right on time and was very professional. I got the mold test results back the next day, through a detailed report which provided helpful guidance on what the results meant, and some actions I might take. I was actually supposed to get the mold test results back the same day, but due to a mixup on their end, I didn't get it until the following day. I honestly didn't think it was a big deal, as waiting another day was fine. But the owner felt as though the service didn't meet his high expectation levels, and he offered to provide the test for free. I didn't think this was necessary but I was blown away that he offered to do so.
