Sticky door mat- The team paid attention to details when preparing our house for lead decontamination.
    Pauline H.

Synergy cleaned up our yard which was contaminated with lead-based paint and construction debris. Fernando, Antonio, and Pete were all very accommodating, friendly, and professional. Antonio and his team were respectful to our house, took time to prepare the space for decontamination, and took proper precautions in preparing for cleanup. They listened and never brushed off our concerns. They carefully covered our staircase, sticky mat at the entrance, and sealed off doors and windows, their attention to detail was beyond my expectations. Besides the technical side, they also have great communication- from online schedule reminders, sending/ revising quotes, confirming job details via text... etc. Synergy gave us peace of mind and a safe home again, highly recommended!

They never inform the paint will come off with their tapes and left 50 nail gun stapler around the walls. Now we had to spend time and money to fix the holes and repaint the walls! They did good job removing but left a mess for us

Some of the ductwork that wasn't removed.

I had synergy come to my home to remove my HVAC ducting and heat registers because I was told they had asbestos. At first I was very happy with the work that was done. Until, I went under my house for myself. The crawl space had remnants of the paper that supposedly has the asbestos in it. They failed remove the return that was on the floor, it also had asbestos. This made me very upset. I had no way to properly remove or dispose of it myself. When the company came to install my new furnace they found asbestos they as well. When they gave me the price and told me that all of the asbestos would be removed and that I would receive a certificate of clearance, that's what I was counting on. That didn't happen. I ended up having to pay another company to remove the reminder of the ducting and asbestos from my home. The photos are of the items they didn't take.

More left over asbestos crumbs they forgot to take with them.

WTF. They dropped chunks of ASBESTOS and left them behind in our crawlspace when removing ductwork in our 1950's ranch home in El Cerrito. When I asked them to return to fix their mistakes they came back to clean-up and did little to nothing. After their clean up attempt I found more asbestos which I paid to have tested at T.E.M. labs in Berkeley. The hard lesson learned here is: When removing a classified carcinogenic contaminant from your home, hire the most expensive contractor to do the job, NOT THESE CLOWNS. Pay a few bucks to get your own air-test done. Pay another $40 to your own soil sample test done.

I called DiBlasi Restoration and spoke with Frank DiBlasi, the owner of his independent company. He met me at the house the next day and assessed the situation. Thankfully he was able to send his professional two-man crew the following day. The two men were efficient and clearly competent, perfect for the task at hand. The bedroom issues were easily resolved, but the bathroom is where they really succeeded. Not only was the mold wiped and removed, the surrounding tile grout was scrubbed and shiny like new. A nice touch by these guys. After a weekend of dehumidifying Frank took air samples in each affected room and sent them to an independent lab. All the tests passed with flying colors. I would recommend DiBlasi Restoration in a heartbeat. Frank has been at this for several successful decades and is righteously confident in his methods and protocols. On top of that, he's just decent business owner who is fair and square with his customers.

Called DiBlasi Restoration and he was able to visit my home and provide an assessment and a plan for remediation and restoration. If you're dealing with water damage or remediation work, you quickly realize how stressful the situation can be. Frank stood out because he was incredibly knowledgeable and transparent throughout the process. I was so overwhelmed due to the extent of the damage but he took the time to explain what was happening, what needed to be done, and why. He may not be the cheapest option out there (although still reasonable priced!), but you get what you pay for. The level of professionalism, honesty, and expertise he brings is worth it. What I appreciated most is that it genuinely felt like he approached the job as if it were his own home. He was focused on actually fixing the problem the right way, not just doing the minimum or up charging you for unnecessary work. If you're dealing with water damage or remediation issues, I highly recommend at least giving Frank a call and getting a quote. Even just talking with him will give you a much better understanding of what you're dealing with.

We were concerned about it, worried about any longterm effects it may create to our home and our health, and so decided to look for a company to remove the white substance build up, treat the the whole area, and apply protective barrier to prevent the moisture. After getting an estimate from another company, we decided to go with Bordi Restoration. The work included: scraping the top soil, spray a disinfectant onto the soil, used a HEPA air scrubber, and then fitted a crawlspace moisture barrier. They just completed the work today. The work was estimated for three days, but they finished in two days instead. Everything was done nicely, with the moisture barrier fitted neatly, really clean install. The workers were friendly and respectful of our property. Communication with Craig (owner) was easy, as he responded quickly to our text messages, explained things very well, his responses being detailed, but also easy to understand. It was also easy to communicate with Donovan, the staff member who handled the scheduling and billing, as he was very easy to work with, and very helpful. The value was very good, as the estimated cost was cheaper than the other company, and the work they did came out very nicely. Working with this company was easy and smooth, and we would recommend them for sure. Thank you Bordi Restoration for the great work on our home, and also for the awesome service! We got a quote which was very competitive and reasonable and moved forward to setting a date for the crew to clean and do a deeper assessment. We had accidentally forgotten that we agreed for the work to start on a Thurs instead of Friday, and the office called right away to clarify and sent the team out very quickly after we sent them away. The cleaning crew themselves were great! Shu, the forewoman, was on top of it, communicated the problem and solution in a very straightforward and simple manner. Was very thorough with pictures, instructions, and her assessment. Craig identified that we may need a moisture barrier in the crawlspace to really help decrease the amount of moisture impacting the walls during the rainy season. Another quote for the closet and bathroom clean-up was sent to us, which had not changed in terms of pricing. We knew that the 2nd project would require a new quote later. After 3 days of drying, we contacted Craig to coordinate time for pick up of the equipment. We also received the finalized invoice- the cost ended up being nearly 2x the original quote, which caught us off-guard. Craig explained that the labor hours had to increased from an estimated of 4 hrs to 12 hrs and covered for travel (though we only live about 2.5 mi away from his listed office) and equipment loading time, which surprised us as it was never mentioned or called out. There was already a $100 service/trip charge, so for additional hrs counted for travel felt unreasonable. The crew was on-site for 5 hours max. He did give us a discount which was appreciated, but we felt that the quotes and pricing model were not transparent. This really disappointed us, especially given the quality of service and how easy it was to work with Craig initially. We had a 2nd project to encapsulate the crawlspace which we went with another company whose pricing ended up exactly as estimated, despite taking a 1.5 days more than anticipated.

After my insurance company caused complications that led to First Call terminating the job which I understood, I received an invoice in May of last year. I paid that balance in full with two separate checks within two weeks. I have the receipts, the copies of the checks, and the bank statements showing exactly when First Call cashed them. After a full year of zero communication, I woke up today to a voicemail and email threatening to send me to collections within 48 hours. They claimed they had been "trying to reach me" for 12 months, which is untrue. I checked my call logs and my email history; there was absolutely nothing. When I called and provided my proof of payment and the exact dates they cashed my checks, they admitted the "error" was simply because someone forgot to check a box in their system. It is incredibly stressful and offensive to have your credit threatened because a company can't be bothered to check their own bank deposits before sending out threats. As a veteran, I live by a standard of integrity and doing your due diligence. Relying on a "checked box" as the Bible instead of doing actual research is lazy and unprofessional. Do better, not just for your customers, but for the reputation of the guys out there doing the actual work.
