If I could give these guys 100 stars, I would in a heartbeat. After being quoted almost $15,000 for a repair at Downtown LA Motors on my 2011Mercedes GLK 350, I called these guys for an estimate after seeing their Yelp reviews. On the first phone call he said exactly what I had said when I first brought it to the Mercedes dealer -- "I find it really hard to believe that all of those things just happened to break at the exact same time". I had gone in for my brake light being on and I thought I just needed the oil changed, then they literally said that every part of breaking mechanism was faulty and that "I was lucky to be alive" -- a bit dramatic, but ok. The car was originally from New York so I understood some rust and corrosion was possible from the salt - but not to the point of everything needing to be replaced after I had just brought it in for a service the previous year and everything checked out fine. I had bought the car for $18,000 and to pay $15,00 in repairs would have been ridiculous. After my first call with Ray, I had the car towed to him and he got back to me within a few hours with a full breakdown and quote. He was laughing saying that all he needed to do was replace the brake lines (rust had created a hole so oil was leaking) and then everything would be working fine! Ended up having him replace the brake pads and rotors as well because if I wanted to give anyone my business, it would be him. Total invoice with 25 hours of labor came out to just over $3,000, I was in shock. I was on vacation at the time he said it was ready, so I asked him to go ahead and do an oil change as well and he gave it to me on the house and said he'd keep driving my car around before I returned to make sure that everything was working properly. As a female college student, to be taken care of so well and not completely ripped off is refreshing. Ray not only cares about the work he is doing but he is honest and genuinely cares about making his customers happy and satisfied and in this case going the extra mile to make sure everything was perfect. SO thankful for Ray and his team and lucky to have found such a great Mercedes certified mechanic in the area. read more

I'd stopped in once before with a burnt-out signal light on my '06 E350 and they popped in a new bulb free of charge; very cool. Months later, the center brake light (on the trunk lid) went out. I arranged to come in on a Saturday afternoon, as this could be more involved. There were no other cars in their bays. The assistant checked it out, found that it was a broken wire ("typical problem in these") running up between the left rear quarter panel and the inside of the trunk compartment. He spent maybe 20 minutes fixing it, and charged me $225.00. Not only that, but the guy lost the bezel that goes on that side of the trunk where the hinge goes through - way to go, bozo. I was hoping to have these guys repair the intake manifold on my car (also a common issue on this model) in the near future; but, after that gouge, no thanks. read more

I chose Rays based on the excellent reviews. I had the 50k service on my GLS which included oil and filter, spark plugs, coolant service, transmission service and brake flush. The price was reasonable and when there was a slight complication, Ray took the car back and made things right. Honesty and integrity...an oxymoron for the typical auto repair business. I took in my wife's E63 for an oil leak, and within 1 minute from being on the lift, Ray said there is no leak. He very well could've fixed the imaginary leak. I did however, need to replace the rotors and brake pads...which I knew a year ago. After being ripped off by dtla motors, I researched my options. I had no idea that I didn't have to take my car in to the dealer for service! I was once told that if I use a non certified repair shop, the warranty would be void. So that's a lie. Ray's mbz does everything here that the dealer would do. They use all genuine parts. Ray is awesome. I was in an accident last November. After repairs at the body shop, there was still a loud knocking, shaking and rumbling coming from the engine of my car. I took my car back to the body shop and they could not find any problem. I then took it to the Rusnak Mercedes service department and they could not find it either. Desperate, I actually had to record the knocking and rumbling and play it back for them to help identify the problem. I returned my car and they ended up changing the motor mounts but that did not fix the problem. Again I took it back to the body shop and they could not find the problem even thought they admitted that something was wrong. Finally, I took my car to Ray. He checked it out and was able to immediately isolate the problem - a busted transmission mount. How is it that Rusnak's service department had my car so long and could not figure this out? Anyway, Ray took care of it right away and for a great price. All the knocking, shaking and rumbling is gone and I could not be happier. We have since had two of our cars serviced at Ray's MBZ and won't take them anywhere else. read more

My 2009 Mercedes E350 4Matic needed service, brakes, and rear rotors done. Like others I'm very skeptical of shady mechanics and was very hesitant to take to dealer because I would not be able to take financial hit that they would get me with. So what did I do??? Opened up my handy dandy Yelp app on my iPhone and after a few minutes of speed reading and research calling 2 other shops I was on my way to Rays. Just as advertised this guys shop is on point! I seen several Mercedes Tech certificates which let's me the consumer know that this guy knows what he is doing when it comes to getting work done on my European vehicle. Ray gave me a hassle free quote and I did not feel I was getting haggled by the used car sales man type. I knew the ball park figuere all the work was gonna run me and let me tell you that I felt I was getting a deal. After agreeing to begin work I asked for a ride and not only was I shocked by what happened next but to me it speaks volumes about going above and beyond to make sure a customer leaves satisfied- Ray offered to get me a rental for the day. That was pretty cool and something that you only come to expect from the dealer. I politely declined and explained that I owned a second vehicle at home I could drive. Ray then had his shop assistant Javier give me a ride home. Work was completed on time when promised and Ray even had my car washed at car wash next door. So not only is my car driving smooth but it also looks good (Atleast for the next day or 2!) To summarize I appreciate his customer service and love that was showed to my car. Look no further, this place is great. I had a check engine light bothering me, and the dealer wanted to charge me $200 just to tell what was going on. Ray took a look at my car with out charging me, and recommend everything I needed. After buying all the parts he did a excellent job for a fraction of what other places were charging, and had my car back to me within a few hours. To summarize my experience, the quality of Ray's services is impeccable! I'm usually the type of person who is skeptical of mechanics because I've had a few bad experiences, but not with Ray. He was professional, courteous, and didn't make me feel like I was asking stupid questions. His service is prompt, price was competitive, and even comes with a free car wash. He's not pushy either to sell services. Just the right amount. In fact, he told me to hold off some services but told me that I should get my tires replaced (even though he doesn't sell tires) after a regular maintenance service because he noticed that the treading was low. Sure enough, a month later, my tires gave out. Ray also replaced my low beam lights at no extra charge. I'll be sure to bring my car back to him in the future! read more

First time at this shop, the best service I received from an auto repair shop in years. I brought my 2007 GL 450 with a leaky suspension air bag and for an oil service, he gave me all the options for parts and prices, original or after market, approved repairs and in half a day problem solved, at a much reasonable rates.
