As a Chevy owner, my battery was bolted under a protective case & with no appropriate tools, it would have taken me hours to disassemble--even with the help of chatgpt. Tony helped me replace my battery swiftly! Literally disassembled in mins & ensured my battery was positioned correctly before putting the casing back. He was also a great conversationalist and you can tell he truly cares about customer service. This is my go to auto parts and auto help. These people I can trust! I needed a oil cap as I could see mine was falling apart. Jose ran a scan and told me they did not have the cap but the Alhambra store did. He said that there is oil all over the place so it is best to replace that cap ASAP. I was too lazy to go to Alhambra store but took my car to Firestone the next day and they told me I needed engine work and blah blah = $2,000 + instead of just the oil cap. I declined their offer, took my car to my regular mechanic next day and they confirmed exactly what Jose told me at O'Reilly - just an oil cap and paid $200 and was on my way. Thanks Jose! I came here to buy a set of tools. I wasn't acknowledged by anyone when I entered. I wasn't acknowledged when I was looking for the tools I found online. When I found the tools and approached the counter area, I wasn't acknowledged while waiting. When the other associate finished with the other customer, he then picked up the phone. It didn't appear like he was speaking to someone placed on hold. Otherwise he'd say "thanks for holding...". After seeing that, I placed the tools back in the aisle and walked out. This place is in severe need of a self-check out kiosk. I found a similar set on Amazon for $6 less. Why do I bother walking into a brick and mortar store for tools anymore? read more

George was absolutely fantastic. I, like a dingus, came in on a rainy day with a windshield wiper situation. Again, as a dingus, I had no idea what I was looking for. George helped me try three different windshield wipers for the driver's side of my car before the third one fit. I had buildup on my car battery thinking it was leaking. I brought my car for a battery inspection, and Jose explained to me that it was actually lime and calcium. I do next to zero maintenance on my own cars, and everyone at the store was very responsive to questions I had and gave useful descriptive answers. Its not always the super smiley type service, but that really wasnt a big deal. If anything it felt more more like talking to a normal person. Its also interesting seeing the Customers that come in. There seem to be a lot of regulars that are very familiar with the store and Staff. My expectation is that I will be visiting regularly as I try to do more of my own car maintenance. read more

I've driven by this O'Reilly's Auto Parts on Colorado many many times. I happened to be in the area and my car was low on windshield wiper fluid so I would decided to stop in and filled that up for my car. It ended up being I had a leak in the tank but that's a different story for another time. So this was my first time in the store. I've been to other locations and I know that the fluid comes in those big bottles so just naturally looking around I immediately saw that they had the bottles of this fluid right by the main entrance and so it was really quick and easy to find what I was looking for. There are a lot of other guests in line but it was mostly that they had more pressing issues and needed more time to solve them. The guests were taking a while so I could tell that the workers were being very patient and being able to accommodate all of them and answering all the different questions that they had. Another worker probably noticed that a small line started building up and so they opened up another register and I was soon on my way out of there. read more

I had a very stressful Uber ride with my wiper blade, crapped out on the freeway, and then my lights went out. I found O'Reilly's here in Pasadena and they were a godsend. Billy was my angel. He literally not only installed my wipers, but he help me install my new lights that are super bright. I couldn't be more thankful and I couldn't be more impressed with the customer service. Agree with all the 5 star reviews. It seems like this store has the right type of people with the right attitude to help people with their auto problems. I'm heard outstanding remarks about a guy named William here who gives his all to help you solve your auto problems. Last night, a guy who's shirt says Ricardo was super kind and helpful with my car battery issue. There's a lot going on in people's lives and my mother is dealing with cancer. The kindness, care and treatment Ricardo displayed really made the mundane auto repair chores smooth and without unnecessary distraction. Ricardo is an example all O'Reily staff should learn from an emulate for outstanding customer service. These kinds of people make O'Reilly feel like a community auto store rather than a chain store disconnected from the people in the neighborhood. Bravo Ricardo bravo!!! read more

My headlight went out yesterday and I called AutoZone to see if they had the bulb and could put it in. Lincoln Heights said they had the part but might not be able to put it in. I called Highland Park and the woman who answered was a MONSTER. She was mean and not helpful at all. UGH. Finally, called O'Reilly because although I have only been in less than 10 times, I remember getting excellent service. Googled and called and asked the same questions, do you have the part, and can you install it? The young man who answered told me yes, we have the part, and he would try to put it in for me! Went right over and in less than 10 min I paid for the part and Nathan installed it for me and even checked to make sure it was nice and bright with no problems. I am a senior and Nathan honestly was so kind and generous with him good customer service and efficient service. He deserves a BONUS and a promotion! I will NEVER ever go back to AutoZone in my life. Nathan just made me a lifetime customer of O'Reilly Auto Parts. And - the price for the part was excellent! I don't need auto help too often... it usually boils down to typical windshield wiper replacement and that's why I found myself here again. The guys here are always helpful and never judging (since it's clear I don't know too much about cars). Usually I'm happy to change out my wipers myself, but I had just hurt my back so I asked for help this time. Noel was super helpful from the start. He was in friendly conversation with another customer and group of employees, but when I stepped into "line" (next up), he quickly acknowledged and helped me. I asked him to double check the blades I picked out and he was able to confirm I did that part correctly (self high five). He also checked on some blades for my other car, but they didn't have them in stock. He offered to reserve them elsewhere but I declined. Afterward I asked for his help in replacing my blades and he had me out of there in less than 5 minutes and did all the clean up as well. Noel is the man!
