I went to this place to get a hot dog and a raspado, and what should've been a simple transaction turned into a nightmare. After I received my food, I realized I hadn't gotten my card back, so I politely asked the staff about it. The girl who attended to me said she wasn't sure when she gave me my card but was pretty sure she had. I asked her to look for it, but she didn't seem to care, doing only a brief search before brushing me off. When I asked to speak to a supervisor, she called someone named Ernie (not sure if he's the supervisor or owner). Here's where things took a turn. While on the phone with him, she suddenly changed her story and told him that she was sure she had given me my card, despite having just told me moments earlier that she wasn't sure. Hearing this, I asked her, "Why are you lying?" because she had clearly contradicted herself. Ernie overheard this and immediately went into attack mode. When I got on the phone with him, he started accusing me of disrespecting his staff without even listening to my side of the story. Instead of addressing the situation calmly, Ernie escalated it. He yelled at me to move my car, and when I refused until my card was found, he became even more aggressive. He went as far as calling me out to get out of my car and fight him! He also took pictures of my car and told me that he was going to "catch me later." This is the face of Cuchi's Raspados--someone who resorts to fist fights over a situation that could have easily been handled professionally. But I guess Ernie doesn't know what professionalism is--he only knows how to escalate with threats and aggression. And if they claim I'm lying, unfortunately for them, I have the video to prove it. My car is equipped with surveillance, and everything was caught on camera. I won't post it unless I'm pushed to do so, but I have it ready. I'm sure there are some die-hard fans of this place who will jump to defend it. I understand that maybe they didn't go through this themselves, but I doubt they would be defending Cuchi's Raspados if they had experienced what I did. This whole situation could've been easily resolved if the staff and management had acted professionally. Instead, I was met with lies, threats, and hostility. If you value good customer service, avoid this place at all costs. Management here behaves more like street thugs than business professionals. read more

They make the best raspados aka shave ice very authentic to Mexico the flavor is so natural and on fire with the spice you can taste it. The cheese hot Cheetos were so delicious it definitely made my day. The staff is so efficient and they have your order ready at the window. shaved ice made with natural fruit and condensed milk I had the playero which had mango, pineapple, and strawberry topped off with condensed milk (lechera ) everything was made to order the fruits were sweet. the drink itself was crushed ice and the juice from the fruit made it better. best raspado I have tried. we also tried the mangata and it was good with the chamoy and chili powder the Mexican candy that is on top was good texture on top of the drink. highly recommend:) read more

Their chamoy rim dip is delicious, their chile fruit flavors are mouth watering, the fruit topping is always juicy & fresh & the rollito topping is just the cherry on top. This location I believe is drive thru only & it's located on the corner of a more busy street in town, but it's absolutely scrumptious. On a day like today (93+) Raspados are exactly what I needed. We tried The Playeras (mango, strawberry) & The Crucero (strawberries, walnut and pineapple) - both made fresh and tasty. The sweetness of the Raspados went perfectly with the fresh fruit. I can't wait to come back and try all of the yummies! read more

It's ok. Their main menu is ideal for the summer time but they do have other selections for food and dessert. I had the Tropical raspado con frutas and it's ok. I've had better ones. I think it would've been better if the ice weren't too chunky. Their ice shaver is not really an ice shaver, they're more like a bag of ice that you slam to the ground to be able to use it. My friend spoke highly of this place but I'm not too impressed by it. Pricing is ok, same as everyone else but again, it was difficult to eat due to the chunks of ice made it hard to eat. read more

Visiting from out of town, family recommended we try this place and they were not wrong!! The menu is massive, there are so many things that we love here that we normally can't get in the Bay Area, all with a closer to the border twist. I am giving this place 2 stars because the customer service is horrible. I went yesterday and the lady turned the stereo extremely loud as soon as we walked in. We were the only ones in the building and she refused to help us until we knew exactly what we wanted. When I was giving her my order she wouldn't make eye contact and kept rolling her eyes while looking down and the order pad. I repeated my order twice and she still got it wrong. I really wanted to just walk out but I had already paid for my order and decided to put up with the rude employee. The raspados are good but not so good to put up with rude people. Hey guys anyone that comes to this place just rethink it I literally went to get raspados and hot Cheeto locos and I ordered 12 raspados and 3 hot Cheeto locos and when I got to the window the two gentlemen that were making my drinks didn't get my order right I had ordered 2 bananas , 2 Oasis, 2 chiles and 1 pina and 5 strawberry raspados and 3 hot cheetos just to be clear and he didn't put the two bananas so I had to correct it and then while I saw him making it he spilled my Chile raspado all over and on his hands and he started picking up the candy pieces he dropped and licking his hands without cleaning his hands and putting the candies back into my drink. And fucked up the banana drink he put all ice and no juice inside nothing. At all and proceeded to give me the drinks and then when my mom spoke up and told him we saw what he did he pretended to be shocked as to why we asked him to remake our drinks and then the manager gets out and asked what happened and he didn't even tell him " oh I licked my hands and proceeded to make the drink and touch stuff" and all he said was I spilt it and when my mom told the manager he didn't even listen so then we get home and give everyone their drinks and the banana one was empty nothing but ice and the pina one was just plane ice and no pineapple taste and the Chile one had just ice and tasted like faucet water and all of the strawberry ones had a similar taste to a faucet water. I called the place 8x trying to get a hold of anyone and it's like they're ignoring me and not answering purposely this is so unprofessional and I will be contacting health inspectors because it just makes me think if we didn't see the gentleman lick his hands and he would've given us the drinks and it's covid around??????!?!?!? no thanks read more

I always had a great experience at this cuchis. Last night my entire perspective changed. I went for a hotdog combo. It came with a hotdog, fries, and a tea. I also ordered some cachuates locos w/out cueritos & two more sweet teas. So in total three sweet teas. I ordered and the girl at the window took my order and as she was giving me my order, she was either very forgetful or she wasn't paying attention to anything. First she had put cueritos in my cacahuates locos. Next she had given me my hotdog and only two teas. I had told her I had ordered three teas and she looked at me like I didn't. She gave it to me then looked at me like "do you need anything else?" I asked her for my fries and she again acted like she didn't know what I was talking about. Once she gave me COLD fries that she just had laying there( I saw through the window) and poured SO much cheese that it was dripping on my pants. She just stared at me and didn't offer me napkins or anything. Another thing she didn't give me any straws nor spoons for my stuff. I asked for them and told her she didn't give it to me and she proceeded with "I swear I gave them to you? Are you sure I didn't?" While looking in my car. Customer service is really bad sometimes. They lines for the drive thru are extremely slow and it is not worth the wait. I have gone many times and had many bad experiences so I am finally writing this review. I will never go back their again. I've tried calling them at 760-353-3240 several times, at different times of the day, different days, to place an order for a fruit bowl (loco). THEY DON'T ANSWER THEIR PHONE!
