Saw this place and decided to give it a try after seeing the good Google reviews, and I'm glad I did. I tried the mango and lemon raspado and it was really refreshing and full of flavor. The prices were surprisingly affordable too, which was a nice bonus. They have a large variety of options to choose from, so there's definitely something for everyone. The service was good and the overall experience was enjoyable. If you're in the area, I definitely recommend stopping by and trying it out. read more

Been coming here since I was kid! It's still the local go to spot for a properly made raspado in just about every form you can think of. The ice is perfectly shaved, flavors taste real not artificial, and the portions have gotten bigger which is pretty solid. Service is always quick and friendly and the big drive-thru gives that classic old school vibe. One of those spots that never misses. If you grew up around here you know. If you didn't, this is the place to start. read more

Long long lines but worth the wait. Fruits are fresh and the ingredients are good. Incredible amount to choose from. The menu is chock full of delicious options. You can also explore by mixing your favorite ingredients taking a step away from the preselected menu. read more

I ordered the Doritos with nachos cheese and shrimp/clam Clamato drink. This flavor-packed duo is an explosion of bold, unexpected deliciousness. The Doritos with melted cheese and jalapeños are the ultimate spicy, crunchy snack -- rich, fiery, and totally addictive. But the real surprise is the shrimp and clam cucumber drink, which somehow manages to be savory, refreshing, and wildly satisfying all at once. The coolness of the cucumber perfectly balances the briny seafood kick, making each sip feel like a beachy, gourmet adventure. Together, this combo is weird in the best way -- and absolutely unforgettable. Highly recommende! read more

Good prices and nice to sit outside in the fresh air. Ordering system is a little confusing (would be nice if they had separate windows for ordering and picking up). Ice cream is a good price. Nice and convenient. read more

The service was pretty good but once I got my food it was not what I expected. The Fresas con crema, was just ice cream all melted, I also order the raspado tasted so watery and nasty like nesquick, when the worker was handing it to me he added some lechería and over poured with a smirk, This is my fault I should have ready some reviews before I came. other than that the outdoor seating was really nice. read more

Raspados Ruben's - Strawberry Raspado Strawberry Raspado Strawberry with Milk Raspado Fruit Salad - Ice Cream & Frozen Yogurt Near Me - El Centro, California

A must-go when I'm in the area! My order of a no-que-no raspado and extra hot Cheetos with cheese is always toe curling deliciousness

Love their breakfast burritos. Only downside is the drive thru takes FOREVER. Seriously like 45 minutes is average waiting time even if it's just 2-3 cars ahead of you. So order in advance for pickup. read more

We always make a stop at Rubens when we come to visit family in the valley. Whole family loves their items and we'll continue to make this our #1 snack spot! read more

Came out here with a friend and decided to stop by this place on the way back home to SD. So glad we did. The ciruela (plum) raspados was delicious and refreshing. It had additional plums at the bottom of the cup so that was a nice surprise. We asked if they could add chile to the rim and they did. Balanced the sweetness with a little kick. I recommend you get a L/XL on a hot summer day. The staff was also helpful and friendly. If I am ever in town, I will definitely stop by again. read more

The drive thru wait is terrible. Had to wait nearly an hour and they hadn't even taken my order. By the time I got to the window it wasn't even worth it anymore. Worst service I've ever had. Don't bother coming here read more

I threw my raspado out. The flavor was nasty. And instead of the fruit being in the liquid like a raspado should be, they just add a few slices of the fruit on top of it and send you on your way read more

This was our go to place for breakfast. The drive thru line is incredibly slow so we usually call in an order but, they run their walk up window the same way they do the drive thru, someone orders and stands there until the order is filled and handed to the customer. The food quality has been so so and the wait time has certainly left a sour taste in our mouth before we even eat. Unfortunately, 2 months ago when I went there, there were fraudulent charges on my card and the only place I had used my card was at Ruben's. Luckily I was contacted by my bank and it was taken care of immediately. Yesterday, I went to Ruben's and this am at 0500, I received a call from my bank regarding fraudulent charges on my card again. No longer a coincidence. Has anyone had this same issue? I am very careful with the charges that are made on my account and have text alerts on all my cards. 2 stars is for the food. read more

Although the food and raspados are good, the amount of time it takes them to do anything is ridiculous. Expect to be there at least 30 minutes waiting for your stuff. I have gone when it has been myself and another car and it has taken 40 minutes, from the time I ordered to the time I left. Unacceptable. Will no longer be coming here. read more

It's a really sad experience they have the worst ugly looking raspado de vainilla their menu is just to outdated with no pictures don't. Go here if you expect nothing but sugar and probably something over done read more

I absolutely love their variety. I always come to order their burritos. I had the Mega Clamato the other day for the first time, it was Amazing! Very refreshing and filled with shrimp. I also love their nachos, the raspados are the best. Go get your fix, you won't be disappointed. read more

My biggest gripe with places to eat in the Valley is the amount of food you get for your money. Not an issue here. Ordered the mega Clamato and that bad boy was packed with shrimp; courtesy of TAVIN, the employee working on this particular afternoon. All killer and no filler at this establishment. Best Raspado location in El Centro. Went back today and got two fat breakfast burritos and a free tea. ALFONSO was on point with taking my order and getting my food fast. read more

Best place to get cacahuates con chile y limon. Only takes them 30 minutes (not an exaggeration). Rude as hell too.

I love this place when visiting EC, raspados, chips with cheese, nachos and machaca tacos are delicious! I love that they have a drive thru.

I love their tea's every time I go to El Centro to visit my daughter is a must to stop at Raspados Ruben's. They have good clamatos as well.

The papas Lokas made me sick ! But the raspados are good is just the cueritos if you are not use to it don't even try them

Well this place is usually a 5 star. Customer service is usually great. However, during this pandemic I Know we all take our own risks eating out and what not. We think and expect employees are being extra careful that was not the case here. What I saw yesterday was ridiculously disgusting and no regards for anyones safety. Everyone in there had their nose uncovered. Some were even taking breathing breaks without their masks. The worst was a girl with blue hair that was preparing someone's order, take her mask off, stick her finger in her mouth and continue to prepare the food she was preparing!!! I could not believe what I was seeing definitely not going there again. read more

Horrible experience. I ordered 2 tostitos locos. They hardly put any chamoy so I had to ask for more because it was dry then on the other I asked for them to put shrimp in which they only put 5 shrimps..really? Only 5! I will not be returning to ths establishment. They are so stingy for the prices they charge. read more

My first review, but I had to on this one. The raspados was horrible, sickeningly sweet, like drinking a melted jolly rancher. Maybe some people like it that way, but I prefer mine made with real fruit. Don't know if there are better options in El Centro, but there definitely are in San Diego. read more
