Arrived into the area on a Tuesday afternoon. My friends are members here and we made it our first stop. The view is amazing! The staff is kind, friendly and knowledgeable. They close at 5 PM and we called ahead and they had a cheeseboard ready for us and a table with a great view outside. They did not make us feel rushed at all. They took time to explain each wine. Great last minute visit. My daughter was in the mood for a wine tasting and we happened upon Raptor Ridge while out hiking. Although the tastings open today sign was still out at the entrance, they were apparently done with them for the day. However they were happy to arrange for my husband and daughter and she was so glad. She sampled the whites, and decided that they were among her favorites in the area. My husband sampled reds, and he enjoyed them as well. The very pleasant employee who ran the tastings was extremely informative...all of us enjoyed her description of each wine and knowledge of the individual processes involved. Steven was helpful. Wine was okay but nothing wow'd me. I think they could invest more in their charcuterie board. Be careful if you sit outside - bees and wasps are attracted to the meat. For a higher rating, wine needed to be better. read more

Wow not sure how this place is a 3.8? The view is outstanding and the people are very knowledgeable especially Brooke she was exceptional. She did a wonderful job she listened to what we liked and catered our tastes to that. First class been there a few times now and my wife had to join because of the wine and the people. This place is a fantastic stop on a wine country tour. The outdoor deck offers vast views of the ridge. Plenty of hawks (even a bald eagle) flying overhead so it definitely lives up to its name. Our server was really nice and organized. We got a charcuterie board which was delicious but hoped for more food offerings than what they had. The wines were tasty and it was neat to learn about their backgrounds. The pours were a bit light handed but all in all a lovely winery experience. read more

Very disappointing experience. Stopped by on a quiet Thursday afternoon to buy a bottle of wine to take home. Not greeted at all, had to ask if I could taste a Chardonnay, got a taste....no warmth, conversation or anything. I would have bought more but felt like I was an inconvenience. We got shut out of a neighboring winery because we foolishly didn't check first to see if dogs were welcome. We sat in the parking lot and checked out what was nearby. Raptor Ridge ... Raptor Ridge... sounds familiar .... Yep, this was the very first winery I visited more than 5 years ago when I moved to Portland! I remember how I felt then: that it was an incredible respite so close to the city. A place with a comfortable patio, a stunning view, and outstanding wines. It is still all that. We enjoyed a tasting of a couple whites and several reds, along with a taste of what I am calling, "not your mother's Blue Nun". Gewerztraminer. Say that 3 times fast. You can't. It was a trip down memory lane. My mom and I used to share a bottle while we played scrabble. There was a sale on magnums, which was a very good deal. A local at the next table bought two and said, "Don't just go the party, bring the party with you!" He was great and I enjoyed his ramblings. We went home with a bottle of the reserve pinot and a tempranillo. We're saving the pinot, but the tempranillo has already been consumed. Special shout out to Chelsea, Caleb, and Sage who took care of us out on the patio. Kept the wine coming and shared lots of interesting stories about the grapes and vineyards. It was a great way to spend an hour and a half, my dog got some attention and enjoyed sniffing the breeze coming in off the vineyard, and you can bet we'll be back with out of town visitors. read more

What a wonderful experience with Stephen and Brooke, who put together a 1st class event in celebration of my son's wedding; event was on Aug 15, 2024. The entire team was great, our event was meticulously planned and executed - Stephen was great to work with in planning wine, table location & other event logistics. Both Stephen and Brooke provided excellent on site service to our approx. 45 guests, who came from NY, FL, MD, CT, and KY. I can't thank them enough for how well they treated my family - from excellent wine selection, engaging conversation, taking photos, perfect room set up, etc. They provided a catering suggestion and worked seamlessly with Crave Catering; I can't thank everyone enough & was extremely happy with all aspects of our event. read more

We came here to wine taste and right away our server was rude. She was hostile and didn't make our visit welcome at all. We were really excited to wine taste here but our server put a bad taste in our mouth with how she spoke to us and made us feel. We had visited other amazing wineries that day and highly recommend Stoller and Argyle over this winery due to service. read more

Brooke was our server and was incredibly knowledgeable about each wine in our tasting. She gave us local knowledge and general wine knowledge and was very lovely every time she stopped by our table. Beautiful views of the valley and the mountains, and Brooke pointed out each of the Cascade volcanoes you could see from the winery! Highly recommend this winery! read more

When you drive up it looks like a tiny little mom n pop type place, but so friendly and beautiful views. Here is a picture that we captured from the parking lot overlooking some California poppies and Mount Hood. Since they are a little out-of-the-way versus most of the Dundee and other area wineries with only Ruby nearby, they are very nice about giving advice on where else to go on your tour as well. This was our first stop in touring wineries in Willamette Valley. We chose Raptor Ridge because the view online seemed spectacular (which it totally turned out to be in person!), and the price for the tasting flight was very reasonable. Our waitress/hostess/wine tasting specialist (apologies for not knowing the correct term for what she would be), was fantastic. She was generous with wine and with wine knowledge and gave us some great recommendations. We ordered wine and had it shipped to us which was fun to give friends back home souvenirs. The wine admittedly was not the best wine we had that day, but still good, and it was so great to come here for the ambiance, the really great service, and the great recommendations to make the most of the rest of our day. Pros: View is gorgeous! Non-alcoholic options. Cons: I brought family from the East Coast because of the lovely time I had at the winery with my husband on our anniversary a couple of weeks prior. However today was a different story... there was not a soul inside the tasting room and they refused to push tables together to accommodate our larger group. Service was okay. Pours were small. They were upset if we went to another table to chat because we were not seated together. If you want a better experience that CAN be welcoming to a larger party... GO TO BENZA!!!! read more

Very beautiful and quaint winery. I really like how the winery's tasting room is laid out. There are two big garage door, which they opened due to COVID, and there is lots of tables on the balcony. There are also a lot of table inside the tasting room too. They took all the precaution to keep everyone safe, making sure each parties stick to the same bathroom...ect. I had a group of friends to go wine tasting with me for my birthday, and they started us out with a complementary glass of the sparkling brut rose which I thought was the best of all the ones we had tasted. Bright, great wine. Plus they have varietals many other vineyards do not. The service was perfect--they had the next taste ready to go and never left us without water. You can order glasses or bottles to drink on-site if tastings aren't your thing. The membership sounded pretty cool because you can attend a tasting event and help decide what wines get blended for their Flight Club bottling. Plus, amazing views from the tasting room. We went here the other day for a birthday party. I ordered a wine tasting and they never came up to fill the glasses. I had to go up every single time. They didn't tell us anything about the wine. Not kid friendly. They place patrons w kids in the hot garden tables (no breeze and umbrellas don't provide sufficient shade). Deck was fully shaded (20 degrees cooler) and more than half empty and walk-ins were being seated there. Waitress also tried to seat a young couple w/infant baby on a table in full sun (no shade), the couple ended up leaving. While staff is nice, they are young (no clue that placing a baby in hot sun is bad for the child). I did see from other reviews that staff allow dogs on the deck (go figure). Wine is good. read more

Iliana was super nice ! Im super sorry if spelled her name wrong. We enjoyed a great tiny winery and an amazing view we enjoyed a tasting & great conversation. The wine was well worth the price and we enjoyed great conversation with the girl who worked there. There was gender free bathrooms and about 5 or 6 tables of seating. The view was about 10-12 miles of trees in the distance and the sun was perfect for a Sunday afternoon wine stop. We will stop in again. We felt so welcomed and appreciated. Not sure about the tip option on the payment but we definitely loved the wine. read more

I have grown to enjoy this winery and have visited it several times in the last year. They do a very nice job with their pinot gris. I came first for their Gruner Veltliner. I bought several bottles; nice minerality and acid. My last trip out was to get some Tempranillo for a tasting I was hosting. It is a good example of a great wine. They have a nice tasting room with a magnificent view. The staff has always been friendly. They produce great wines. I suspect more visits are in store. read more

This is a winery with a view. I think my favorite wine I tried was their rose because it wasn't too sweet but it was bubbly. The best part of this place is their wall of smells! The only problem was that I was more interested in smelling the wall of smells than in listening to their story, so a double edged sword. I thought the wine was only okay but worth a visit just to see the different smells that a sommelier might smell in a wine. read more

Now this is the place to grab a bottle, sit back on the outdoor deck and take in the great wine and great views. We had stopped at a few other places before, but this is the place I'd come back to again and again. And this is the only place I bought a bottle I felt was worthy enough to pay 45.00 bucks for to take home! I dropped in for a tasting on Saturday of Memorial Day weekend. I have had Raptor Ridge wine several times, but had never made it in to taste. The property is gorgeous and there are a few tables that encourage you to enjoy your tastings on the back patio. My standout favorites were the recently released Rosé I & the Grüner, we took home two bottles of each. M liked the Meridith Mitchell Pinot (we recently noticed it on the El Gaucho wine list) & Tempranillo the best. Margaret is lovely, and made mention that they plan to sell wine by the glass soon. They also have a summer lunch series that looked like a good time. The location is outside of winery row, located in between Beaverton and Newberg, so it would make a good first stop if you are coming from Beaverton or Hillsboro to taste in the valley. read more

I stopped here on a whim, just say it passing by and decided to try some wine. The views were amazing and the tasting room was cozy. I enjoyed the wine flight-although I thought it was a bit pricey at $15. But the Willamette valley is becoming the new Napa! I was the only one in the tasting room and usually I enjoy talking to the wine tasting associate, but she was too busy on the computer and only looked up to pour my next taste. I probably won't be back here. The wines were decent, but I've had better and I've enjoyed myself more at other wineries. read more

I came here because I had a glass of their wine in Hawaii and I loved it, and I'm so glad I came and paid a visit to this winery . The Pinot noirs are some of the best and have more of a bold taste to them, the staff was so genuinely friendly and the view was gorgeous . Very unreliable and borderline dishonest. We had a group reservation for 10 reserved well in advanced for an important event. We showed up 15 minutes late (after calling to notify them) and they would not seat us. They had our credit card on file and charged us $200. We sent multiple emails requesting a refund and they never responded to us. We frequent the wine country often with friends and will not be returning or recommending this winery to others. read more

I loved the view here, and I really did like their wines! (To be fair, this was my 3rd stop of the day, but they stood out and shone through) I ended up buying two bottles, I bought the 2014 Pinot Gris, that wasn't overly saccharin. And, I bought the 2011 Pinot Noir that had a slight hint of juicyness. The wines were great, I will definitely go back to taste their again. Despite, the staff not being as impressive. Near the end of the visit I got up to go purchase some bottles, and close out the tasting fees for my friends, and I was up by the bar and I get a condescending, "Oh you look confused, right now......" from the staff. ANd, I don't think that is the best way of approaching a customer. But, that brief encounter didn't sway my opinion of the wines, I still purchased the bottles that I was planning on. And, overall the tasting experience was great, they had bread and cheese and small snacks, and the tasting room is a fun place to be at. read more
