Derek is back in Oregon as the new winemaker for Dobbes Family Estate, but don't fret, Justina will continue to operate out of the Tasting Room in Gaston.

Update: Shelby, as I shared in our phone call at no time was I told there was a 6-8 year window to consume these wines. 6 @ $50-60 I view as theft when a winery doesn't attempt to make things right. I have an additional 6-8 of this vintage and I will update this post.

The other reviews are not kidding when they praise the view! The space is absolutely gorgeous-- the tasting room feels luxurious and comfortable, and tables are not too close together. But wow, the view takes the cake. You overlook the vineyards, and even though it was cold and cloudy we were blown away. What really impressed me, though, was the service. Our sommelier, Adam, was incredibly personable and a joy to talk to. Further, he was incredibly knowledgeable about all aspects of the wine-- not just the tasting notes and region. He knew a ton about the history of the land/winemaking in this specific part of Oregon and the ecological preservation efforts of winemakers in the area. He produced photos and diagrams of different soil types and explained how they impact the taste of the wine when we did side-by-sides. When I mentioned I had a chemistry background and expressed interest in the chemistry of the winemaking process, he was able to speak in detail about their wines and the ways they are made (probably because he's actually worked in the cellars, too, not just in customer service). As I have mentioned in other reviews, I don't always feel like I get a great customer service experience at wineries because my partner and I are pretty young and because I often have on alternative makeup. We were given A+ treatment here, and I want to thank Adam for making the experience feel special. The wine was good. We got a bonus pour of one of their sparkling wines to start, which was lovely and a nice romantic touch since we were celebrating. I liked their Chardonnay (concrete egg and VERY light oak which is probably why-- I don't like a heavy, buttery Chard) and was surprised it was so good-- it was a seven-year-old white which is unusual, but it really worked. We got side-by-side pours of the pinots, which was great-- I love when wineries do this! It makes it so much easier to taste the different notes. We ended up getting a bottle of their Riesling. The tasting was $25, which is an absolute steal for the level of service we got. Truly a wonderful time, and we look forward to returning.

If you're lucky enough to go when Joe is working - he is the best and always makes my wine tasting experience so fun! I highly recommend trying every variation of their wines. We became members here just on a random visit but if you know Joe or once you've met Joe, who generally is the one working both locations... Well, how could you not want to join! And most important of all, the wine is delicious! Every bottle is named after a airplane or member or event, etc. part of any and all military positions. So it makes a very unique! Both locations are very beautiful and all I can say is you actually need to visit both! This winery is military based, and although we are not military, we love what this place is founded on and what they support. The forest Grove location is a cute little hole in the wall winery and I believe you can sit outside as well. It is in the heart of downtown Forest Grove so everything is in walking distance! The old Highway 47 location is perched up on a hill just down the road from Henry Haag Lake and if you look closely, you can see, Helens and one other mountain. You sit back relax look over the vineyards and if you're lucky there might be somebody playing some live music. They also have seating options for inside the highway location, which has AC and heat depending on the weather. You should definitely try out dauntless wine! You won't regret it.

BINGO at a beautiful vineyard with delicious food, tasty wines, delightful other guests and a…read morewonderful Drag Queen is how Sundays should be spent. The parking lot is much kinder than many other vineyards. I did not really see specific ADA spots which were likely full but the parking lot is small and easy to navigate with a short stroll to the tasting room. We got there later than I wanted but we were not the last and were able to tuck in seats in the back which is perfect. I was a bit surprised that they didn't have water at the tables for everyone and the menu was very small with two different paninis - a caprese and an Italian meat one.... we got one of each and then split them.Which was pretty perfect and both were really good! Their regular menu is much different and I look forward to trying it when I visit for a regular wine tasting. We started with a glass of the Rose Bubbles. It was perfect for a late summer afternoon. We drank a bottle of the Moscato Frizzante, a definite favorite. We are both hummingbirds, is in love with sweet wines. Sometimes the sweet almost assaulting on the palate. I was completely amazed at how smooth, soft yet supple that wine is! We asked to try their blends with sangiovese which they have 2. I was attending with my friends mom. My friend passed away recently and was married here so she wanted to get bottles of her favorite wines. There were 2 people working and he just set the tasting wines down (which were tiny samples in tiny wine carafes), mumbled what they were without pointing which was which and practically ran. Since we were actually drinking wine, our glasses were full so we had to drink from the carafe, which felt a bit tacky plus they are reds we were trying to actually taste... I realize drag Bingo is also happening but a tasting glass to give some aeration to the two wines is helpful. It was such a wonderful way to spend the afternoon. The few annoyances we had, I imagine were likely from them having to navigate a larger group. It is so nice having a place like this so close! I also have to express that the inclusive events make me more anxious to support them with my business.

This is one vineyard that's a short drive, and not very difficult to get to for being located in Cornelius. No long and windy roads is what I'm implying. An easy vineyard you can show out-of-town guest what Oregon wines are all about. I feel this would be a quick treat for them. Even after work, just to relax with a glass and charcuterie board, we've been here! ~ The Views (or a view) ~ If you've seen the yelp pics on the views, then that's exactly all you'll get. You can chill inside for a tasting or out on the patio while enjoying an excellent view of the vineyard. On a clear sunny day, you can see Mt Hood in the background. Down below the patio, at vineyard-level, there are a few wooden beach chairs and picnic tables as well. It's relaxing wherever you choose really, to say the least. ~ Reds, Whites, and You ~ If you're looking for a white chard that's not too sweet, then this is your place! Their wines are simple enough to enjoy. I don't recall having a bad pour. But like practically every vineyard in Oregon, they too serve pinot noirs. I personally have more of an earthy pallet, so I do not have a taste for pinot gris or rieslings, but theirs I did admire. You'll have to try them for yourself. Again, I believe all their variations can satisfy anyone's pallet. ~ Owners, Staff, and Service ~ At one of the member events, we did get the opportunity to meet the owners, and their pup. All of them really down-to-earth people in my opinion. But I would like to give credit to Mach and Melissa as well. These two hustle! Not for you to just purchase their wines and join the club, but they're attentive on what you'd be interested in. Thank your Mach and Melissa for your generous and friendly hospitality. We've had questions, they've had answers. This little winery just gives you everything you'd expect from a winery. Case and point!
