Get the goat cheese and jam .... And wine go course :) The sparkling wines in particular are worth the drive up a windy country road. They allow dogs on their covered heated patio as well!

We had a wonderful afternoon here. A large variety of wine, with a surprisingly delightful flight of Sparkling wines. Beautiful setting, with both indoor and outdoor options. Excellent service. The Brie with roasted onion and fig jam was delicious. We will definitely visit again. Thanks for being a part of Harvest Hosts.

Very cute little winery and gift shop. We started of with a brut, méthode champenoise that was nice. The other whites for me fell quite flat and her pours were rather miserly. It is really hard to form an opinion with such a small taste. Lucky for me my girlfriend gave me hers ;) The reds were not that impressive either, still too young tasting. And hmmm...we didn't get to keep our glasses like another review says that they got to keep theirs. The "Big Red" was the best of the bunch but at $30.00 a bottle, take your money to Trader Joes and spend $5.00 and get something better.

I came here for the sparkling and was not disappointed. The Sparkling Pinot Gris is stunning especially for the price. Out of all the wines we tried, I would say that it was the most memorable and if I could just drop my other sparkling club...than this wine alone is a reason for me to sign up! As far as the property, its beautiful! We visited several wineries on Tuesday and this was the most memorable. The lush greenery is surrounding the tasting room but stretches as far as the eyes can see too. I love tasting rooms where you see valley view but being at Kramer feels like your tucked away in the mountains. Summer will be phenomenal here. I also need to comment on Kramer's Big Red...bold, succulent blackberries, and unique. In a valley of Pinot, I was smitten to try this wine. Kramer...I'll return. 5 stars if you can open all the bubbles...I know the Brut is for members only but that could be the key to a new member.

During our days in the Willamette Valley we HAD to visit Kramer Vineyards as our cousins/sisters trip had one thing in common - the last name (or mom's maiden name) of Kramer! We needed to find out more about our possible relatives. After arriving to a warm welcome from Becky and some cold bubbly, we chatted about our Kramer relatives from Germany and any crossover (none that we knew of). Becky was the best host we could ask for. The Kramer wines? Fantastic! I think we would've stayed all day if we could. We tried sparkling, whites, reds - you name it. They are known for their sparkling and their reds and they are wonderful. I bought a bottle of each (I would've bought more but was limited by airplane space). Becky took us out to see the vineyards and introduced us to her dad, who was working in the winemaking area. During the time we were there, two people came in who were members to pick up their allotments. The feeling of the customers and winery was homey, mellow and so friendly. I wish I lived nearby, as I would be a member too. We reluctantly left (with lots of Kramer gear) and said goodbye to Becky. I heartily recommend this place. One note of advice... there are two ways to arrive. One is a long, winding route over gravel roads. The other is more direct. Our Google maps took us the long way. Check out a map first. It's worth it though, no matter how you get there.

Kramer Vineyards is a small family run winery just outside the heart of downtown Gaston. The Kramer family is very friendly and eager to introduce you to their history. The winery which was founded in the early 1980's is easily recognized by their beloved wine dog depicted on the label. They've even named a few of their lots after the two daughters whom help run the winery. Kramer produces many types of wine but is most known for their Pinot Noir, Pinot Gris and Muller Thurgau production. Although not a sparkling fan I enjoyed their Brut which was a 50/50 blend of Chardonnay and Pinot Noir. Surprisingly the Pinot's character came through stronger than the Chardonnay offering strawberry and sour cherry fruits while finishing crisp with a light zest. They have chosen to make their Muller an off-dry style, yet it retains a floral nose with a slight sweetness from its residual sugar before the finish. As for the reds, in my opinion their Estate Pinots were thin, overly oaked, and have too subtle fruit variations verses tannin structure. Ultimately this washed out the flavor leaving a flabby finish with more to be desired. Pricing ranges from $20 - $38 for wines that I feel are less approachable and overall inflated when compared to other offerings in the valley. They also released a Walla Walla Valley sourced Barbera and have a ruby style Pinot Port. The Barbera was big with substantial flavor but to me had a slight metallic aftertaste. While the port was lighter than I like it still had a nice complex fruit profile without all the alcohol but again overpriced. Still I recommend you visit Kramer and decide for yourself, because regardless you'll be welcomed to enjoy the views and taste a broad spectrum of wines.

The other reviews are not kidding when they praise the view! The space is absolutely gorgeous-- the tasting room feels luxurious and comfortable, and tables are not too close together. But wow, the view takes the cake. You overlook the vineyards, and even though it was cold and cloudy we were blown away. What really impressed me, though, was the service. Our sommelier, Adam, was incredibly personable and a joy to talk to. Further, he was incredibly knowledgeable about all aspects of the wine-- not just the tasting notes and region. He knew a ton about the history of the land/winemaking in this specific part of Oregon and the ecological preservation efforts of winemakers in the area. He produced photos and diagrams of different soil types and explained how they impact the taste of the wine when we did side-by-sides. When I mentioned I had a chemistry background and expressed interest in the chemistry of the winemaking process, he was able to speak in detail about their wines and the ways they are made (probably because he's actually worked in the cellars, too, not just in customer service). As I have mentioned in other reviews, I don't always feel like I get a great customer service experience at wineries because my partner and I are pretty young and because I often have on alternative makeup. We were given A+ treatment here, and I want to thank Adam for making the experience feel special. The wine was good. We got a bonus pour of one of their sparkling wines to start, which was lovely and a nice romantic touch since we were celebrating. I liked their Chardonnay (concrete egg and VERY light oak which is probably why-- I don't like a heavy, buttery Chard) and was surprised it was so good-- it was a seven-year-old white which is unusual, but it really worked. We got side-by-side pours of the pinots, which was great-- I love when wineries do this! It makes it so much easier to taste the different notes. We ended up getting a bottle of their Riesling. The tasting was $25, which is an absolute steal for the level of service we got. Truly a wonderful time, and we look forward to returning.

The parking lot is much kinder than many other vineyards. I did not really see specific ADA spots which were likely full but the parking lot is small and easy to navigate with a short stroll to the tasting room. We got there later than I wanted but we were not the last and were able to tuck in seats in the back which is perfect. I was a bit surprised that they didn't have water at the tables for everyone and the menu was very small with two different paninis - a caprese and an Italian meat one.... we got one of each and then split them.Which was pretty perfect and both were really good! Their regular menu is much different and I look forward to trying it when I visit for a regular wine tasting. We started with a glass of the Rose Bubbles. It was perfect for a late summer afternoon. We drank a bottle of the Moscato Frizzante, a definite favorite. We are both hummingbirds, is in love with sweet wines. Sometimes the sweet almost assaulting on the palate. I was completely amazed at how smooth, soft yet supple that wine is! We asked to try their blends with sangiovese which they have 2. I was attending with my friends mom. My friend passed away recently and was married here so she wanted to get bottles of her favorite wines. There were 2 people working and he just set the tasting wines down (which were tiny samples in tiny wine carafes), mumbled what they were without pointing which was which and practically ran. Since we were actually drinking wine, our glasses were full so we had to drink from the carafe, which felt a bit tacky plus they are reds we were trying to actually taste... I realize drag Bingo is also happening but a tasting glass to give some aeration to the two wines is helpful. It was such a wonderful way to spend the afternoon. The few annoyances we had, I imagine were likely from them having to navigate a larger group. It is so nice having a place like this so close!
