What a fantastic experience that Michelle our wine aficionado provided. We enjoyed the wines along with the education and the delicious charcuterie board. The cherry on the top of the sundae was the dessert Syrah and chocolate tasting to end the experience on a high note. It was so luxurious I had to take a bottle of the special port style dessert wine home to enjoy on special occasions. We can't wait to return and have another experience like today. Stopped in today to see - did I have a membership? I know I used a card that's tied to an old email - so really truly unsure. Figured it would be a no or a pickup. Instead; when I wanted to try a wine to see if it was worth drinking, I got the third degree. I dared to ask for a wine on the wall behind the counter - apparently those aren't wines that they have but a display of old ones. LOL: So I ascertained from the experience that I won't likely want to come back so I requested cancellation. No hard feelings - nothing bad - just not my deals Then was asked why - well, I'm from California wine country and I don't want to continue to he a member at a winery with wine I don't enjoy and a vibe I don't like. Kudos to the other worker who got the hint and helped me to checkout. This place is lovely and clearly has a strong following so much love to local businesses like this. I just would have loved a little kindness (reminder this was an issue with one of the workers and not the other - she was a delight!!)

While some members of our group were doing the wine tasting, the rest of us were not allowed to order wine and had to wait until the tasting was finished. It didn't make sense that we couldn't simply enjoy a glass of wine while waiting. It was quite cold outside, so we asked if we could move indoors. We were told that the indoor tables were reserved, and instead we were offered blankets. Although we appreciated the gesture, it wasn't a comfortable solution given the weather. We had booked the 2:00 p.m. reservation (the online booking only offered 2:00 p.m. and 3:30 p.m. time slots), but by 3:00 p.m. our tasting had to be wrapped up. If reservations are limited to one hour, that should be made much clearer during the booking process. To make matters worse, the wine we were most looking forward to tasting was never served. It was only after we asked about it that we were told it had sold out. This is something that should have been communicated before the tasting began, not after we noticed it was missing. We came a long way hoping to share a special winery experience with my parents, but poor communication and the way the experience was managed made the visit far less enjoyable than we had expected. I hope the winery improves its communication and reservation process so future guests have a better experience.

But the server never went thru the wines and explain the origin or the history of the wines. This was a negative as the winery we previously visited had an informative narrative as part of the presentation. Located in the heart of downtown Hillsboro, just 1 block away from the max station, Resolu is serving up fantastic wines and I am ecstatic about this opening. The owners (Scott and Kathy) and the staff (Debbie) are absolutely fantastic. You cannot go wrong with a visit here and they do plenty of events in Hillsboro, like the Tuesday Night Market. Do yourself a favor and come here on a Friday or Saturday night for wine - your tastebuds will be thanking you! My current favorite is their sparkling rose but their bold reds will not disappoint with either.
