A truly wonderful getaway from the every day. A tasting event with thought and purpose. Multiple stations set up and spread out. No crowds forming here. Staff all very knowledgeable and good at telling the story of the wine. A disappearing breed of the family owned vineyard. Its charm and feel ooze with comfort and tranquility in a spot above the highway. Great staff include but not limited to Marcus, Robyn and Jay recognize members by name and make it even more cozy. On this day they had a chucuterue board well stocked and rotated through the day. A selection of desserts and Portland wine. Really a more welcoming spot would be hard to find. Oh and it was Coopers birthday. The dog of the vineyard. Wines are tasty and small batch. Mostly to their loyal members. Great Pinot which are aged and ready. 2014 and 2013 are my current favorites. The 2022 is aging well. They make a white Pprt which is to die for. Our group calls it orange creamsicle port. So good. Lovely couple keeping Oregon at the front of wineries. read more

Where Oregon wine meets Japanese calm - Torii More is pure zen in a glass. Our last visit to Torii Mor was over three years ago, and so when a chance to visit once again when we were in the area we jumped. This was our last stop on our Sunday trip and the wine and sunset did not disappoint. Nicholas expertly guided us through our flight providing us with the story of the wine, and even treated us to a few pours of port. We had an excellent visit to this winery today. Jay and Robin took good care of us. My favorite was the light port that they serve. This is one, beautiful place. They have an excellent selection of wine, and the host. Explain everything to you. Will be delighted to come back again. Road getting there is a bit rough, but absolutely worth the drive, especially if coming over the hill with absolutely beautiful views of the valley. Beautiful scenery, hospital staff, and great wine. We paid $20.00 for a sampler, and they are doing reservations only during COVID-19. Highly recommend visiting here if you feel like you need a breather. They definitely took safety precautions: not serving food atm, staff masked up, guests required to mask up except for at tables, hand sanitizer. The viognier was very good! read more

We arrived early, before Torii Mor's weekday hours. After finding parking, we walked the grounds surrounding the tasting room - and fell in love with the scenery. When we made our way back to the tasting room, we met the owner, Don, and a winemaking friend of his from Albany. It was a lovely moment to learn more about this beautiful place, and the history. Once we made it to the tasting room, we loved the personal service and extensive list of wines available to taste. Though, I can imagine that it might get busy and dissimilar to our experience on weekends. We ended up buying a few bottles, and were excited to have received some awesome recommendations for the next vineyard to visit. Thanks so much for an incredible morning! Off the beaten path. Overall, my friend and I had a decent experience at Torii Mor. Pinot Noir is a favorite and so we were looking forward to a tasting at this winery. NOTES: --Tasting fee = $10. --Tasting room is quite cozy. Asian themed with a Japanese Garden next door. --Service was good. The staff was polite and very knowledgeable. --It's quite a trek to get to this winery. After turning off the main highway/road, visitors will have to travel on a unpaved road. I would suggest a truck or suv is more suited if planning a visit. I wish I had done more thorough research about the location as the road being unpaved was unexpected. --I loved the Port! BOTTOM LINE: A decent wine tasting experience. read more

My friend and I went to 10 different wineries during our trip to Oregon, and this is the only one where we didn't make any purchases. The wines are fine, but nothing stood out, especially compared to other wineries in Dundee. Our server was sweet and fun, but she was all by herself and struggling when we arrived. Because of that, the timing of the tasting seemed really off. Others were paced much better. The grounds are beautiful, but there's pretty views all over Willamette Valley. read more

I enjoyed this small vineyard. Their tasting room is a bit small so when their is more than one group and the weather is wet (welcome to Oregon seriously) it gets a bit overcrowded and loud. The staff are very knowledgeable and extremely friendly. Some vineyards give you that rushed feel but even with the cramped space I was relaxed. They also have a pretty amazing Port. Their tasting and wines are a bit spendier than the nearby vineyards but for quality I think they are worth it. I highly recommend at least giving them a taste. I will echo the sentiments about their lot though which is a poorly maintained dirt and gravel road. They also have a pretty small parking lot that is a bit scary to navigate. read more

We went there with friends from Florida. It was a lot of bees, so it wasn't relaxing at all. Because of the bees we moved to the garden where the hostess seated us. Tables and chairs were all wet, she said she will clean it but it didn't happen. We were the only people at the place. When we were sitting at the wet tables, the sprinklers started all of the sudden. We got wet plus our wines and the snacks. I told them, and the only answer was I'm sorry. Things I appreciated: they were able to make a reservation for us same-day, and they had hand sanitizer on all the tables. Things I did not appreciate: an obsessive review of how much time we had left at our table Every. Single. Time. the waiter came over. I understand the need for structure during this time, which I respect and support. I also know there are ways to handle a time limit with grace and aplomb, which this winery does not have. We did not feel comfortable or welcome, and were eager to leave. As we were leaving, we saw none other than the owner, Dr. O himself, talking to group of six or seven people WITHOUT A MASK. I used to love this place. They have beautiful grounds, a stunning Chardonnay, and my wife asked me to marry her here. It's important to me. But we aren't going back anymore. read more

What a charming little winery. This one is a fun one. We did a tasting and the staff was very engaging and knowledgable about the wines. My boyfriend and I liked it so much he joined the wine club. We left with our wine club package on the spot. We had planned ahead for this trip and packed a lunch which we ate outside at the tables in the yard. This place is a fun stop and great views. Patricia Green, one of my favorite winemakers in Oregon, acheived fame at Torii Morr so we had to make the pilgrimage...even though she has gone on to do other things. Torii Morr is, of course, still fantastic in it's own right and I really fell in love with one of their Pinot Blanc's while we were there. They have a small tasting room with a serene Japanese theme that seems a little out of place given the surroundings but is, at the same time, very warm and inviting. They were crowded, but there were still several comfortable chairs to relax and contemplate your tasting. The staff also remained pleasant (with a great sense of humor) despite how busy they were. Definitely worth the rainy drive over a few potholes to get there. read more

An ok choice for wine tasting in Willamette Valley, not at the top of my list, but worth a visit if you are already in the area. I dropped in with 3 others for a tasting a bit before closing on a Friday. The young man helping uses new to the tasting room, but still very pleasant. They were light on the white pours. The Pinots were good. The view is really nice, but there was an unfriendly dog tied up out back. I would not recommend Torii Mor for groups larger than four. read more

The drive to enjoy the carefully crafted Japanese garden and interesting wine selection requires going off the beaten path, but for the adventurous wine types, the trip will be worth it. Torii Mor is undoubtedly my favorite vineyard I've visited since living in Oregon. The tasting room is small and intimate, and the staff is always knowledgeable. I love the views from the deck at the vineyard and I LOVE being a member and attending the wine pick up parties. I've never had a bad wine from Torii Mor. Every. Single. Wine. I have tasted is amazing. Has been amazing. I couldn't say enough good about this vineyard. I don't like the HUGE commercial vineyards, I would prefer to have a small vineyard with staff that knows about the different varietals, the AVA, the local soils, etc. the vineyard is super friendly to families, as we usually have our two under 5 with us. They play in the garden and visit the cats of the vineyard, the Torii and Sigmund, the owner's golden retriever. Just go. It's well worth the trip. I highly recommend it in the summer when the views are breathtaking! read more

We have visited there tasting room in Woodinville Wa with our door and were welcomed, as we were a few years ago in the Dundee winery. So we were surprised Sat. November 3 about 3pm when we stopped by the Dundee winery an a young man asked us to leave with our dog. We will not be buying there wine any longer, and we recommend if you have a dog to stay away. There are many great wineries in this area that do allow dogs in the tasting rooms and have better trained . 12/8/18 Thanks for the reply to you and Kaitlin, we will return now that we know the other member of our family (pup) is welcome. Really lovely day wine tasting at Torii Mor. I've been going to the Willamette Valley for years and oddly never had been to Torii Mor until yesterday. I'm not sure what took me so long! They have a beautiful space that's a mix between vineyard and Japanese garden. Jack, the staff taking care of us, was welcoming, knowledgeable and made our stop so fun. And the wines - 5 in the flight for only $20 per person - were all great and well priced if you decided to purchase any to take home. I look forward to returning! read more

Torii Mor is amazing! Not only do the wines taste great, but there is a beautiful Japanese themed garden as well as a deck with a beautiful view of the valley where you can enjoy your wine. The gentleman who served us for our wine tasting really knew what he was talking about with each wine and helped to make the experience even more enjoyable. There was one group who sat out on the deck and their connoisseur actually brought each of their five wine tastings out to them. As for the pricing, there was one flight for $15 and a reserve flight for $25, both of which are waived with the purchase of 3 bottles or $100/$120. And trust me, it is easy to want to buy at least 3 bottles! One of the best things about Torii Mor wines is that they are not found in major stores, so you know you are getting something special by visiting their winery. We had a wonderful time at this winery. We brought our own lunch and sat on the deck sipping wine. We tasted several different wines from the barrels. Their pinot noir is fantastic! We bought tee shirts, wine openers, and wine, of course, from the gift shop. Everyone was very nice, including the wine dog (Sigmund/Siggy I think). It is a lovely, quiet, relaxing place. read more

We've had the black label and thought the wine was pretty good so, we added Torii Mor Winery to our list of wineries to visit during out trip up to Portland. We were surprised after we read several Yelp reviews of folks who did not like their wine. I really liked it and thought it was a tasty easy to drink wine with good structure and flavors. The winery is GORGEOUS. The tasting room is serene and zen with a very relaxed Asian feel, which is a lovely surprise. The patio is even more beautiful. We sat down with our wine glasses and relaxed as we enjoyed a view of Mt. Hood in the distance. The wine tasting was nice - we started with whites, then the pinot, then finished up with a port. The only port we tasted all day. I usually don't like ports but I was surprised how good it was on its own. I will definintely come back and will recommend this beautiful winery to everyone. read more

Very disappointing with the service that we got. The servers seem like they had a chip on their shoulder's however the scenery was quite beautiful. The wines were not good for the prices they were charging. Would not recommend going out of your way to visit this winery. I would only go there if you could get wine for free. So my list of reasons I will never visit this winery again could ramble, but I'll try to keep it short: 1) To get there you have to take your car on this ridiculously long, unpaved and dusty road that will shake loose fillings and guarantee that you at least wash your wind shield once you're done 2) They charge $10 for the wine tasting and there's no well you get that back if you buy something 3) The wine was truly mediocre at best. Their reds lacked any real body and their whites were pretty unmemorable (note their vioginer was the one diamond in the rough - but they actually buy those grapes from Cali) So to summarize. Mediocre wine, sort of expensive tasting, and a butt rattling ride across a dusty road means go some where else and save the car washing and tasting fee for something that's worth it. read more

The drive is long, but there are other wineries nearby, and the view out back is a great way to end your day. The tasting is pricier than most in the area, but in my opinion, this is some really amazing wine. I wish I could afford to buy more, but they are a bit on the spendy side (they do have lower priced bottles available in Whole Foods, etc but their tasting is strictly the good stuff). SWEET PLACE. We found it on the way back from Lange, and it had a really cool, Japanese feel and architecture. Kind of felt like being in a Japanese standing bar. The hostess was great, very friendly - even though she had a lot of customers when we were there. BEST PART was the view from their AWESOME PATIO in the back with view of Mt. Hood- heavenly..... Anyone can go- but I guess most people don't know it's there. They don't advertise it. Nice grounds as well. I wasn't too keen on their wines- aside from the PORTE. YUM. I heard they have a great membership plan that gets you free tastings for you and anyone in your group?? (regularly $10 each), and 50% off your purchase during your visit. I know, now I'm crossing over from 007 to Yakuza references. Next I'm going to be telling you about how I thought I saw some Bonzai trees (I think I really did, properly pruned). I also thought I saw old feudal screen partitions. There are no tatamis, that I remember. Floors are beautiful cypress wood, or at least wood that looks like cypress. This does feel like 1967 Japanese housing. The architecture is quite ingenious. What's not so ingenious is the wine beyond the "Deux Verres." Full disclosure: I'm a member, so I am either really biased... or you could say I can give you a more informed description (as I have been here more times than I can count). I love the wine, the tasting room, the staff, the incredible view over the vineyards and towards Mt. Hood. Many have complained that the tasting fee is high, but I would say it's on par with other wineries in the Dundee Hills. The staff here are what really make the experience every time. Tina in particular is super friendly, but many of the folks that work here greet us with a smile and know who we are when we walk in the door. That's the kind of recognition you just can't get at some of the bigger wineries in the area, and it's what keeps me coming back. The wine is outstanding! The Deux Verres is the kind of wine you can drink every day, and with any meal. It is very smooth and always a big hit with friends and family. Their other pinots are worth the price tag, many of which are from single vineyards. The port gets plenty of love it seems, as it should. Most ports are syrupy and hard to choke down, there's is intense and sweet (in a good way). Being a member here is so worth it. The tasting fee is waived for up to four people, and there are many events throughout the year (some are even in the owner's home next to the tasting room) with more wines to try than you can shake a stick at. read more

Took a detour to Torii Mor while in the area and I'm glad that we did. It was a bright wintery Friday so we had the small tasting area to ourselves. Tasting fee is $10 and gets you around 5 pours, refundable with a purchase of 6 bottles. So if you're in a group of 4 as we were, you'd have to buy 2 CASES of wine to get your fees refunded. Not much incentive there. You might as well just join the club then cancel later. We tasted the Pinot Gris, Chardonnay, a couple Pinot Noirs, and the Port. I enjoyed them all.
