Really loved the Chardonnay the most! Which was really surprising. We enjoyed hearing all the details about each wine. The vineyard itself is gorgeous. Staff were very friendly.

We loved this place. It felt magical, with gorgeous views and an excellent sommelier. The wine was good, and for a wine tasting, you'll get five different kinds of wine, each accompanied by a very interesting and detailed story. The service was outstanding, with staff going above and beyond to ensure a memorable experience.

Loved this place! Angela was great and wine tasting experience was spectacular. We went in dead of winter but inside was very cozy with the fire. Will be back in the spring/summer!

What a beautiful vineyard with so many gorgeous wines! We had a wonderful tasting here last Saturday on their covered patio (which was nice and cool even though temperatures were in the 90's). Our server was charming and gave us a lot of interesting history behind the wines we were tasting - I took two bottles home, so delicious! Highly recommended, I will definitely be back!

We had a great day at this winery yesterday. We had Kourtnie as our hostess and she was great. The property was beautiful and the wines didn't disappoint. We joined the wine club and would highly recommend visiting. They offer flexibility in what wines you take through the wine club. Be sure and visit and you won't be disappointed. The wine maker was friendly and make great wines.

From the beautiful, winding drive through the hillside to the lush landscaping of the ground and vineyard, paying a visit to Colene Clemens will not disappoint. Highly recommend for a scenic treat and slice of Oregon's delicious and award winning Pinot noirs. Colene Clemens down to earth wine experts and enjoyable atmosphere is the perfect spot for anyone looking for a wine tasting adventure. I recommend purchasing a bottle from the tasting to reduce the tasting fee. Surprise a loved one with a great bottle of wine or save it for a time you want to reminisce about your visit to this spectacular winery.

Beautiful views and friendly staff. I recommend coming in the warmer months because when it's cold their only indoor seating is in the production facility.

A group of us did a tasting today, and we loved everything about this place! The wines, the venue, the tasting experience, etc. Cale (sp?) lead our tasting and was so personable and clearly loves what she does. We visited 3 other wineries afterward, but none of them came close to our experience at Colene Clemens. I can't say how they are on a busy day, but I thoroughly enjoyed our tasting today, and I know we'll enjoy the bottles we purchased in the future!

We literally needed to expand our view, so we made an online appointment to have a tasting at Colene Clemens. First, the setting is absolutely gorgeous, which always makes tasting wine even more pleasant. They did all the Covid19 precautions, so it felt pretty safe. The wines were already poured before we got to our table, and our server stood back and told us all about the vineyard and the wines. There were four on the menu, and all were really good. The Chardonnay that we tasted was really different than others I've had. It had a little bit of butter and oak, but not too much, and it was very pleasant. It felt like a perfect blend of a good buttery chardonnay with a good steel-fermented one. We also loved the pinots and rosé, and ended up going home with an assortment of everything. The best part is that this get-away is less than an hour from the city!

Wine, people, view - all wonderful at Colene Clemens. It's well worth the drive to the valley! I have been to Colene Clemens a few times now and have always enjoyed the great service. I enjoy their wine and brought more home than I intended the past few trips. Oops. ;) I just joined their wine club because I consistently have been enjoying their pinots and rosés. I highly recommend this place to friends and have brought any wine drinking family and friends to the tasting room that I can so they can also experience the wonderful space and wines. Colene Clemens is so welcoming and comfortable. When you walk in it immediately feels inviting. There are comfy chairs and a fireplace. It was a roaring fire going when I visited in fall because it was a bit chilly and rainy out. The view from the property is beautiful. Walk around outside with a glass and enjoy. They also have bistro tables outside you can sit at. Bring a snack or lunch. Do a tasting, but a glass or bottle and enjoy the outdoor patio that looks out on the valley. Or on a chilly fall day, sit in by the fireplace to enjoy the wonderful ambience of Colene Clemens Tasting Room.

People that live in Oregon are so lucky. Gorgeous views, gorgeous vineyards and excellent wine. While staying overnight in McMinnville, Oregon we met some lovely locals and asked them for suggestions for what wineries to visit the next day. Practically every single one of them suggested Colene Clemens Vineyards. I would like to thank each and every one of them for their suggestion. You take a long and winding road to get to the vineyard, but it is so worth it! When we got to the top, we couldn't stop taking photos of the view, but finally made our way into the tasting room. What a tasting room it was! It was everything I could want in a wine tasting room...a roaring fire, comfy seats, gorgeous views out the windows and friendly server! Just as perfect as the wine tasting room was the wine! We loved every single wine that was poured! We loved it so much that we bought two bottles to ship home (we only ship back home a case so for one winery to get two bottles is a big deal!) We shipped home the 2013 Adriane Pino Noir and the 2013 Margo Pinot Noir. Wonderful wine, wonderful tasting room, wonderful views.

Gorgeous views if you can see over the retaining wall.

The staff was polite, welcoming, and friendly and the atmosphere was relaxing. The experience was like going into a nice home, next to a vineyard, for wine and cheese. Lovely atmosphere. Our group of eight had a Saturday afternoon reservation. We arrived and were seated before 12:30pm and left by around 1:45pm. This did not appear to be a big operation. During our visit, I saw only two lady employees tending to all the customers. Rain Dance has indoor and outdoor seating. We were seated inside. Regardless of where you sit, there are good views of the property's vineyard and garden. It's beautiful and serene. Shortly after our tasting began, a bachelorette party left. Therefore, we had the inside all to ourselves save for a couple seated by the window. The weather was pleasant so several doors to the house were left open, creating a calm, gentle breeze. We had the wines listed below. Individual bottle prices are from the time of our tasting and descriptions are from Rain Dance's website at the time of writing this review ( https://raindancevineyards.com/shop/ ). * 2022 Grand Oak Vineyard Riesling. $32 for 750-mL bottle. "Classic aromas and flavors of stone fruit and tropical flowers are lifted by vibrant acidity on the palate. This drier-style Riesling allows for so much versatility at the dinner table, but fish dishes are our favorites." * 2023 Grand Oak Gewurztraminer. $32 for 750-mL bottle. "A Rain Dance favorite! Gewurztraminer is a rare find in Oregon, especially in such a dry style. Its lively notes of jasmine, peach and spice box are perfect for Asian and Indian dishes loaded with their own exotic spices." * 2022 Estate Pinot Noir Cuvee. $45 for 750-mL bottle. "Fresh notes of cherries, pomegranate, plums, black pepper, pipe tobacco, and cinnamon." * 2021 Grand Oak Vineyard Pinot Noir. $60 for 750-mL bottle. "Bright and fresh with a complex assortment of dark cherries, raspberries, cranberries, intermingled with thyme, sage, and cinnamon." Since the time of our visit, I think the 2022 Grand Oak Vineyard Riesling and the 2021 Grand Oak Vineyard Pinot Noir have been replaced by 2023 and 2022 vintages, respectively. We also had at least two charcuterie boards ($35 each) that included crackers, roasted hazelnuts, onion jam, pork rillettes, raisins, and three kinds of cheese. The total cost for our group for everything was $336, which worked out to $42 per person. While I've been to a lot of wineries/vineyards and done a lot of wine tastings (just search my reviews), I'm still by no means a wine connoisseur. All I can say about Rain Dance is I thought all of the wines were enjoyable. All four, from the riesling to the pinot noirs, were delectable. They smelled and tasted well made and high quality. In short, I enjoyed our visit to Rain Dance and thought it was worth the visit. Rain Dance Vineyards is named after owners and founders Celia and Ken Austin's Rain Dance Ranch. The ranch was established in 1991 and the vineyard was established in 2009.

Oliver Springs Vineyard was our favorite stop on our small wine tour through Willamette Valley,…read morea.k.a. Oregon Wine Country. Husband and wife founders and owners Jim and Stephanie Houchins are nothing short of fantastic. The wines we tasted were excellent. After meeting Jim and Stephanie, I could really see the passion they had for wine and their vineyard. Oliver Springs is truly a labor of love for them. According to their website ( https://oliverspringsvineyard.com/ ), their first vintage year was 2016 and they "are currently producing approximately 300 cases a year, making [them] a micro-boutique winery." Our tasting consisted of the following wines: * 2021 Chardonnay * 2019 Estate Pinot Noir * 2021 Estate Pinot Noir * 2019 Kieta's Block Pinot Noir * 2019 Sasha's Block Pinot Noir The tasting, regularly $25 per person, included a sheet with tasting notes. Stephanie conducted the tasting and Jim assisted. Jim also took us on an educational and informative tour of the vineyard. Oliver Springs has multiple grape clones, which are cut and grafted from the same mother vines. I'm no wine expert/connoisseur, but I believe the general thought is clones produce more consistent, higher-quality wines. The Kieta and Sasha Block Pinot Noirs were named after two of Jim and Stephanie's huskies. A third husky, Mosey (Mozzie? I'm not sure how to spell it.), joined us for our tasting and vineyard tour, which added to the experience. :) Oliver Springs is a small operation. I believe the vineyard is only about 3.5 acres. I know it's not Stephanie's full-time job and I guess probably not for Jim either. They're open on weekends by appointment only. Our group of eight visited on a Saturday morning around 10:30am. We left shortly after 12:00pm. They have a relatively small, simple, clean, and modern building with a tasting room inside. Unlike many other wineries, this one provides an intimate, get-to-know-the-owners type wine-tasting experience. Several of us ended up ordering wine afterwards. The wine cost anywhere from $42 to $50 per bottle. As is customary, they have wine clubs you can join as well. See my pictures or contact them for more info.
