-Had a clogged shower drain last night, tried to plunge it myself -Plunging it made it worse, waste started coming up from the drain -Slept on it because I had to take the kids to school the next morning -8:15 - Dropped off kids -8:25 - Called 2 different plumbers, none available same day -8:28 - Called Mandel at Rapid Action Rooter, said one of his guys is nearby and can now -8:49 - I get home -8:50 - Dwayne and Amani show up, I had barely got to my garage -8:55 - Dwayne analyzes the clog, asks some questions to determine the issue -9:00-9:20 - Dwayne snakes the drain, went 10 feet in, drain still not unclogging. Dwayne starts troubleshooting and has Amani run the water in different locations. Noticed the bathroom sink will cause the clogged drain to back up more. -9:20-9:35 - Dwayne rakes apart the sink drain, snakes it, and pulls out a thicc glob of hair. The shower drain unclogs. Boom. -9:35-9:45 - They pack up and leave. In and out in less than 1 hour. I also want to mention that while Dwayne was working through all the troubleshooting, he spent the time to explain the details of why the first snake attempt couldn't catch the glob of hair (the snake was most likely turning the corner in the wrong direction at the fork where it meets the sink). So, I just had to fix the work that he performed about 5 years ago. I would not recommend this company. They over charge and the quality...well it needed re-done. If you need a good plumber, please consider Gap Plumbing (Wilson is busy, but does great work at a good price). Rapid Action Rooter, on the other hand, charges an exorbitant fee. (I take responsibility for not getting a second opinion, because he was very convincing and confident in his ability, and I was in a rush to fix the overflowing toilets). Rapid Action Rooter does have a great response time (better than most). My repair needed trench digging and pipes replaced. Unfortunately, Rapid Action Rooter used cheap rubber bands for connections, cut the connections too short, and didn't support the connections, which led to the leaking now. The repair even appeared to be placed backwards with connections and adaptions that created leaks later. read more

I would leave ZERO stars if I could. Extremely unprofessional. We have a toilet that needed a replacement part and it took constant calling to get updates. He told me he ordered the part a week ago and it would take 5 days. Then he texted me a few days later saying "Hey, we're still waiting on your payment" and I said what do you mean? You never told me you were waiting on us then he said he sent that to the wrong person. WELL I texted 6 days after the part was ordered for an update and called - he said he'd get back to me. He didnt, so I called again two days later. He was beyond rude. Nasty to me when I asked for the tracking number and order date/order number. I was trying to help check the status and what do you know, it hadn't even shipped yet and he refused to show me the order info showing when he placed the order. Clearly you didn't order it when you said you did and are pissed at me?? Even if you did, why not let me order the part myself like I offered? He wouldn't even tell me the part number so I could order it myself or look into it. He just said "go find someone else". What a waste of time and $$$! DO NOT RECOMMEND. ALSO to employee, Patrick Jones, just know he shared your home address with me from your order screenshot (all I wanted was the order # or tracking which I got neither, just your address...). If I could give Mandel and his team a 10-star rating I would. First, when they say open 24/7, they're really open. During the tiny bit of rain we got on Saturday our mainline began backing up into the master bathroom. Mandel showed up on a Saturday evening - and not at a double or triple fee pricing! We have a very complicated sewer line so he ran his camera through all three areas and found the initial issue and immediately got the blockage cleared out, but he found a second more serious blockage all the way down to the city sewer line. He showed me the entire pipeline on his camera - not some crappy camera that you can't tell what the heck you're looking at, but crystal clear color. Our mainline was cracked in several places all the way to below the street and overtaken by roots. This was a very scary situation because if the pipe collapsed under the city street, we were gonna be in a heap of trouble and have to take out a second mortgage for that type of repair-no less than $40K when digging up a city street. He laid out the plan, walked me through every step: Dig up the section of the driveway where the trap was (four feet down), HydroJet out ALL of the roots, then sleeve the pipe all the way to the city mainline and replace the trap with a proper three-way trap. His crew showed up at 8AM sharp to begin work and didn't stop until the job was complete-including re-cementing the area they had to dig through. His team didn't finish until 7P. It was unbelievable that they finished this entire project in one day. Our next door neighbors had to go through the same process a month ago and that company was there for four days, and for the next two weeks I saw the company truck returning - so, obviously problems were still happening. Doing this type of major work never comes cheap, and as Mandel told me: "I'm not the cheapest, but I'm not the most expensive, we give a fair price and do the job better than any other company - and he was 100% correct. I will never hire another plumber and will recommend Mandel and his team to everyone I know. HIGHLY, highly recommend Rapid Action Rooter for your plumbing needs. read more
