Huge thanks to Mandel and his team. My water heater's tank cracked open on a Sunday, four days before Christmas. He not only took my call, but offered to do the job that very same day. However, after learning from him that the plumbing supply warehouses charge extra to sell parts on Sundays, we elected to do it a day later, and I had a brand new water heater with a 6-year warranty less than 24 hours after calling Rapid Action Rooter. Mandel's team, which is part of a multi-generational family that goes back to Mandel's grandfather, arrived on time and worked quickly and professionally with an exceptionally clean install that even cleared up a small gas leak. Thank you to Rapid Action Rooter for saving our Christmas!

Edwin at Beach Plumbing recommended us to Restorerz, and said they were the best in the area. I trusted his judgment, as I had a previous experience about 8 years prior with a different company (recommended by my insurance company) that was horrific in every sense the word. Joel and his team (Eduardo, David and Javier) came to the property the morning after Edwin identified the leak and immediately created a game plan. They laid out the entire process start to finish, gave realistic timeframes, offered to speak with insurance adjusters, and were always checking in and within reach during the process. They tore down the walls and got the room prepped for mitigation immediately to get the room dried out. They were extra careful to make sure the rest of my house was clean while they did performed the job. They said they would show up every day to check on the fans, which they did. Christobal came next and helped explained the situation to the insurance company over the phone with me on the line. He showed up when the field adjuster came out to the property to explain the situation. He became my main point of contact. On top of all this, after they were finished the job, they had their Claims Consultant Morelia keep in touch with me during the payment portion with the insurance. She knew the process backwards and forwards and was extra helpful in managing the flow of documents to the insurance company. She provided me with every bit of information I needed to make sure insurance was properly charged. While I hope to never have a situation like this happen again, I would recommend Restorerz in a heartbeat to anyone suffering through a water loss and needing their services. They really have it together and provide top notch service for our community.

Overall I'm glad everything was closed and my house is put back together.

His crew is professional, punctual, and patient. I'm an over-planner and worrier, but Danny and Daniel were always patient, kind, and thorough in their explanations, putting my mind at ease. Frank was also always accessible over the phone and text message if I had additional questions about scheduling and the scope of work. The company also offers general construction services, and Frank offered a bid to patch an exterior stucco wall that our plumber had to get into. Based on our positive experience with the concurrent moisture mitigation work, we decided to contract with Frank on the patching project, too. All in all, I wouldn't hesitate to work with Frank and his team again. I highly recommend Save The Day Restoration!

And then they created a containment center in both affected areas that had CDC energy! It immediately gave me confidence that they were going to take the job seriously and I was in good hands. At one point, I realized the downstairs carpet padding hadn't been removed (after they had already left for the week on a Friday), and I assumed I'd be stuck waiting until Monday. Instead, they turned around and came back within minutes to fix it. That kind of customer service is not something I experience often. Their quote was definitely higher than the other company I got an estimate from, but I felt like they were the ones who were going to do it right and not cut corners. I feel good knowing I won't have to worry about hidden moisture or mold down the line. Huge shout-out to Danny, who gave me the estimate and led the job, super professional and clearly knows his stuff. And Daniel, who felt like his right-hand guy, was incredibly respectful and kind. Honestly the whole team was great. I rarely walk away from vendors feeling this satisfied, but they really lived up to their name. Highly recommend.

I talked with Milan who told me that I should check with a mold company to make sure there's mold first before doing any construction work. The mold company came out and confirmed, there's definitely excess moisture. They gave me a quote to do mold remediation and I was thinking of using them instead but I was told that they wouldn't do the reconstruction/repair after the mold remediation. So I came back to Zimax. They provided me with a very similar quote to the other company for mold remediation. I liked that Zimax would be able to do both the mold remediation and the repair afterwards. I accepted Zimax's quote and Milan was able to schedule me in for mold remediation quickly. They came on a Tuesday. They removed the drywalls and found that there were multiple leaks from the windows. They set up everything in one day. They set up a paper walkway so that they wouldn't track any dirt into the house. Everything was done very professionally. Friday, they came back and removed their equipment. I was told that the next step is to do water testing to determine all the spots where there were leaks. They did some testing but then told me that more testing was needed. They were gonna come on Monday, but they were able to squeeze me in on Saturday instead. They found all the multiple leaks coming from two windows. I wanted them to start immediately, but there was a bit of delay with their scheduling. I guess with how good these guys are, they must be swamped. But Milan did his best to schedule me in asap. Friday, they came and patched the leaks. Then on Saturday, they came to water test to make sure there were no more leaks. Once they confirmed no leaks, they started the repair work that same day. Everything was pretty much completed on Saturday. Last step was painting. They painted on Monday and we were told that the paint just needed about two hours to dry and it would be good. Overall, a very pleasant and professional experience. This is the kind of company I want to work with for anything I might need. They provided accurate information and was courteous. Everyone showed up on time, ready to work. I was impressed with the end results and the work that they did.

His team set up a solid containment, performed the work to scope, and passed clearance testing with a third party company. They also offered to leave their containment up (including some temp poles) for the duration of my build-back project. The team was careful of my house during the demo which involved carrying large, heavy pieces of shower glass down some stairs and through some turns. The only downside I found during the process was the need to pay for the site visit for the quote. This payment is credited to the bill and it wound up being a non-issue due to selecting BH environmental for the job, but none of the other companies I had out requested payment for the quoting visit.

None of this process was communicated clearly to us. I appreciate the owner's effort to make it right with a refund of the fee. I wouldn't even recommend requesting an estimate from these people. I wish I hadn't. The star is because someone technically came out. They were the only ones who charged a fee to come out, and their inspector spent a total of maybe 50 seconds in the bathroom that had water damage. The person who came out told us would have an estimate within a day, and no estimate. Unlike the other companies that came out, he made no inquiry about the age of the house or mention of required asbestos testing. Overall, his visit did not inspire confidence that any estimate we did get (if we got one) would be valid or accurate (not require change orders). Maybe the reason why some reviewers say they're cheaper is that they cut corners? (We wouldn't know as we never got our estimate.) We were really dissatisfied even with our (extremely brief) visual inspection experience. Communication with respect to the process was not good (as we don't know what's going on). Clearly my short list selection process failed me here. ETA: Apparently they were waiting on payment for the estimate (no one made clear what this process was), which we finally got, and indeed did not include asbestos testing.

While I was a little hesitant never having done restoration our foreman Steve and his crew have been experts. I have been blown away by how thorough they are. Nothing has been left untouched. They open every cabinet and closet, remove the items, clean the walls then the items unless it is clothing. I chose to wash my own clothes. They contracted with a tester to determine if there were toxins because that would drive how the remediation would proceed. In our situation there were no toxins. The estimator Jenny spent 2 hours documenting the mess that the fire and wind event left my home of many years. The estimate was extremely detailed. When I had questions she answered me promptly and eased my fears when I expressed them. She was never condescending or annoyed as I needed a lot of handholding in the beginning. Once the crew started all of it was dispelled. I feel ANM restoration went above and beyond in getting our home inside and out back to clean. In fact it's the cleanest it's ever been. Our insurance company chose them. I would choose them on my own if this were to happen again. Every surface has been vacuumed and/or cleaned by hand. The crew washed every dish in our china cabinets and pantry. Every shelf and pictures are spotless. They used something called wallglide. But they would use Dawn if I requested for certain items. My insurance company has cut checks based on ANM's recommendations that certain items like beds were a total loss. No need to clean first then decide if they were acceptable.. I have one crew just for cleaning. The crew forewoman comes to me to ask questions or if I need to approve a particular process that doesn't need her foreman's input. The team says they work together on many jobs. I think they worked well together. Once the insulation was removed, a different crew came to vacuum the attic. They spent a good day cleaning our crawlspace. They have another crew that will reinsulate. I am thankful I upped my coverage a few years back so there is no fight over whether the insurance will pay or not. ANM has another team that is coming in at the end to steam clean my upholstered furniture and rugs. I feel individual expertise means I am getting the benefit. The foreman is busy working both the Palisades and the Eaton fire. I feel he is good about checking in on the crew. He surveys their work and it doesn't matter if he isn't on site every day. He is always ready to answer questions and he advises me if I am uncertain about an insurable item or not. His crew is extremely skilled and professional. He brings additional supplies when needed and makes sure his crew has the proper masks and in some instances a respirator p100 for areas of clean up like the attic. They brought professional HEPA vacuums. I could go on and on but the bottom line is I am so pleased with the work and care ANM took with my home. The ANM team who have worked on my home has exceeded my expectations. I highly recommend them and their ability to supplement services (then my insurance cuts a check) as needed. They are actually working a bit longer than the time they estimated but I appreciate their taking the time to do the best job.

I'm sorry I had to give them a star to get my review in as they deserve 0 stars and many turds. Joe is rude, extremely sexist and the opposite of helpful. I shed a lot of tears before I realized I could switch companies and wow what a difference. First of all, ANM employees don't actually work. They stand around and smoke so a 2 month job turns into a 10 month job. In fact, it still wouldn't be finished and everything would've been "out of pocket" (their favorite phrase) if we hadn't switched. What work they did do was really bad and had to be redone by the good company. Everything is about saving them money. They will only do one coat of paint for example. "No, we don't do shutters or the wall next to the one we painted" so now it looks horrible. WE had to be out of our home in 3 different AirBNBs before the insurance money ran out and we were homeless. Joe seemed to be in cahoots with our Insurance agent. All of them have 0 customer skills! They would actually out and out lie. Things they tore out (like our vanity and sink, closet doors, etc. were "missing" so had to be repurchased. And of course, out of pocket. I don't know why USAA uses them. We certainly have advised them not to. Don't consider them for anything! If your insurance company selects them, you have the right to turn them down.
