Best and only place around this area. Friendly, cheap and fast. Stop in grab a bite. Most things are $4 sandwich up to 12 for entrees.

    Barbeque plate with three sides

Well I was headed into Lexington around noon and I noticed quite a few cars outside Randy's Restaurant, so my thoughts were if there are that many vehicles it must be pretty good so I circled back around to chow down. I'm a traveling salesman and have been for the last forty years and somehow I have never noticed this spot. As Lexington is known as a Barbecue town, I've eaten at Smokey Joe's, Barbecue Center, Lexington Barbecue and a couple of others that I can't recall, as I am getting old. I didn't notice a smokehouse on the premises but the menu says it is their specialty. I usually get a large tray at the other joints in town, and I am quite partial to the corse chopped tray at Smokey Joe's. Lexington Barbecue is more hype than anything else, it is pretty good but over priced. At all the other joints a large tray runs around $10 for just some Q, slaw, & hush puppies, but at Randy's you get about the same amount of Q plus 3 sides for $10 and it's quite the bargain. On to the food, the Q is not quite chopped, but not quite corse either neither is it pulled, it's almost a combination of all styles. The vinegar sauce they put on it is more Eastern NC style than Lexington style. The don't have any additional choices on the table, but you really don't need any. The fried squash was hot and not greasy, the broccoli and cheese was a little cool but is a nice side, and the red slaw could have had just a touch more vinegar but is as good as any. I now have an additional choice when in Lexington and it is the best value I've found around for a complete barbeque meal.

I stopped in on my return trip from Greensboro. The place is small diner but it is clean and roomy inside. They have a 95.0 sanitation grade. The parking is good here. The food was decent. I didn't have a dedicated server. They waited on my table by committee. I saw three different girls during my visit. They did not offer Brunswick Stew as a side. I tried unsuccessfully to order a sliced barbecue sandwich. I was told that I could only order chopped barbecue. If you cook your own barbecue why can't you easily produce a sliced barbecue sandwich? I settled for chopped sandwich with a side of hush puppies. The barbecue wasn't bad. The hush puppies were pretty good. They gave me a lot of hush puppies for my money. The price was defiantly fair. The sauce they used on the barbecued pork was good. The servers were nice. There's better barbecue out there but the food is still better than eating at a fast food chain restaurant.

Delicious food. Like some of the other reviews said, come hungry. My husband and I was here got the BBQ plate. It was delicious! As for the sides we had mac n cheese, green beans, baked beans, hot apples, and sweet potato casserole. Everything was great except for the mac n cheese. It had no flavor and was super watery. The sweet potato casserole was just amazing. We also grabbed two cookies on the way out. The peanut butter were good but the chocolate chip could use some work. We will definitely be back though. I wish more of the staff were wearing masks.

    Great coffee!

Thought we'd take a gamble and stop here as we drive by from time to time. Very pleasantly surprised. The staff were friendly and efficient. The food was excellent and the coffee was great. The restroom situation is a bit weird. One restroom with 2 closed off stalls. Other than that little uniqueness, we really enjoyed Randy's and will be back.

There are tons of appetizers to choose from, which is great if you just want a drink and something small to eat. Regarding the entrees. Burgers, wings, wraps, and sandwiches dominate the menu. They do have a "plate" menu which has chicken and steak options. Nice variety, which includes a kids menu. I got the wings which are a solid 4 stars. Lots of flavors to choice from. I sampled my wife's Hamburger Steak plate and enjoyed it. Tons of beers (many regional) on the draft menu. 5 stars for their draft beer selection. Full bar if you want something harder or just having a bad day. Service was very good. No issues with the wait staff. So I know what you are thinking. "Overall a positive review Tim. Why not 5 stars?". It's freaking LOUD. At my table, we had to shout to carry on a conversation.

The exterior is pretty unassuming, so I wasn't expecting to walk into such an awesome spot! From the super-friendly welcome from our smiling hostess, who seated us immediately, to our waitress, Carrie, who was incredibly nice and provided excellent service, everything was top-notch! I'm always on the hunt for the best club sandwich, and I can honestly say this was THE BEST club sandwich I've EVER had! It was so beautifully presented, it almost looked fake, but it was absolutely delicious. We also tried the Pick 3 appetizers and loved the fried mushrooms, southwest egg rolls, and bagel bites, and we had a burger too! We're so happy we found this place and can't wait to come back. 10/10!

This looks like a little hole-in the-wall type of place, so I should've known it would be great! We got hotdogs all the way with no onions, I think they called them "regular." We also got fries and drinks. It was about $24 total, which isn't terrible compared to other hotdog places in the area. Everything was served piping hot and the hotdogs I would argue are my favorite of any in the area. They are a red hotdog and the white slaw and chili are almost sweet. It reminds me of the hotdogs I grew up eating at a local drive in restaurant back where I'm from. It is a walk-up stand and you're served at a window but you can take your food back to your car and eat in the air conditioning or take it back home with you. The lady taking orders was managing phone orders and in person orders while fixing drinks and calling customers up to get their food. I loved my visit to this little place and I'm going to definitely keep it in mind for lunches in the near future. Can't wait to go back soon!
