Quaint Mom & Pop burger spot. Very open with old school charm. We tried the classic with Cajun fries, Gyro with Cajun fries and the King. The King was very interesting. It wasn't gross but unique. You could taste the ingredients separately. I liked the PB and Banana with honey. Classic taste on a toasted bun. The glitzy was cook perfectly with slits to hold the sauce. It wasn't horrible. However the burger was flat. Definitely boxed mean with no seasoning. It was massive and cooked well/even. I loved their massive pickle chips. The Gyro was also precooked and tasteless, more like Steakums vs a shredded lamb. We were told the Cajun fries were curly but they were regular fries with seasoning. The fries were massive and thick. The burgers are fantastic! There are so many interesting varieties to choose from. The most unique we've had was the King Burger, inspired by Elvis with bacon, peanut butter, and banana. It sounds super weird but it is tasty! They also have a meat and two option for a daily special. The chicken pie and the chicken casserole are both really good. The fried okra is a great side! We decided to eat here after a visit to the NC Zoo. It is about 10 minutes down the road and well worth it. They have delicious and reasonably priced hamburgers and hotdogs. I enjoyed the Ronald which is similar to a Big Mac. I had the chips but will get the fries next time. My son loved his hotdog and the banana pudding. I had the apple pie and.thought it was good. I adore this place. It reminds me of home, of Colorado fields and skies. It reminds me of the place my mother waitresses when I was growing up, and it took everything in me not to get up and serve my own coffee for nostalgia lol! Besides the nostalgia and homey atmosphere, the staff are all super friendly and love to talk (which makes my heart happy) and are always kind to my son. The food is really good, so many things to choose from. I LOVE their ranch, and chicken strips (though occasionally they end up a little over burnt, not often though) and their fries are heaven. Everything under the bun came recommended to me by some locals as a great place to get a burger. Located in an older shopping center and definitely don't look like much from the outside. Plenty of parking. Inside is old school restaurant all the way. Booth and table seating. They specialize in burgers and hot dogs here with their own ideas. Really a large menu. They also have some other sandwiches and salads. Service was fast and friendly. My drink glass never went dry. The place was clean. I had a hard time trying to decide which burger to get with so many choices and they all sounded great. Ultimately I had the Cobb burger. It was indeed delicious. The burger itself had a nice taste. It was cooked properly and I didn't have to tell them how to do it! The bun was toasted and tasted fresh. Nice bacon, lettuce, and a boiled egg! House made chips were cooked up nice and crisp. I hear their milkshakes are awesome! I didn't get one... watching my figure. I did have a burger. Welp! It was aight. However for a place that I assume is all about the burgers, they should work on this. First they should season their meat with salt and pepper. Second they should ask people how they like their meat cooked (medium), and third, they shouldn't put so much mustard on the burger. Myself and 3 other colleagues shared the same sentiment about the mustard. The fries were okay. The lady only came back to check on us when I was putting the last bit of my burger in my mouth. After taking awhile to decide where to go for lunch, my wife hesitantly suggested EUTB because some of her suggestions become disasters. I am so glad she suggested this restaurant, this Mom and Pop type family restaurant with a great atmosphere, and not to mention service, was not disappointing at all. But the burgers....I got the cheddar jalapeño burger and my boyfriend got the firm alarm burger. The burgers definitely need more seasoning. We planned to get takeout (since we have young kids, it's often just easier that way), but they insisted we come in and make ourselves comfortable at the restaurant. We felt right at home. Their fried okra is always excellent. They have a good selection of burgers and hot dogs. Their pot roast is just like homemade, and their banana pudding is custardy, just like it should be. A great place to stop after a morning at the Zoo or, to grab a bite of dinner. We order a black bean burger, a classic burger and a black & blue burger all with the fresh made hot chips. Everything was cooked well and it looked like they really care about what they do in the kitchen. Food was served hot and fresh just like anyone would want. Burger was OK...maybe a 3 out of 5...after all this is supposed to be a burger place and it's got to be a really, really tasty burger to get to even a 4 much less a 5. Tastier meat and a better bun would at least moved it up to a 4. Fries were at best a 1 and maybe even a 0. Been a while since I ate here but I seem to remember better fries than what I got...they were greasy and limp, not crispy on the outside and tender on the inside as a good fry should be. I'm thinking that they switched to a lower quality potato not recommended for making a good French fry...they should check with Five Guys who don't mind showing you not only the variety of potato but the farm that grew it for that day. I mentioned the fries as I paid but the young lady could only say she didn't think they had changed potatoes and she was sorry. Service was decent...young wait staff...all looked high school age...polite enough at first greeting but that's about it...they did do a good job keeping the water glass filled and asking if everything was OK. I dined here between 5:30 and 6:00 on a Saturday afternoon...was surprised how many tables were vacant...probably only 25-33% were occupied and this during the height of Saturday dinner time. Maybe the fall off in food quality accounts for the lack of diners. Won't return until I hear that the quality of the food has gone up...especially the fries. read more

I used to be a regular customer of this establishment, and since I haven't been in awhile I decided to come in last Friday with my sister. HUGE MISTAKE. We sat down and within a few minutes was greeted by a waitress who brought menus and took our drink order. As she was taking our meal orders, I noticed specials on the chalkboard behind the bar and asked our waitress if there was more cobbler, she told me there was plenty left so I ordered some. Shortly after taking our order our waitress noticed 2 tables of people she apparently knew and that is where 100% of her attention went. She only came to our table ONCE after a completely different waitress brought out our food. Once we began eating, my sister ran out of tea and placed her cup on the end of the table indicating she wanted a refill, her cup sat there over 20 minutes, waitresses walked by refilling cups, but not a single one even offered to refill hers. After I finished my meal, I waited for another 15 minutes hoping to see my cobbler arrive. It never came. My sister flagged down a waitress who said she would bring it, 30 more minutes pass and no cobbler. We flag down a different waitress and ask again for my cobbler, she said she would tell my waitress. Another 15 minutes pass and I am getting a little upset. Not one waitress who said they were checking or bringing my cobbler came back. A completely different waitress came by and we flag her down and ask about the cobbler. Her response "we haven't had cobbler since earlier today". SERIOUSLY?!?! 3 waitresses and an hour of wasted time to be told there's not any cobbler when I was told while ordering that it was available. . .not a single one of the other waitresses even checked. And on top of this, nobody had time to talk to me about this, or even offer an apology. And the icing on the cake, the girl at the cash register was RUDE, then I tell her my issue and she just looks and me and rolls her eyes. Great spot to stop for a burger after a cold winters day burning off calories at the zoo. Tucked away in the corner of a run down shopping plaza, this restaurant was warm and friendly. In addition to the extensive list of burgers and sandwiches, there was also a full menu of specials. Our table mostly got the burgers, all of which were great. No one was brave enough to try the peanut butter and jelly burger. The fries could have been crisper, but the fried pickles were perfect.
