Cobb Burger and chips
Allison L.

For what it is, they are doing it well here. There's lots of variety on the menu. The service was really friendly and the food was great. There's nothing fancy about it but that's sort of the draw to this place. A great place to eat after a full day of walking at the Zoo.

The Ronald

We decided to eat here after a visit to the NC Zoo. It is about 10 minutes down the road and well worth it. They have delicious and reasonably priced hamburgers and hotdogs. I enjoyed the Ronald which is similar to a Big Mac. I had the chips but will get the fries next time. My son loved his hotdog and the banana pudding. I had the apple pie and.thought it was good. We also tried the fried okra and it was very good.

Atmosphere is a charming small town, mom and pop place. Definitely friendly staff and good service. The sweet tea is great I recommend the half and half, the perfect sweetness. Burgers are surprisingly thick and juicy for being cook all the way through. The fries are fresh cut and really good. A good local spot for lunch after a trip to the Zoo, only about 10 minutes away. Humble and good food.

Cobb burger and chips!

Everything under the bun came recommended to me by some locals as a great place to get a burger. Located in an older shopping center and definitely don't look like much from the outside. Plenty of parking. Inside is old school restaurant all the way. Booth and table seating. They specialize in burgers and hot dogs here with their own ideas. Really a large menu. They also have some other sandwiches and salads. Service was fast and friendly. My drink glass never went dry. The place was clean. I had a hard time trying to decide which burger to get with so many choices and they all sounded great. Ultimately I had the Cobb burger. It was indeed delicious. The burger itself had a nice taste. It was cooked properly and I didn't have to tell them how to do it! The bun was toasted and tasted fresh. Nice bacon, lettuce, and a boiled egg! House made chips were cooked up nice and crisp. I can't wait to go back and try more of their creations. I would definitely recommend this place for a great burger and good service.

Classic Burger w/ Fries

I hear their milkshakes are awesome! I didn't get one... watching my figure. I did have a burger. Welp! It was aight. However for a place that I assume is all about the burgers, they should work on this. First they should season their meat with salt and pepper. Second they should ask people how they like their meat cooked (medium), and third, they shouldn't put so much mustard on the burger. Myself and 3 other colleagues shared the same sentiment about the mustard. The fries were okay. The lady only came back to check on us when I was putting the last bit of my burger in my mouth. Luckily everything was okay.... would have liked some ranch for my fries. Perhaps next time I'll stop in for a milkshake: Chocolate, Vanilla, or Strawberry

After taking awhile to decide where to go for lunch, my wife hesitantly suggested EUTB because some of her suggestions become disasters. I am so glad she suggested this restaurant, this Mom and Pop type family restaurant with a great atmosphere, and not to mention service, was not disappointing at all. The portions were generous and food was great. I definitely recommend EUTB. The only negative I would have, is that the burgers were not seasoned enough.

Inside is a huge bar and looks like all seating is at the bar. It had a Key West/marine/beach vibe to it and they play great music. The staff was attentive and friendly. Was given their house potatoes and Cole slaw with the Fish n Chips and everything was delicious. Very generous portions, food comes out hot and cooked perfectly. My second visit was just as delightful. Had the Shrimp Boil platter with corn, sausage and garlic toast. It was super yummy! Highly recommend!

Even better than Mr Bs Bistro in New Orleans. Pair that with their free potato salad and coleslaw, and get their French bread loaf to dip into the sauce. That's an unforgettable meal. The bread is hot and fresh with a buttery soft center and crisp exterior crust. Start with their charcoal oysters. Again. Best I've ever had. No joke. And to top it off the blackened branzino from their Friday special. I can't wait to get back there. As if the food wasn't enough, their service is top notch. A true 5 star restaurant experience crammed into a mom and pop hole in the wall price.

From the moment we sat down, Kat brought a level of energy, attentiveness, and genuine hospitality that completely elevated our experience. She doesn't just "take orders"--she reads the room, anticipates needs before you even realize them, and makes every guest feel like a VIP. It's a rare skill, and she has it in spades. Her drink recommendations were spot-on--thoughtful, tailored, and clearly backed by real knowledge of her craft. You can tell she takes pride in what she does, and it shows in every detail, from presentation to taste. Even during busy moments, she never seemed rushed or overwhelmed--just focused, friendly, and completely in control. What stood out most, though, was her attitude. Kat has that natural ability to connect with people--warm, personable, and effortlessly engaging without ever being overbearing. It's the kind of service that turns a good night out into a memorable one. Management should know: Kat isn't just doing her job--she's setting a standard. The place has a very interesting and quirky vibe. I really loved all the pig art and sports decor around the place. They also have a few TVs so it was nice to have a chance to catch up and watch some NFL games. I love trying random things and have never heard of fish dogs before so I had to try those. Overall it was really good. I love the sauce that it came with and the fish was very crispy. The buns could've been a little bit softer but it wasn't a deal breaker. The seasoned fries also had a really good cajun seasoning on them. The only thing better than the food was the service. Out server was also pretty quirky in the best way possible. She had a very happy and welcoming vibe. She was extremely nice and attentive throughout the meal and made sure we had everything we needed.

I really didn't know what to make of it all, and worried the food wouldn't be very good, since their focus seemed split in several directions. However, I tried several different things on the menu, and most of them did not disappoint. We split a Green Bacon Flatbread and Cajun Chicken Quesadilla, and I also got a side of mac and cheese and a strawberry smoothie. The flatbread was pretty good, although it did JUST taste like bacon. I ate it with ranch, which they do well. I suspect their other flatbreads (which they have a LOT of) are less one-note, but I'll never know, because I would just order this one again. The quesadilla was great, and the chicken was well-seasoned. They also season the outside of the tortilla, and I appreciated the extra kick of flavor. This came with sour cream and a salsa verde. The mac and cheese was mild, creamy, and chock full of pepper. Usually I like a sharper cheese flavor, but I enjoyed it. Smoothies were extremely cheap (under $5 for a 16 oz), but unfortunately we got what we paid for. They were wayyyy too sweet for our tastes, and not a lot of any fruit flavors came through. Our server was kind, attentive, and quick. The interior was very spacious and I noticed several people with laptops out doing work while they drank coffee. It's a nice space.

It's hardly ever both in my experience. Service met the expectation. She was attentive and kept my drink full. I ordered Chicken Pie or Chicken Casserole (I'm honestly not sure what the difference is. It's a LOCALS favorite, not found in surrounding cities. I think some places call it pie and others call it casserole and I've even seen both items on the same menu). It may have been either the last serving left, scraped off the edges of the pan or it was made on a previous date and re-heated. The same with the mashed potatoes. There were hard crunchy bits of potatoes like it had been sitting out for a day or so and I got the scrapings from the side of the pan. They were not fresh. The gravy wasn't bad. The green beans were straight out of a can and seasoned with bacon or some kind of pork. They served both biscuits and cornbread. I took a bite out of the biscuit and didn't eat the cornbread. From the outside, I thought this was going to be different than what I saw on the inside. They serve breakfast here too and from the reviews and pictures, looks like breakfast may be what keeps this place open. Or the desserts. They do have a huge selection of desserts at the front entrance and they looked good. I don't think I'll be back. Not because of the service but because of quality and cleanliness.
