    Chicken Pie

My first time here and I came in through the side door by mistake so that killed first impressions. Plus you can tell this place has been around for many years so either the food is good or they give you huge servings. It's hardly ever both in my experience. Service met the expectation. She was attentive and kept my drink full. I ordered Chicken Pie or Chicken Casserole (I'm honestly not sure what the difference is. It's a LOCALS favorite, not found in surrounding cities. I think some places call it pie and others call it casserole and I've even seen both items on the same menu). It may have been either the last serving left, scraped off the edges of the pan or it was made on a previous date and re-heated. The same with the mashed potatoes. There were hard crunchy bits of potatoes like it had been sitting out for a day or so and I got the scrapings from the side of the pan. They were not fresh. The gravy wasn't bad. The green beans were straight out of a can and seasoned with bacon or some kind of pork. They served both biscuits and cornbread. I took a bite out of the biscuit and didn't eat the cornbread. From the outside, I thought this was going to be different than what I saw on the inside. They serve breakfast here too and from the reviews and pictures, looks like breakfast may be what keeps this place open. Or the desserts. They do have a huge selection of desserts at the front entrance and they looked good. I don't think I'll be back. Not because of the service but because of quality and cleanliness.

My mushroom and Swiss omelette was stuffed to almost overflowing and it was perfection. Cup of fresh fruit was incredible!!! We all had a fantastic meal. My 5 year old cleaned her plate! My husband raved about the made from scratch biscuits and gravy. Don't miss stopping here.

This diner in Asheboro was super busy. There's a gravel lot on the side The waitress was on point and it's where the locals go! The food was good, including the ranch dressing.

This place is hands down a great place. The service is great and the staff is wonderful! The quantity and quality of the food is very worth it. Sundays seem to be a busy day it's worth the wait for our family of 5. The parking is the only downfall.

Went with my family on a whim to eat a late breakfast. There was four of us. We went to CJ'S Olde Towne Restaurant there was about a five minute wait. About 11:45AM on a Friday. The waitress was amazing and did a great job. The food was hot fresh and out quickly after ordering. Overall I give it five stars because of the price, portions, atmosphere, taste, and hospitality. If you want some where good to go I recommend trying them out, you will not regret it.

Great place if you like the small town feel. Everyone was nice and talkative. They have daily specials that can be found on their Facebook page. My fiance said that it took her back to the good old days. It was a little hot in the restaurant and pretty busy. I think that the only thing I can complain about was the fries were a little soggy. Other than that, it was a nice place with great food.

It had crunch instead of being too wet or too mushy. The smashed potatoes were very good! Potatoes served like that aren't usually my thing but they were delicious and well seasoned. I ordered the shrimp and corn while my husband got the crab cakes. Some places are mostly filling with hints of crab, Full Moon was the opposite--maximum amount of crab with the right amount of "cake". The shrimp was great and perfectly steamed. The corn came out piping hot! The service was fantastic. The seating is mostly bar tops which is cool and allows for the service to be seamless. Honestly it felt like a beach vacation on a Tuesday. Our next visit will be on a Tuesday so I can try the all you can eat crab legs.

Even better than Mr Bs Bistro in New Orleans. Pair that with their free potato salad and coleslaw, and get their French bread loaf to dip into the sauce. That's an unforgettable meal. The bread is hot and fresh with a buttery soft center and crisp exterior crust. Start with their charcoal oysters. Again. Best I've ever had. No joke. And to top it off the blackened branzino from their Friday special. I can't wait to get back there. As if the food wasn't enough, their service is top notch. A true 5 star restaurant experience crammed into a mom and pop hole in the wall price.

We went to arrive after the noon lunch but that didn't happen because the crowd kept coming. After throughly reading the menu I finally decided on the small plate of popcorn shrimp with a baked potato and coleslaw. Since it was my first time i wanted make sure the dish was good, and it was! When our order was delivered the oval plate was piled at least 3 inches high. I had asked for an extra plate to put the potato on so I would be able to prepare it for eating without pushing the shrimp off the plate and am I glad I did because the plate was so full I would have had to eat most of the shrimp. I was also impressed that while there was a large crowd, we were seated immediately and our orders were taken and served in a timely manner. During the short wait I saw that the staff jumped on a table to clean as soon as the guests walked away from the table. And the noise level was low and we could carry on a conversation without yelling. As an afterthought, maybe it was quiet because everyone was eat the great food. As we were leaving I saw a server bring out the regular size plate and almost fell over. It was on a round plate that looked to be 11 to 12 inches and loaded 2 or 3 inches high. As much as I can eat, I doubt I could have eaten all that! Great food, service, ambiance, what more can you ask for. I will be back soon.

We started with the spinach dip and everyone loved it. It came with these toasted bread bites that had a great seasoning and crunch to them. They kind of reminded me of an everything bagel but as a bread bite. This paired really nicely with the hot spinach dip. They also have a ton of coffee and tea options. I was a little bummed that did not have fountain sodas. My sister got a smoothie and really liked it. For my entree I got the Italian flatbread. It was a really nice combination of flavors with the sausage and peppers. I sampled my boyfriend's flatbread (pickled) and thought it was great as well! They have a large variety of options, perfect for a group like my family with different tastes. Everyone enjoyed it and agreed we'd have to come back when in the area!

I really didn't know what to make of it all, and worried the food wouldn't be very good, since their focus seemed split in several directions. However, I tried several different things on the menu, and most of them did not disappoint. We split a Green Bacon Flatbread and Cajun Chicken Quesadilla, and I also got a side of mac and cheese and a strawberry smoothie. The flatbread was pretty good, although it did JUST taste like bacon. I ate it with ranch, which they do well. I suspect their other flatbreads (which they have a LOT of) are less one-note, but I'll never know, because I would just order this one again. The quesadilla was great, and the chicken was well-seasoned. They also season the outside of the tortilla, and I appreciated the extra kick of flavor. This came with sour cream and a salsa verde. The mac and cheese was mild, creamy, and chock full of pepper. Usually I like a sharper cheese flavor, but I enjoyed it. Smoothies were extremely cheap (under $5 for a 16 oz), but unfortunately we got what we paid for. They were wayyyy too sweet for our tastes, and not a lot of any fruit flavors came through. Our server was kind, attentive, and quick. The interior was very spacious and I noticed several people with laptops out doing work while they drank coffee. It's a nice space.
