As I was going to the Petty Museum I knew I wanted to stop at the place Richard and Kyle Petty had gone to in Kyle's show on Circle TV. Staff was pleasant and efficient. Restaurant was clean. I ordered two hot dogs and fries - delicious! If you go, know that it is a cash-only business. Fortunately, they do have an ATM machine on the premises.

Part of the interior - of course they're big R Petty fans.

Rather plain, worn little diner in the small community of Level Cross, offering breakfast and lunch 6 days a week. We stopped in to try a Cheeseburger, Hot Dog, Tater Tots, and Onion Rings. The Hot Dog was excellent, with a nice meaty, house made chili, and the diner style cheeseburger was also very, very good. The Taters Tots were excellent, cooked nice and crispy, with plenty of real potato taste. The Onion Rings were the only disappointment, over cooked, with little onion taste. Very, very nice and friendly people here. They offer Chip Beef Gravy over fresh made Biscuits on Sat mornings - gotta try them.

Ok friends. This is my shortest review in history. What I'm about to say tells it all…read more THE TABLE I hope you understand. No pictures.

Well, I didn't have a great experience here yesterday, sadly, I had to drive over an hour for a DMV…read moreappointment, so I looked online and this place was highly rated. I had already chosen my "carved turkey Reuben sandwich", yum, when I first went at around 12:30-the line was out the door, so went to my appointment, hoping I could get back by the 230 close time. Returned at about 215 yay, and happily walked right up to the counter to order my lunch, when I was told they were out of carved turkey (the way the server explained it sounded like an ingredient in the Reuben was out, not the actual turkey. I asked if the "simple turkey sandwich" had carved turkey, and I was told no, it was deli meat-deli meat is so processed and unhealthy. I was super disappointed. So I opted for a Smashburger after asking how they liked it and she said it was "delicious". Well, it's not a Smashburger. It's a double burger on a nothing special bun. I was going to take the bun off and eat it with a knife and fork, and I was looking for those yummy crispy edges on a authentic Smashburger. They didn't exist. This was a double cheeseburger with very thick patties. I think they were grass fed so kudos to them for that,, but it was incredibly dry sadly, and when I saw that the bun had been toasted with butter, I put it back on and had a couple more bites, but was super disappointed-and trust me nobody loves a great cheeseburger more than I but now I love smash burgers as well!. I also ordered the Orzo cucumber and feta salad (as well as the french fries) on the side and while it was OK, it was nothing special. French fries were just meh. After all the stellar reviews I had I was very surprised that they would make a double cheeseburger and call it a Smash-burger-I wish these restaurants would stop doing that, it's misleading, other restaurants do this too. And for the money I spent, I should've just gone to Shake shack! I DO think it's worth a second chance, and I will say everybody there was very kind on the Service level and it's an adorable, really beautiful spot and vibe ! I strolled around and looked at the merchandise afterwards. So hopefully I'll be back but just super disappointed I didn't have a nice meal and left hungry.

Happened to drive by Ring of Fire Grill and noticed all of the cars parked out front and thought I would give them a try. I have eaten there three times now in less than a month. The food is gooooood and so is their sweet tea! First visit -tried the Reuben Sandwich with fries. It was a perfect Reuben! The Rye bread was fresh and tasty with the perfect ratio of cheese, sauerkraut and corned beef. Served hot with hot crispy crinkle fries that were lightly seasoned. Second visit -tried the Chicken, Bacon & Ranch Wrap with fries. It was served HOT with hot crispy crinkle fries with a side of Ranch to pour over your bites. The wrap was a GENEROUS portion, served cut in half. The grilled chicken was juicy and seasoned perfectly. The wrap has cheese, bacon, grilled chicken, tomatoes, shredded lettuce and onions. The ranch is HOMEMADE and is the best ranch I've had in the area. The sandwich is the best sandwich I've had since coming to the area (Asheboro/Randelman/Ramseur). I've been trying a lot of the locally owned and operated places too. Nobody is even coming close in quality and taste (sandwiches) to Ring of Fire! Third visit, had one of the daily specials. It was a Hibachi Chicken Wrap with fries. Again, the crinkle fries were cooked and seasoned perfectly. The sandwich again was a GENEROUS portion, served hot and cut in half. The wrap had juicy grilled chicken, zucchini, onions, mushrooms, fried rice, and cheese in it. It was served with a white mayonnaise based sauce that was really good. This hibachi wrap is the 2nd best sandwich in the area that I've had so far. The young man behind the counter is super friendly, professional, helpful and I watched him help an elderly lady with her walker to get through the front door which shows he is also KIND. An attribute that is lacking in today's world. Last, I noticed cleanliness. This is a clean and organized restaurant. It's not fancy. All paper, plastic and styrofoam service ware. People who come here return often, some daily. That should tell you something. I forgot to take a picture of the Reuben sandwich, sorry.

There is limited seating inside, and some outside. We sat outside and it was great to eat outdoors in warm air after a long winter. The location is at the very end of a strip mall, near a secondary road. It's not overly bothersome, just be aware that it's not quiet sitting outside. The service was friendly, despite being super busy. She brought our food outside to us when it was ready. We ordered hibachi chicken with rice, chicken with noodles, and chicken tenders with fries. The hibachi chicken and rice was okay 3/5. The noodles get 0/5. The chicken tenders were huge and get a 4/5. This probably explains why all of the locals were eating burgers and all day breakfast (reminder to listen to the locals!) My youngest son said it looked like "a hole in the wall Chinese food place" inside - and he's right. Inside there's stacks of plasticware, napkins, and yum yum sauce next to the grape jelly. It was an okay lunch, but if we came here again we would get something other than hibachi.

Although it's tucked away in an unassuming business district, this restaurant is truly a hidden gem. From the moment we walked in, we were impressed by the warm, inviting space and exceptional service. Everyone made us feel welcome, and the attention to detail throughout our meal was outstanding. We started with the Ahi Tuna appetizer, which was absolutely delicious. It was served over a bed of crisp sliced cucumbers and the most amazing vinegar coleslaw. The combination of flavors was fresh, light, and memorable. Even the warm dinner rolls were outstanding and set the tone for the meal. For our entrées, the meatloaf was everything comfort food should be. It was tender, juicy, and perfectly seasoned, served over creamy mashed potatoes with fresh French green beans. We also ordered the Chef's seasonal Squash Casserole, and it was phenomenal. If it's on the menu when you visit, don't miss it. Milner's way exceeded our expectations: wonderful food, great service, and a welcoming atmosphere made for a memorable evening. We will absolutely make the trip back the next time we're in Winston-Salem.

The interior design is cozy, the staff is friendly, it looks clean. Drink is decent, we had their seasonal mojito, and 2 local beer. For appetizer we shared the seared scallops, large chicken & sausage gumbo. Entree we had vegetable and black rice, Milner shrimp and grits, crab cake (x2 cakes), lamb loin. I personally enjoyed the vegetable and black rice, the flavor blend is perfect for me. My company enjoys the lamb loin, shrimp in shrimp and grit is good but grit is dry. Crab cake is a standard one, but at least it got enough crab in it. Scallops are sear nice but I think if they were taken out a bit longer or the fire temperature is a bit lower, the entire scallop would be cooked evenly instead of seeing the outside is pretty dark but the inside is very raw (I got that it is raw but this is not 30 dollar seared scallop quality). I really would like to go back again but at the same time I think its dish can be a hit or miss base on its price point. One may feel it serves the best meal, one may feel well I pay this much, is my honest opinion of Milner.

Start the meal off right with some Patatas Bravas. Double-fried potatoes with a tasty salsa and garlic aioli. Those went by quick! It's savory with a hint of spice. For the dinner service entrees, the real winner is the Fish and Chips. It's a huge battered haddock fillet over a bed of fries, accompanied by cabbage slaw and tartar sauce. Don't forget the malt vinegar to pair with the fries! The haddock was done perfectly, as it was both crispy and juicy. It was filling, but not over the top. Quality over quantity for sure. The chicken tikka masala is also a nice touch to the menu. A bit different from the rest, but not overly left of field. It was spiced to be flavorful but not overpowering. The chicken was nice and tender. The herb rice was decent, but still paired well as a sidekick to the tikka masala. Feeling desserts? Leave some space for the tuxedo cake. It's very rich and a solid bite to close out the meal. Shoutout to the wonderful waitress who executed everything without an issue. Reservations are recommended. I'll certainly be back.
