Breakfast special for $5.79 when purchased November 2019. Loved the crispy bacon and cheesy eggs. Yummy.

Very good breakfast for a good price. Randleman definitely is lucky to have this restaurant. Very friendly cashier who even asked if I wanted my bacon crispy or floppy. (No one ever asks that but I love crispy bacon.) The eggs were cooked well with a lot of cheese, which I also loved.

All day breakfast!

Despite living in asheboro, we've only visited this gem once. It's 100% a mistake on our part. Each…read moremeal comes with smashed potatoes and slaw--I don't try the slaw (I don't like it...picky eater problems) but my husband said it was fantastic! It had crunch instead of being too wet or too mushy. The smashed potatoes were very good! Potatoes served like that aren't usually my thing but they were delicious and well seasoned. I ordered the shrimp and corn while my husband got the crab cakes. Some places are mostly filling with hints of crab, Full Moon was the opposite--maximum amount of crab with the right amount of "cake". The shrimp was great and perfectly steamed. The corn came out piping hot! The service was fantastic. The seating is mostly bar tops which is cool and allows for the service to be seamless. Honestly it felt like a beach vacation on a Tuesday. Our next visit will be on a Tuesday so I can try the all you can eat crab legs.

Inside is a huge bar and looks like all seating is at the bar. It had a Key West/marine/beach vibe to it and they play great music. The staff was attentive and friendly. Was given their house potatoes and Cole slaw with the Fish n Chips and everything was delicious. Very generous portions, food comes out hot and cooked perfectly. My second visit was just as delightful. Had the Shrimp Boil platter with corn, sausage and garlic toast. It was super yummy! Highly recommend!

It's only available at dinner which is a bummer for those visiting at lunch time! My favorite is the filet with mashed sweet potatoes. The filet has been perfect and juicy each time, served with flaky sea salt. The mashed sweet potatoes are insanely good! My husband has tried the chicken and artichokes dinner as well as a ribeye. Both he enjoyed and the artichokes are a great appetizer. Dessert wise we love the bananas foster! Save room for dessert. Service wise we've had great experiences every time. The servers are attentive without being overwhelming so you can enjoy your meal and a nice conversation.

I'm new to the area and have been visiting places based on advice from the locals. After hearing…read moremany people recommend this place, thought I would drop in for lunch. I started with a glass of Pinot Grigio and a Caesar Side Salad. The salad was overloaded with grated cheese and croutons. The croutons were the tiny, cheap, cubed type that you buy at the grocery store. The dressing tasted store bought as well. Not horrible but just not what I would expect from the recommendations I had received. I would recommend using homemade croutons and dressing and less grated cheese. I then ordered the Beef Carpaccio as my meal and it came out served with slices of French baguette that were not toasted or even freshly baked bread. It was cold. The beef, however, was delicious. Sliced thin and served with a very light caper and olive oil sauce, then topped with some arugula and Parmesan cheese. Very traditional, basic carpaccio. If I were the chef, I'd rethink the presentation of this dish by mixing the oil and caper sauce with the arugula together to make a true salad and add a hint of red wine vinegar, some lemon juice, finely sliced shallots and fresh cracked pepper. Top the beef with the salad, drizzle the beef with more of the dressing, grate FRESH Parmesan cheese on top instead of using store bought shredded cheese, top with micro greens, and use crostini instead of sliced cold baguette to elevate this dish to meet its price point. Service was decent, though it felt like rushed diner/cafe service instead of professional. The ambiance was just ok too. I've been in better chain steak houses. Maybe I had too high of expectations based on the recommendations. This place does have a lot of potential, but not worth the price when they are not using quality ingredients. For the area, it is one of the better restaurants. Asheboro is lacking.

If I could give this place ten stars, I would. You will have a wait when you get there, and you…read morewill wait no matter how long it takes. You cannot find a better place for a meal, or more kind folks running the place from top to bottom. And if your plate is too big to finish, feel free to take it home, because you'll want to save room for dessert. Magnolia 23 is a staple in our household. So long as we've lived within a 30 minute drive, it has been a great place for a Sunday lunch, or any other meal within the hours they are open. They treat you like family from the very start with the way that they take names for the line. It's natural to start a conversation with the people around you, because everyone has the same end game - a great meal. Once you're seated, it's never long before a waitress comes and takes your drink order. The menu for the day is posted on Facebook and written on the board on the wall, along with the sides and dessert options. There's no menus because it's a meat and two sides, plus a bread of either roll or cornbread. The seating is tables and chairs, although some areas have couches for seating, which is a nice change of pace. Today I got stewed beef with sides of mac and cheese, yams, and bread choice was cornbread. My other half got the country style steak, with sides of cabbage and rice with gravy, and bread of cornbread. The littles shared a fried chicken plate with side of mashed potatoes with gravy. They divided and conquered their food so fast I forgot to snag a picture of it. The stewed beef was perfection. So tender, and the juices went well with the cornbread. The yams were expertly spiced, and prepared with so much love. The mac and cheese was delicious, so I offered some to my youngest who promptly stole the rest of it. I did sample the country style steak, and it was so delicious that none was spared. I cannot wait to eat my leftover stewed beef later this week, as I knew I wanted to save room for dessert. We ordered two fried apple pies, and a slice of Hershey bar cake. Be careful with the fried pies - the filling turns into molten lava when heated, so despite the fact that you'll want to take the largest first bite, please be patient and spare your taste buds from their imminent demise by letting it cool a minute. The spices on the apple filling on the fried pies were perfect, and I savored every bite that I stole from my husband. My dessert was the Hershey bar cake, which I split with one of my littles. It didn't have a thick layer of icing, which was great. The cake had a nice crumb, and was sweet without being overly sweet. If you haven't been here yet, make sure to take note of their hours and then take a trip to Asheboro. Once you've finished your meal, feel free to take a stroll around downtown and know that you've just had the best meal around. Magnolia 23 is worth the price and worth the wait, because you will be blessed by the whole experience.

Magnolia 23 used to be good, which makes our experience tonight all the more disappointing. We…read morespent $50 on a meal that none of us particularly wanted to eat, and the decline in quality was hard to overlook. My husband ordered the country fried steak, which appeared to be made from low quality ground beef and was covered in thick, gelatinous gravy. My daughter's chicken pie looked and tasted like it had been sitting around for days. It was dried out, bland, and had an unpleasant, almost gritty texture. My chicken and dumplings were passable, but only after adding enough hot sauce to give them some flavor. The sides tasted like they came straight from a can, and the rolls seemed no different from something you could pull out of the grocery store freezer section. I understand that operating a small, independent restaurant is challenging, particularly when costs are rising and customers have less disposable income. I genuinely want places like Magnolia 23 to succeed. But cutting corners on food quality while continuing to charge prices that represent a meaningful expense for a family is not a sustainable solution. What bothered me most wasn't any single dish. It was the overall impression that quality and value are no longer priorities. This didn't feel like a kitchen having an off night. It felt like a fundamental change in what the restaurant is serving. The dining room was nearly empty, and unfortunately, after tonight, I can understand why. When families choose to spend $50 eating out, they deserve a meal that feels worth the expense. We certainly didn't get that tonight. I hope Magnolia 23 can find its way back to what made it good in the first place. I'd much rather support a local restaurant than a chain, but supporting local businesses shouldn't mean accepting poor quality food at a premium.

We started with the spinach dip and everyone loved it. It came with these toasted bread bites that had a great seasoning and crunch to them. They kind of reminded me of an everything bagel but as a bread bite. This paired really nicely with the hot spinach dip. They also have a ton of coffee and tea options. I was a little bummed that did not have fountain sodas. My sister got a smoothie and really liked it. For my entree I got the Italian flatbread. It was a really nice combination of flavors with the sausage and peppers. I sampled my boyfriend's flatbread (pickled) and thought it was great as well! They have a large variety of options, perfect for a group like my family with different tastes. Everyone enjoyed it and agreed we'd have to come back when in the area!

Brewskie's offerings are quite expansive, with a HUGE selection of flatbreads, wraps, quesadillas,…read moresides, smoothies, coffees, teas, as well as, much to my confusion, cosmetic treatments such as facials, waxes, and massages. I really didn't know what to make of it all, and worried the food wouldn't be very good, since their focus seemed split in several directions. However, I tried several different things on the menu, and most of them did not disappoint. We split a Green Bacon Flatbread and Cajun Chicken Quesadilla, and I also got a side of mac and cheese and a strawberry smoothie. The flatbread was pretty good, although it did JUST taste like bacon. I ate it with ranch, which they do well. I suspect their other flatbreads (which they have a LOT of) are less one-note, but I'll never know, because I would just order this one again. The quesadilla was great, and the chicken was well-seasoned. They also season the outside of the tortilla, and I appreciated the extra kick of flavor. This came with sour cream and a salsa verde. The mac and cheese was mild, creamy, and chock full of pepper. Usually I like a sharper cheese flavor, but I enjoyed it. Smoothies were extremely cheap (under $5 for a 16 oz), but unfortunately we got what we paid for. They were wayyyy too sweet for our tastes, and not a lot of any fruit flavors came through. Our server was kind, attentive, and quick. The interior was very spacious and I noticed several people with laptops out doing work while they drank coffee. It's a nice space.
