This place fell off so bad, food was awful. I won't be back. This place used to be really good, I don't know what happened.

Happened to drive by Ring of Fire Grill and noticed all of the cars parked out front and thought I would give them a try. I have eaten there three times now in less than a month. The food is gooooood and so is their sweet tea! First visit -tried the Reuben Sandwich with fries. It was a perfect Reuben! The Rye bread was fresh and tasty with the perfect ratio of cheese, sauerkraut and corned beef. Served hot with hot crispy crinkle fries that were lightly seasoned. Second visit -tried the Chicken, Bacon & Ranch Wrap with fries. It was served HOT with hot crispy crinkle fries with a side of Ranch to pour over your bites. The wrap was a GENEROUS portion, served cut in half. The grilled chicken was juicy and seasoned perfectly. The wrap has cheese, bacon, grilled chicken, tomatoes, shredded lettuce and onions. The ranch is HOMEMADE and is the best ranch I've had in the area. The sandwich is the best sandwich I've had since coming to the area (Asheboro/Randelman/Ramseur). I've been trying a lot of the locally owned and operated places too. Nobody is even coming close in quality and taste (sandwiches) to Ring of Fire! Third visit, had one of the daily specials. It was a Hibachi Chicken Wrap with fries. Again, the crinkle fries were cooked and seasoned perfectly. The sandwich again was a GENEROUS portion, served hot and cut in half. The wrap had juicy grilled chicken, zucchini, onions, mushrooms, fried rice, and cheese in it. It was served with a white mayonnaise based sauce that was really good. This hibachi wrap is the 2nd best sandwich in the area that I've had so far. The young man behind the counter is super friendly, professional, helpful and I watched him help an elderly lady with her walker to get through the front door which shows he is also KIND. An attribute that is lacking in today's world. Last, I noticed cleanliness. This is a clean and organized restaurant. It's not fancy. All paper, plastic and styrofoam service ware. People who come here return often, some daily. That should tell you something. I forgot to take a picture of the Reuben sandwich, sorry.

How many quaint, down home places do you know where you can order hibachi made to order, hotdogs,…read morePhilly steak, BLT, or all day breakfast?! AND they have a drive-thru! There is limited seating inside, and some outside. We sat outside and it was great to eat outdoors in warm air after a long winter. The location is at the very end of a strip mall, near a secondary road. It's not overly bothersome, just be aware that it's not quiet sitting outside. The service was friendly, despite being super busy. She brought our food outside to us when it was ready. We ordered hibachi chicken with rice, chicken with noodles, and chicken tenders with fries. The hibachi chicken and rice was okay 3/5. The noodles get 0/5. The chicken tenders were huge and get a 4/5. This probably explains why all of the locals were eating burgers and all day breakfast (reminder to listen to the locals!) My youngest son said it looked like "a hole in the wall Chinese food place" inside - and he's right. Inside there's stacks of plasticware, napkins, and yum yum sauce next to the grape jelly. It was an okay lunch, but if we came here again we would get something other than hibachi.

I am glad I finally came in and tried this place as it will probably be added to my lunch break…read morerotation. They have a really great $7.99 Monday through Friday lunch special that I will be using exclusively from now on as I don't believe their regular prices are worth what you get. I spent roughly 15$ today for a hibachi combo and the taste and quality doesn't match the price. I didn't find my chicken as dry and chewy as some of the other helpers, but I did find the steak to be dry, bland, and overcooked. They didn't ask me what temp I wanted it. The meat pieces are cut so small that it would be almost impossible not to over cook it. I really liked the way the zucchini and onions were cut and cooked but I wish there was more. I was also disappointed that it wasn't an authentic fried rice with veggies and egg but a tamer blander option that only has corn sparingly. This is typical of a lot of southern towns as the common people don't like to eat their peas. I was delighted to find that they had the option of ginger sauce (not to be confused with ginger dressing) but it was more on the sugary side and less on the gingery side. Overall it satisfied my craving for Japanese food but again I wouldn't want to pay their regular menu pricing for it. It is definitely worth the $8 lunch special price.

Quality has mostly stayed the same for the last 10 years and while the prices have gone up its still a good deal. Many hibachi places fail to do the bare minimum Sapporos has been doing for years. I finally tried it and so glad I did!…read more First and foremost, the place is clean which is extremely important to me. Items I tried: crunchy roll and steak noodles that includes veggies and also comes with a soup or salad. I choose salad with ginger dressing. Pros - clean establishment - sushi was absolutely delicious - my steak was cooked to perfection. They made it exactly how I asked for it - ginger dressing is absolutely delicious - large portions. Enough for at least 3 meals Cons - my friend and I were not greeted when we first came in. I noticed that most others said in their review that the staff greeted them and were very friendly. We were not greeted. In fact, I had to speak first. I pay attention to things like this. - white sauce is not good to me at all. It is not the usual white sauce flavor you get at other hibachi establishments. I am returning soon and will try a couple new things and update this review of necessary. UPDATE: I've gone back 2 more times. Excellent customer service, great sushi, the white sauce was a little bit better, but still not my thing...too thick...too sweet...too much mayo. Springs rolls are gd. Crab rangoon gd.

We were not disappointed! Amazing food. Like every single thing we get is just SO good. From the sushi, to the bang bang, to the sauces, to the rice, to the sesame chicken... you get the point. Even the Pepsi is excellent. The only downsides of this place is that it's a mostly serve yourself atmosphere after you get your meal. It would be nice if they included just a little one time check in to see if sauces or anything is needed. The floors are also SUPER slippery which is tough for disability flare ups. The service at the counter is friendly enough, and the options are great. I do wish we could have a little flexibility in the choose 3 meal plan, but I get it. Honestly the food is just so stellar it makes up for the rest and makes us keep coming back.

It's been a long long time since my last review of Shinko Grill, and really everything I wrote has…read moreexperienced some kind of change, so I wanted to update it for the post pandemic era. Since then, the half price sushi hours are no longer in effect, replaced with more standardized lunch specials and combinations. Three basic rolls for x, two specialty rolls for x, etc... as well as specials on hot food and the like. Due to this, I just haven't found myself there very often, and until my experience last week it had probably been two or three years honestly. We came during lunch hours on a Saturday. The lunch specials are good every day, not just weekdays, so that is a good thing. Ordering was simple enough, still done at the counter, given a number, go have a seat. Drinks still self-serve, no wait staff or the like which is totally fine. We ordered a general tso's chicken combination with fried rice and an egg roll, a basic two roll combination of sweet potato tempura and Ro Roll, and a two speciality roll combination that I honestly cannot remember the specific names of. There were also crab rangoons. My first area of dismay, even though we were eating there, everything came in to-go containers creating a ton of trash and waste. Plastic utensils, cups, everything. This was not the case in the past. I guess they've done the financial math that it's cheaper than dishwashing, but it's terrible for our environment. It would have been better if things even came combined on paper plates than this. As to the food, we were disappointed. Nothing other than the sushi and maybe soup appears to be made there, definitely true for all fried things. Rangoons came with plain duck sauce. Egg rolls the size of your index finger. Sushi wise, the sweet potato tempura roll was the best of the bunch. The fish tasted fine, nothing off putting there, but also nothing pleasant. The flavor combos just didn't make me want to eat more... and they were all crammed into to-go sushi trays with dry horseradish ("wasabi") It is not common for me to leave sushi pieces for the trash, but I did this time. Ultimately, the things that used to draw me here just didn't seem to be in place. But the price isn't bad at all. If you are more concerned with value, and don't mind some of the things I listed above, this place could work for you.

Most of them are wearing sweatpants and T-shirts, which is just different; however, they work, and they have employees, which is difficult nowadays. The facilities are extremely clean. They had a good sanitation rating. I cannot recall what it is. The imp important thing to know is if you do not eat all your rolls, they will charge you a dollar per piece that you do not eat, including if you leave the rice when you order sushi. Then they can contribute a portion of that money to the No Child Goes Hungry charity, which I think is pretty cool. I am actually thinking about going there again for dinner tonight, which would be two nights in a row. The total for the sushi, two beers, and a tip was right at $40, which I think is very reasonable.

Mr. Tokyo is a solid choice if you're craving all you can eat sushi. Depending on when you go,…read morethere's usually a wait for a table, but it's hard to beat the value for the price. They have a decent selection of appetizers, nigiri, specialty rolls, and other items, so it's fun being able to try a little bit of everything instead of committing to just a few rolls. The sushi is good for an all you can eat restaurant. I've definitely had better quality sushi elsewhere, but considering how much food you get, I really can't complain. One thing I'd recommend is ordering everything you think you'll want in your first round. There's a 90-minute time limit, and once your initial order comes out, the server doesn't check back very often. They do charge $1 for every leftover piece, but if you're with a group, it's usually not hard to finish everything. If you're just looking to satisfy a sushi craving without breaking the bank, Mr. Tokyo is definitely worth checking out!
