We used to come here almost every weekend but lately the last few weeks it is always something. Whether our order keeps coming wrong or really long wait times. We got there over 30 min before they closed today. They close @2pm on Sunday we got there about 1:20ish. The manager walked by and said they would seat us in just a second. Then a lady came over and said they are already closing everything. My son was real disappointed as we just wanted a couple of sandwiches and fries. I believe we will find a new regular spot.

Such an awesome addition to my hometown of Wallburg! Our waitress was a doll and the food was delicious! Everyone practiced social distancing, including being seated at every other table and all the waitresses were wearing masks. The price on my bill wasn't bad either, looking forward to the next trip!!

Fair at best and only because the waitress was nice. Food is okay. This is not a true bbq place.

I got the sliced beef sandwich combo with slaw, okra, and sweet tea. My mom just wanted peach cobbler and okra, and we added potato salad and banana pudding for ourselves. Everything was fresh and full of flavor. The pulled pork was tender and not dry. My sliced beef was juicy and seasoned well. The hushpuppies were good, crispy outside, soft inside. The fried okra was cooked right and not greasy. The potato salad surprised me in a good way, it had slices of bacon in it, which was different but actually really good. The banana pudding was good and creamy, and the peach cobbler was good too. Portions are generous. It's a lot of food for the price and definitely worth it. Service was good,we were in and out. No long wait. The ambience was good too. Nice spot, plenty of parking, easy to pull in and grab the food. No complaints at all when it comes to the service or the atmosphere. Overall, solid food, good service, good atmosphere. We'd definitely go back.

Unfortunately when I arrived at 5:30 both were already sold out. I went with sliced brisket, collard greens and Gouda Mac & Cheese. Everything was excellent! Good smoke ring on the brisket, meat was very juicy and not dry. Only complaint would be that I prefer the stems removed from my collards, not a deal breaker, just my preference. All of the BBQ sauces were excellent as well. The atmosphere was awesome, loved the old vintage hometown feel. Can't wait for my next visit, I will arrive earlier to try and get the daily specials!

The service was great with everyone there being super helpful and sweet to us first-timers. We ordered 1/4lb beef brisket (only my brother had that and really loved it!), sauced chicken wings, turkey sandwich with potato salad as a side, pulled pork sandwich with fries, and Smoked Gouda Mac&Cheese. Everything was delicious, especially the fries, turkey sandwich, Mac&Cheese, and the wings!! The place has a very warm atmosphere and we saw a lot of families enjoying their meals. Overall a great stop for anyone wanting to try Barbecue in the Triad area.

Our server was warm, attentive, and seemed to anticipate what we needed before we asked. The space has that familiar barbecue joint look. Nothing fancy, just comfortable and family friendly. Noise level sat right in the middle, lively but not overwhelming, and no one rushed us even as we lingered, laughed, and took more photos than necessary. I ordered the Pitmaster Plate with North Carolina chopped barbecue. You can choose sliced, chunky, or chopped. The pork was tender, flavorful, and exactly the slightly vinegary flavor I love. I added collard greens, coleslaw, and sweet potato casserole. The greens had a slight kick but were balanced. The coleslaw was fresh and necessary alongside the barbecue. The sweet potato casserole was easily the standout side. The only drawback is portioning on the sides. They are a bit small, especially if you are planning leftovers. I went in hoping to stretch this into multiple meals and almost made it. Still worth it, just manage expectations. Also worth noting, bread does not come with the plate, so I added rolls. My total came to about $31 with the automatic gratuity for larger groups, and I added a little extra. For the quality, service, and portion of barbecue, that feels more than fair. Everything was consistently good, and the experience made it even better. Great spot for groups, easygoing, and welcoming. I will be back. Back to the kitchen they went. My main dish was the brisket sandwich and honestly I don't know what kind of glued meat was on that bread but it wasn't smoked brisket. The Mac and cheese and cole slaw were great though. The service from our waitress was great, though the fellas at the hostess stand are a bit all over the place and don't exercise detailed thinking in seating. Piling people together while open seats for better experiences are available. I won't be back but if a retirement home had a field trip this could be a pit stop.

We were seated upstairs in a front corner room, that was very cramped, and crowded with other tables, and apparently to make it possible to fit as many tables as they had, they were incredibly narrow. My wife and I went with another couple, and the tables were so small, the entire time, our we were bumping knees with our friends...very awkward. Additionally the front room tables don't have any of the vintage gaming systems that we've come to enjoy playing on past visits. Waitstaff were ok, but again, not as outgoing, or attentive as past visits. I honestly feel this front room is easily forgotten by even the staff. On this visit I got the brisket with hushpuppies as a side. The brisket was good, I do wish I'd gotten a different side, the hushpuppies were good, but got heavy after a bit, and made me feel a bit sluggish. In general, from past experience, the food is always great, and so is the service. I'll chock this visit up to bad day, I'm sure i'll be back to give them another try

I had the chicken fried chicken with sawmill gravy over mashed (the mashed taste boxed) but the gravy is very good. My daughter got the N.C. pulled pork and it was nice- very tender, good flavor. My husband got the burger- the chili was nice on it, but I found the burger itself to be small and nothing special. For the sides we had a ton of hush puppies, Mac and cheese AND Mac and cheese bites, the mashed (meh), Brunswick stew, baked beans and fries. The fries were a cut above the usual offering, really crisp and well seasoned. The stew was nice and the Mac and cheese was good both in the traditional way and the fried bites. I LOVE hush puppies and theirs are done in little rings which was different and good. We also tried three desserts- the pecan cheesecake, chocolate cobbler and banana pudding. The chocolate cobbler was the star to me, really rich and delicious like a half cooked brownie, topped with ice cream it was very delicious. The cheesecake tasted real and was nice but the praline topping was too sweet for me. The banana pudding was a nice version, very classic. The dessert prices are good for the portions you get too. This wasn't the best bbq I've had in the area but it was an enjoyable meal with a good value.
