We used to come here almost every weekend but lately the last few weeks it is always something. Whether our order keeps coming wrong or really long wait times. We got there over 30 min before they closed today. They close @2pm on Sunday we got there about 1:20ish. The manager walked by and said they would seat us in just a second. Then a lady came over and said they are already closing everything. My son was real disappointed as we just wanted a couple of sandwiches and fries. I believe we will find a new regular spot.

    yummy!!!!

Such an awesome addition to my hometown of Wallburg! Our waitress was a doll and the food was delicious! Everyone practiced social distancing, including being seated at every other table and all the waitresses were wearing masks. The price on my bill wasn't bad either, looking forward to the next trip!!

Fair at best and only because the waitress was nice. Food is okay. This is not a true bbq place.

My son and I were in Winston-Salem for the International Black Theatre Festival with Visit Winston,…read moreand when I learned we had free time for lunch, one recommendation immediately caught my attention. Between the rave reviews and the beautifully designed space, I knew this would be our stop. The first thing I noticed when we arrived was that the parking lot was on the smaller side, but any concern disappeared the moment we checked in. The hostess greeted us warmly, asked for my license plate so she could validate our parking, and had us seated almost immediately. It was such a thoughtful touch and set the tone for the experience. On the way to our table, I couldn't help but notice the inviting patio, perfect for lingering over lunch on a beautiful day. That said, I had reserved an indoor table, and I'm glad I did. The dining room is intimate, stylish, and effortlessly chic. It's the kind of restaurant that feels equally suited for a catch-up with friends as it does for a date night. The tables are close together, creating a lively atmosphere, so it's worth keeping that in mind if you prefer a little more privacy. Our server, Aundria, made an already wonderful experience even better. She was warm, attentive, and knew the menu inside and out. It was also refreshing to see the entire team working together so seamlessly, with everyone stepping in to help one another throughout the meal. I ordered the lobster roll with shoestring fries, and it absolutely lived up to the hype. The lobster was fresh, buttery, and generously portioned, making it one of those dishes I'd happily order again. Before we left, I asked Aundria what she reaches for when she dines there. Without hesitation, she recommended the Korean Beef Bowl, which has already earned a spot on my list for my next visit. As if the experience couldn't have ended on a sweeter note, it started raining just as we were leaving. The hostess grabbed an umbrella and walked me to my car, a simple gesture that perfectly reflected the hospitality we experienced from start to finish. Great food is memorable, but genuine hospitality is what keeps me coming back. This restaurant delivered both, and it's officially earned a place on my list of Winston-Salem favorites.

The "Korean Beef Bowl" came with about a cup of each beef, rice, cucumbers and maybe 1/4th of an avocado for $24. This looked and tasted like a $14 dollar plate at best (seriously, no kimchi even in a Korean bowl?); I left hungry. My wife got the Thai coconut curry, $30 bucks which included an $8 up charge for chicken, in which there were maybe 8 paper thin slices. The curry part was non existent both in volume and in taste. There was barely any sauce, very bland, and it essentially tasted like unseasoned noodles and vegetables. I would gladly come back for a happy hour and enjoy their other drink options and appetizers, but I just cannot justify paying the exorbitant prices for how mediocre the food ultimately was. I wish I had taken a picture of the food to add weight to the review but it was so lackluster looking that it just was not worth photographing in the moment.

It closed in early February for what were supposed to be renovations, only to reopen months later with a new name and a new concept, trading slightly upscale Southern for more upscale Italian. In some regards, this makes sense - it fills a void created by the closure of Lulu and Blu - but in other ways, it's a massive gamble. My wife and I went for our anniversary dinner, and while it was an overall pleasant experience, it also made us miss Magnolia. The higher price point is the chief culprit. Otto and Blue offers pastas in the $20s and entrees starting in the $30s, bread and olive oil not included. While we were celebrating an occasion that merited such a splurge, it's hard to imagine the restaurant remaining competitive at those prices once the sheen of newness wears off. Look past that, however, and Otto and Blue shines in both ambiance and service. It's classy without being stuffy, and the dark turquoise tones suit it well. Allison, a Magnolia Blue mainstay, was personable and attentive and provided excellent service throughout the meal. Otto and Blue's menu offers apps, salads, pastas, and entrees. It's predominantly Italian albeit with a few options for the steak-and-potatoes crowd. The dishes range from recognizably classic (rigatoni Bolognese) to conspicuously elevated (halibut piccatta). After mulling over several offerings, we went with the bread service, tagliatelle, and duck cacciatore. The food ranged from fairly good to outstanding. While $9 for bread is a tough pill to swallow, they executed it as well as they possibly could have: a hot, fresh ciabatta with tasty herb butter, olive relish, and a quality olive oil-balsamic combo as accompaniments. The cacciatore boasted a pair of duck legs confit, and while I'm usually no fan of dark meat poultry, these were prepared well with crispy skin and plenty of meat. For a typically hearty dish, the sauce seemed light (and a bit subdued), but that could be a consequence of serving atop polenta (more absorbent) rather than pasta. Speaking of pastas and sauces, the tagliatelle hit a nice balance of creamy and zesty without swimming in its white wine lemon sauce. Surprisingly, the highlight of the meal ended up being the dessert that Otto and Blue kindly offered as an anniversary gift. A scoop of vanilla bean gelato came adorned with a Biscoff cookie, a drizzle of olive oil, and a dash of salt. If salt and especially olive oil on ice cream seem vaguely blasphemous, don't knock it until you try it. Each bite was thoroughly delicious. It's a given that good food doesn't come cheap, but even so, Otto and Blue has no margin for error to justify what it charges. On food alone, it was close but not quite there. However, the overall experience made it worthwhile, and I have no regrets about dining here.

The service was impeccable. The chicken and waffles looked delightful as well. It feels welcoming, relaxed, and unlike your typical burger place. You can tell this isn't a chain restaurant, it's a place with character. Our server, Hannah, was absolutely fantastic. She greeted us with a smile, knew the menu inside and out, made great recommendations, checked on us throughout the meal, and somehow managed to be attentive without hovering. Great service can make or break an experience, and she absolutely made ours even better. We started with the Brisket Tots, and wow...these are a MUST order. Crispy tater tots covered with tender smoked brisket, creamy beer cheese, scallions, parmesan, and chipotle lime aioli. Every bite was loaded with flavor, and honestly, this appetizer could have been a meal all by itself. The drinks were just as impressive. I started with a perfectly made Manhattan, then switched to a Long Island Iced Tea that was properly strong without tasting overpowering. My husband ordered an Apple Tini, and we even had a funny moment when our drinks almost got switched at the table. We topped it all off by sharing a tequila shot together, making it the perfect way to kick off our date night. For dinner, I ordered the Jam Session Burger, and hubby ordered the Black & Blue Burger. Both burgers were cooked perfectly, juicy, and piled high with fresh toppings. My burger had incredible flavor with bacon, grilled onions, pepper jack cheese, bacon jam, and just the right balance of sweet and savory. Hubby loved the Black & Blue! The portions were incredibly generous. Between the Brisket Tots and our burgers, we were completely stuffed and ended up taking nearly half of our food home. That's always a bonus because lunch the next day was just as good. Before we left, Hannah recommended the Peanut Butter Cheesecake, and I'm so glad I listened. Rich, creamy, decadent, and the perfect ending to an already amazing meal. Everything about this place was on point. The food arrived hot and beautifully presented. The cocktails were excellent. The restaurant was clean, the atmosphere was fun, and the service never slowed down even though they were busy. My husband even ran into an old coworker while we were there, which made the evening even more memorable. The prices were very reasonable for the quality of the food and the portion sizes. You can tell they put pride into what they serve, and it shows. Whether you're looking for an amazing burger, smoked brisket, handcrafted cocktails, a casual date night, or just a fun place to unwind after work, Frady's absolutely delivers. We'll definitely be back, and next time we're bringing friends.

We've been a few times but I've been too busy eating to do pictures or a review in the past. Tonight, I had a craving for a good burger and knew Frady's would hook me up. Despite the restaurant being packed, we were seated within a few minutes of arrival, and greeted with a smile. Service was kind and prompt our entire visit. I started off with a glass of whiskey, which is a nice treat since they have a comprehensive and fairly priced list of options. It's a nice way to try something (especially among the allocated options) that you might not have at home. For food, we got the Frady's ultimate cheeseburger and the All-American cheeseburger. Both were huge, served fresh, and fantastic. They really use fresh high-quality meat here and it shows. My wife also had had a side salad which was delicious and fresh, and I enjoyed the perfectly crispy tots. I've never had a disappointing meal here, and continue to recommend it to friends. They could use a larger location (a good problem to have because their popularity is well-earned) but otherwise I have nothing but praise!

Grilled chicken , fresh veggies, tzatziki on a grilled pita. Lots of filling and I got the house made chips . They don't give a side with sandwiches, looks like they are all à la carte. $1.50 wasnt a bad price though. Loved my pita I would only suggest maybe they grill the onions and instead of fresh. Loved the chips as they were dry and not oily . Served with ranch. My friend ordered the walnut chicken salad sandwich. Then realized when she got it it's full of onions which she could not eat. She felt bad for having not asked when she ordered it. Our server was so nice to see if they could trade it out and they did with zero fuss. It making her feel bad. She opted for the cheese burger. Which she loved and came out looking great. Very fresh with all the trimmings in a nice big bun. She said she's definitely get that again. Pay at the counter and I was pleased it wasn't a lunch that cost more than $15. With tip. Great spot and shame on me for but coming here earlier! Definitely added to my lunch rotation.
