I came to yelp to check the time they opened this morning and saw someone else say they weren't greeted. I've been many times and that has never been the experience I've had. And the food!! Oh my gravyI've got celiac and have to eat gluten free and I've never been sick- and I've always been so satisfied. I love the banana bread and pumpkin muffins. The coffee and matcha are top tier!! We had lunch at Seagrove Cafe back in November when we attended the Celebration of Seagrove Potters. I decided then that I'd be back, so when my daughters asked where I wanted to go for my birthday it was an easy choice. I mean, what a unique opportunity to dine, within walking distance of several working pottery shops! Here's what we had: Cinnamon Toast Crunch latte, S'mores latte, Brown sugar shaken espresso. All delicious! Details: The coffee beans are from Foster Hobbs Coffee Roasters. The majority of the cafe sauces and powders used in their lattes are house-made because their values include having good ingredients in their food and drinks. My personal favorite is the cinnamon roll and I got it as my "birthday cake". Fun right?! Always so good! I recommend the Egg, cheese, and bacon biscuit. You can get flavorful protein and a filling meal in this breakfast sandwich. Pumpkin protein gluten-free and dairy-free is packed with protein and a warm inviting taste. Pairs well with a latte! Blueberry muffin, it's hard to go wrong with a muffin filled with blueberries. The surprise of the day was the Chicken Salad Wrap. Spinach wrap with a healthy serving of lettuce and the yummiest chicken salad! Seagrove Cafe is a great locally owned spot that serves the community and the many visitors that come through the area looking for some of the best pottery in the world! This gas station turned cafe is decorated to provide a warm inviting atmosphere where you can stay awhile or take a meal or with good ingredients to go. The cutest little cafe right off of the beaten path. We passed through on our way to South Carolina, and I'm so glad we did! I ordered an hot Americano with brown sugar syrup and oat milk. It was very tasty! They have a big selection of homemade bakery items including some that are vegan/gluten! The pumpkin protein muffins are delicious! They also have fridges full of cold drinks, and other snack items! The cafe itself is very welcoming, and decorated very cutely! There's plenty of seating for meetings or dates, and the staff there were super friendly! I love checking out coffee shops while vacationing and this was a great find! This was a fun stop because of how many potters in town for the conference landed here for lunch! I snagged a small broccoli, cheese and bacon quiche and a cheddar biscuit. I took a seat and dug in- food was very yummy and I was grateful that it was more than I could finish right then- but leftover for later was great! That biscuit was really good. I finished late at night, nestled under a blanket in my airbnb. The quiche- hmmmm, very yummy. I wish they heated items for you- but there is a microwave on a cart in the dining room. Fairly quickly those in the dining room started chatting about the conference and trading contact info and stories. Great gathering space! I visited yesterday, a Sunday. There were 2 employees there, both young ladies. Neither of them bothered to greet me, much less make me feel warm and welcome. There was no one else in the place. I looked around, didn't feel comfortable enough to ask any questions, and left. If my experience had been different, I may have stayed and spent money there. Based on the name, I thought this place was going to have a menu. It didn't; it's a case of grab-and-go food coupled with custom made drinks. This little place is so cute and well decorated and the employees nice, but the food leaves much to be desired. I had the chicken salad wrap which comes on a spinach flat bread and was around $9. What was served to me was a wrap with brown squishy lettuce, about a couple of teaspoons of chicken salad spread so thinly I had to look to see what was actually on it...skimpy, like a spoiled lettuce with mayo wrap...I didn't try the baked goods, which I hear is pretty good, but I won't be back for food at this place. although quite small, this establishment (in a renovated service station) was immaculate. the flooring was rough, and on angles from drains. If you are from the west coast, you may expect the prices. For $9.00 I got a lettuce wrap with maybe a tablespoon of chicken salad. I believe the total weight was 5.4 oz. The food is already prepared, and sandwiches in brown cardboard boxes so you don't see what you are getting. $14.00 for a lettuce sandwich seasoned with chicken salad, and a drink is a little too pricey for me. read more

They had cold sandwiches--we had a basic egg salad (with lots of dijon mustard--too much) and a turkey wrap (more tortilla than filling--needed more meat), plus chips and drinks. They have quite a variety of probiotic sodas if you like those. The lone employee was nice and helpful. It was very clean inside, and bright and airy with a wall that was all windows. We wouldn't go back there for lunch, but getting a snack or breakfast pastry plus coffee would be good. read more

All I have to say is, I wish I lived closer. Everything, and I mean everything, has been delicious. Their coffee and lattes, iced chai, brownies, scones, cold plates, and especially their cinnamon rolls are worth the 30 minute drive to Seagrove Cafe. I love that they offer packages of their cinnamon rolls as well to take home. The place is gorgeous! The high ceilings and decor make you just want to sit, hang out, and have a coffee or brunch date. Their staff is great too. They have answered all of my questions and requests to make my drinks a little less sweet than standard, and were so kind when my girls spilled their milk at the register. They jumped into action and cleaned up for us when I asked for some napkins. I'm so glad this place opened in the heart of pottery town in Seagrove, NC. It's the PERFECT addition. read more

Staff is exceptionally friendly and attentive. The iced vanilla latte and hot mocha are exactly what we needed. Bacon egg and cheese biscuit with strawberry jam is delicious. Ham spinach and tomato quiche is fantastic. Chicken salad wrap is great. Carrot cake with cream cheese frosting is just right and not too sweet. Cinnamon rolls are also perfectly cooked. We stopped at this restaurant because it got great reviews on Yelp. It is true that it is a cute place, but it is not a restaurant. It is a coffee shop with a few prepackaged sandwiches and salads. We should have walked out as it was not the type of food we were looking for. We purchased two chicken salad sandwhiches and a pasta salad. They were pricey. The sandwiches did not have a lot of meat on them. The pasta salad was mediocre. Service was not great. The owner? was too busy talking about the baby in her arms with regulars to pay attention to other customers. The barista was not friendly. Very disappointed. read more

First off the staff that works here is amazing, they listen to what you ask and make what ever you ask them to without making you feel stupid or brushing you off for the next person who knows what they want. Second, the coffee is always good I've never ever had a coffee that I could not drink! As well as the tea! Third the food, THE FOOD!!!!!! Is so delicious! Traveling to Seagrove to shop the many skilled pottery artisans has been a great pass time for me. On my last visit I stopped at the Seagrove Cafe that opened in Nov 2023. The parking lot was packed which is always a good sign. I tried their salad sampler that had egg salad, chicken salad and pimento cheese. They were all the best I had ever eaten. For the people who will be visiting the Seagrove potters I strongly recommend they stop at this cafe and enjoy some real good food! read more
