So I opted for a Smashburger after asking how they liked it and she said it was "delicious". Well, it's not a Smashburger. It's a double burger on a nothing special bun. I was going to take the bun off and eat it with a knife and fork, and I was looking for those yummy crispy edges on a authentic Smashburger. They didn't exist. This was a double cheeseburger with very thick patties. I think they were grass fed so kudos to them for that,, but it was incredibly dry sadly, and when I saw that the bun had been toasted with butter, I put it back on and had a couple more bites, but was super disappointed-and trust me nobody loves a great cheeseburger more than I but now I love smash burgers as well!. I also ordered the Orzo cucumber and feta salad (as well as the french fries) on the side and while it was OK, it was nothing special. French fries were just meh. After all the stellar reviews I had I was very surprised that they would make a double cheeseburger and call it a Smash-burger-I wish these restaurants would stop doing that, it's misleading, other restaurants do this too. And for the money I spent, I should've just gone to Shake shack! I DO think it's worth a second chance, and I will say everybody there was very kind on the Service level and it's an adorable, really beautiful spot and vibe ! The eggs were green and rotten. The cucumbers were cracking and dry tasted like they have been cut up for a week. The hamburger steak was so dry it tasted reheated in a microwave. Even the bread and taco shells were so hard they had to be out of date or sitting on a counter open All week. It is hard to mess up a half gallon of tea and it may have been good when it was put in the bottle but that had to be a week or two ago. In all reality this food may have tasted fine (last week). Then I give them a chance to fix it. I go back to the location and the door is locked they close at 8 and it's 5 after. We'll I finally get someone on the phone and Miranda is kind and assures me they will take care of it. Well then I here the cook in the background hollering that we are closed and he can't make the replacements I requested which is horrible customer service. At the time we hadn't tried any of the other food but noticed the obvious. We spent a lot of money on 5 meals plus tip and get offered to remake a salad which was our original complaint because we could see molded eggs on it. After telling them we threw out everything except the spaghetti for my daughter they must have thought I was kidding but I'm not and have pictures to prove it. Let's just say next time I will stick to Kidd's dinner for diner since they had to save the day.
