These savvy businesses owners have proven time and again their dedication to the craft of quality specialty coffee. Their adorable shop has ample interior and exterior seating. They offer a variety of signature drink from coffee to matcha latte's to Italian soda's and hot chocolate as well as a rotating seasonal menu. Situated behind an Italian restaurant, Bold Coffee is easy to miss unless you are looking for it. If you are able to find it, however, you will be glad that you did as it offers just about everything you'd want from a local coffee shop. Friendly baristas? Check. Interesting seasonal drinks? Check. Unique atmosphere (industrial but with a bunch of greenery and lots of comfortable seating)? Check. I had a Strawberry Fields (brown sugar latte topped with strawberry cold foam), and it was an excellent pick-me-up after walking around the zoo. I befriended the barista! And that's what you do right- young lady who was just fun to talk to. I tried the seasonal blueberry muffin latte the first day and my grandson video called me while I was sitting there. The barista asked if that was my grandson and I promptly showed pictures of my 2 grandbabies! She teased that I didn't look like a grandma! I returned nice and early on Friday again and tried another latte- both were delicious and I loved the space! I got to sit and relax Thursday, but rushed in and out Friday so I could get to my conference and I was sad Saturday that they opened later- so I couldn't stop in one last time! Pumpkin meets Mocha and other fall flavors! We've been visiting Bold COFFEE CO. for three years now. It's got a cozy laid back vibe with space to visit or work indoors or in their outdoor seating area. We tried: 1.  the basic- your go-to pumpkin spice latte. You can never go wrong with this latte! 1.  stick season- an iced toffee and cinnamon latte topped with maple cold foam and more cinnamon. This is my favorite flavor combo and Bold does it so well! Highly recommend! 1.  pumpkin meets mocha - the dark pumpkin latte. It's as good as it sounds! ‍‍ Seagrove Cafe, Bold carries some of the baked goods from the Cafe. I tried the Cheddar Biscuit. It's so good with generous portions. Definitely check them out too. Bold is on the way to the NC Zoo. It's a great place for a coffee stop if you're headed to the zoo or just hanging out. The service is always good and we've become familiar with the baristas there that make excellent drinks! read more

Cutest coffee shop in Asheboro. I love the aesthetic of this place. Fresh, nice decor and I was made to feel like I was amongst friends. The barista was knowledgeable and really cared about hand crafting every drink. I love the variety of pastries and drinks on the menu. Innovative creations and my sister and I were excited to try them. I picked the big minty over ice with an extra shot of espresso, and my sister went with the abominable over ice. Both of us really enjoyed them! I can't wait to make a return visit to try another one! The only thing is that it does not have a private parking lot. You have to park on the alley beside it or behind the place. A little tight but the coffee is worth it. read more

A great small, cute coffee shop. Best coffee around for a while. I ordered the mocha and it was incredible. Better than Starbucks and even better than some of the coffee shops in Raleigh where we're from. The staff were very friendly and conversational which was nice. The interior was intentionally designed and beautifully decorated. A solid place for a quick cup of coffee or a study session. Highly recommend. If we're ever in the area again, we'll be back here. This is my second visit to Bold Coffee Co. in Asheboro. It's the newest craft coffee company to take residence in the downtown district (moving into the former Mike's Chicago Dog building). The owners did a great job with the interior design hosting a simple, inviting mid-century modern vibe. The drinks range from classic to decadent, coffees to Italian sodas and also a small selected of iced kombucha. As you enter they have a merch rack that offers insulated coffee tumblers, tea/ coffee press', elder berry drops, etc. I've ordered the same drink on both occasions (campfire | marshmellow, toffee nut, mocha topped with toasted mellows and cinnamon). My husband opted for a lumberjack (a maple latte topped with candied bacon). The campfire is a sweet concoction which is right up my alley, the lumberjack is more of a traditional latte with a fun (and delicious!) spin. A new place in Asheboro I'd definitely recommend checking out. I look forward to trying more of their offerings in the future! read more

I was so happy to see this place pop up last winter! I've tried quite a few different drinks from here and they're all amazing! Recently, I've been addicted to the Pink Match, it's sweet & perfect for summer! I believe it's seasonal like some of their other menu items like the Coconut Mocha (another good one!). Stopped in here because we needed caffeine on our trek from Myrtle Beach to Michigan. Super cute inside! Quiet, clean and spacious for a little corner coffee shop. Prices were reasonable. The girl working was super friendly - great customer service. I got a regular coffee, double shot of espresso and a drink called Thic Boi (it was a special). OH MY I wish I lived closer to this coffee shop so I could get that drink regularly. It was the best coffee drink I've had. I got it because it had banana flavor in it and it was the perfect amount of banana taste. A good mix of banana, coffee and a touch of caramel. I don't even think I could try to recreate it at home. Try it if you're a flavored ice coffee type of person - you won't regret it read more

I went here out of sheer curiosity. A small shop on the corner of Trade & Fayetteville Street, it has a small selection of carefully crafted coffee drinks and other beverages. The coffee was excellent, undoubtedly among the best brews to be had. I watched the care & attention the young man behind the counter gave each drink and appreciated his work. I am in love with Bold Coffee! This is the kind of place I'd go out of my way just to get their drinks. We were recommended this place by an Asheboro local, and we were not disappointed. The interior feels like a modern-day coffee shop - a neutral color scheme with colorful velvet chairs and small tables - bedecked with plants, a tile-patterned wallpaper, and subtle boho accents. Each time, the barista, Willy, has been extremely kind and helpful when making recommendations and answering questions. Their menu is small, but mighty: they have a handful of seasonal drinks that rotate out, as well as the classics (mochas, lattes). Their campfire mocha is a real treat: served with a giant marshmallow that melts slowly. The coffee drinks aren't overly sweet, so it's even easier to down one drink in a single setting. We tried to stop at The Table on our way down to the Zoo but the line was around the building. I'm glad they're doing well but hard pass. This left us searching for an alternative and happily Bold Coffee was just right around the corner providing us with a quick and delicious solution to our problem. The environment was very pleasant: simple, elegant, bright, clean, and modern. The menu was delightful with a variety of specialities and seasonal drinks. I'm not a fan of coffee spots that just list their available syrups. If I'm spending $7 on a coffee I want to pay for your expertly crafted concoctions that you've made the effort to determine will work best with your unique coffees and accompaniments. Bold did not disappoint! Reading the options on the menu was a treat. I landed on The Lumberjack, which was a maple latte with whipped cream. This was NOT a sickly sweet drink a la Starbucks. It was coffee-forward with a hint of sweetness and it really hit the spot. No baked goods were available because the baker was taking a holiday break, which I can appreciate. And when I asked where I could find something the staff helpfully pointed me in the direction of another local business in walking distance. There was also a local selling beautiful handmade jewelry items in the back. Nice touch! It's a little tight with only three small tables and a few stools at the bar, so doesn't seem like a camp-out-with-your-laptop option. But parking was super easy and absolutely worth a stop if you're in the area. Four minutes tops off the highway. 10/10 recommend! read more
