Absolutely love this place! I was not expecting what I found at The Mill, and I think it may be my new favorite coffee shop. Beautifully decorated, plenty of space, delicious and affordable drinks, snacks, all kinds of merchandise for purchasing, and a large outdoor play area for kids. This is a very family friendly, Christian owned place, and not only did I enjoy a delicious "London Fog" (Earl Grey with Vanilla & Almond Milk) but I also purchased 3 devotionals! I highly recommend this place. You will be pleasantly surprised!!!

There are various downstairs rooms a large front porch set up with tables and some comfy seating. The location seemed to be popular with the locals as there were several groups located throughout the house either hanging out socially or working. We ordered from an extremely polite and accommodating barista and she was patient while we perused their long list of various coffee flavor concoctions. Although I don't remember the specific ones we ordered they were both pretty good. Although they do not use Torani brand syrups so the flavors did taste a bit synthetic. There are also a lot of various items for sale throughout the shop. I ended up purchasing a little knitted sock that fits on your broom handle to be used as a duster. For only $4 I felt like it was a cute and unique find. I actually wished I bought a couple more as gifts. If you're looking for a good little coffee place in the area that isn't one of the many big chains definitely give Black Chicken Coffee a try!

He was very friendly and very personable. You can tell he absolutely loves his city and coffee. He was just phenomenal. Several regulars stopped in and he knew them by name. They were equally as excited and praised his coffee. They had me super excited and glad that I stopped by. He does not sell prepared coffee drinks in the shop, but did recommend local bakeries and cafes that did. BTW, Dots & Pearls was one he recommended and it DID NOT DISAPPOINT!! He sales coffee beans. This is a roastery, so you're getting fresh roasted beans from some of the most notable coffee regions in the country. It is awesome. I purchased a bag of Sumatra dark roast and a big bottle of chai concentrate. My partner said the chai is delicious. I wholeheartedly recommend that you stop by and chat it up with the owner and of course purchase some high quality coffee. I definitely cannot wait to come back to High Point. Oh yeah, you can purchase the coffee online!!

He was very friendly and asked many questions to make sure I got the right beans for my taste and my espresso machine.
