What an amazing new coffee spot in Summerfield. There aren't too many mom and pop coffee shops in the area, and this one nails it! The space is huge, bright and airy inside with a ton of room for growth. They've only been open a week and the place is already very inviting, clean and fresh. There are separate comfy areas to the place with cozy seating. The owner is unbelievably friendly, you can feel the love that has been put into this place. And her staff members are great as well who offer excellent customer service. Now on to the amazing selection of drinks. You want it, they have it. Coffees galore with seasonal and unique concoctions we haven't seen elsewhere. My wife had a Silly Goose Latte and it was spectacular. Perfectly mixed, tasty and layers of flavor. If coffee's not your thing, don't worry. They have a huge assortment of chai flavors, tasty refreshers, energy drinks, smoothies and even dirty sodas. Can't say too many places in the area offer this much variety. They also have fresh bakery items to go along with your beverage. Muffins, scones, cookies, coffee cakes, and seasonal rotations that come in and out. The warmed up coffee cake we had was perfect. Crisp on the outside with a fresh and tender interior. Come see what this place has to offer. Bring yourself, bring a friend, bring the whole family. Options for adults and kids alike. This will be a go to spot for us up here in Summerfield going forward.

I am so excited that this coffee shop opened close to my house! It seems like all the coffee shops open in downtown Greensboro and I love having a great coffee shop available going towards Rockingham county. Firstly, the space is massive. There is so much potential inside to furnish and host events here, I can't wait to see what the owners do with it. Secondly, their menu was also massive. I love having bevvy options and I especially love a specialty menu so this was right up my alley. The barista I ordered from was super sweet as well. The blueberry muffin latte - OMG! I love a berry coffee and this one delivered. The blueberry flavor wasn't subtle but also didn't overpower the coffee. Pure perfection. My six year old daughter is a lemonade junkie and I knew after reading the menu the mermaid lemonade would be right up her alley as blue raspberry is her favorite flavor. I took a sip and it was the perfect balance between citrusy lemonade and the sweetness from the blue raspberry flavor. Needless to say we will be regular patrons at Grace & Grounds because the beverages are just too good to miss out on!

You do make a deposit if you are doing a tea service. I decided to go here for a Mother's Day tea lunch. We had the full tea service and my son had a child's tea. The interior is cute and I love how all of the China is mismatched. They have a large selection of teas and I chose a rose flavor. It was excellent with just the right amount of floral notes. My son had the birthday cake which had a nice vanilla aroma. Everyone gets their own pot, which is neat. They change their menu every month, but I think my favorites for the May tea, were the tomato sandwich and vanilla scone. The table was set with individual jars of clotted cream. We ordered cucumber sandwiches which were beautiful and tasty. Our server was very sweet. We plan to come back, especially for mom related celebrations.

I only went to Cheesecakes by Alex because it was the meeting place selected by someone I was meeting with. I thought I would grab a tea, have the meeting, and then leave. However, nothing went as planned. Lol First, I am a "sucker" for eclectic vibes, which is the ambiance that the Elm St. location gives. The inside has a large mural on the wall, it has rustic flooring and furniture, and it is nothing like what I had pictured. I thought I would encounter a more "refined" place where everyone had their pinky in the air because of how everyone raved about Alex and his freaking cheesecake. Gracious! I completely understand now. I mean, I get it. Lol So after the meeting, this roughly drawn menu reeled me in because it had CHAI TEA. That's my jam. Once I had a sip of my delicious hot Chai tea with almond milk, I KNEW everything else was probably tasty, so I (in a reserved way) ordered an apple muffin. The muffin smelled divine, so I inquired (because I HAD to lol) about the best-selling cheesecakes. The cashier smiled at me and directed me to the Bourbon Pecan and the White Chocolate Raspberry flavored cheesecakes. They were $6 per slice, and I couldn't decide, so I had her pack both. I had a long day planned, so I had to take the slices home and refrigerate them. I almost forgot about them until around 10:30 when I had a sweet craving, and...have mercy! BOTH cheesecakes were velvety smooth, flavorful, and decadent. The Bourbon Pecan was heavenly. I could definitely taste its unique flavor pairings, and it had enough pecans. I also loved the buttery crust. The White Chocolate Raspberry was rich and creamy, with the tang of the raspberry exactly where and when you need it in every bite. I had to take bites out of each, you know, to treat them fairly. Lol Although I paid dearly for eating too much dairy, it was worth the experience. Sometimes, you just have to eat the lactose pill and jump in! I'm so glad I did. Now you know that Cheesecakes by Alex is Kiesha Speech approved. Hands down, they are bringing more than flavor. Cheesecakes by Alex is bringing the "flava!" I hear there are several locations in NC. I hope you can try one near you.
