Randy's Donuts - Chocolate Milkshake - Donuts Near Me - Costa Mesa, California

Donuts! Crazy over donuts! if you've never had a Randy's Donut.... you should. Randy's Donuts is Southern California original with its roots in Inglewood. Selling donuts since 1952. The Giant Donut on the roof is definitely a head turner! This place is a must try. There is another Randy's in Santa Ana but the Costa Mesa one, I am more enamored with... Why you ask? Because of the Giant Donut on its roof. Trivia: Randy's was featured in Justin Timberlake's Can't Stop the Feeling music video and featured as an LA Landmark. @socalweekendwalkarounds Check out my You Tube Short on Randy's https://youtube.com/shorts/y5gVYnjXMsg?feature=share read more

Love how convenient this location is. 24 hour drive thru. The staff always impresses me with their friendliness around the clock. Can't recommend the Cinnamon Toast Crunch. The flavor is good but the cereal is not crisp Devils food cake is a bit dry Croissants are okay - they look like the ones from Costco read more

A little pricy but really good donuts. The doh is the right amount of fluffiness with delicious icing. Drive thru service could use some more training on the allergies list for their donuts. When we asked, the person did not seem to know any of the allergy information which made us hesitant to order. Eventually we just checked allergy information online while we were ordering. read more

Lots of choices for donuts. They are different prices depending on the type of donut. I got the pink raises donut , matcha donut, and original glazed. All delicious but were cold so keep that in mind. The store has really nice seating area if you want to eat inside. Staff seem nice. Would come back again. Also they have a seasonal donut for pride month! I believe it is vanilla iced. Would like to try that next if I'm in the area! read more

Customer service at this location was great. Area is nice and very friendly staff, will be visiting again.

Service here is horrible, not friendly, place not too clean , donuts are average nothing special Looks like they only have 1 worker . I asked for a certain donut she says they are in the back but never brought it so I had to pick something else This place is the biggest anti friendly spot to go to , that was the last time I will go there read more

Randy's Donuts is my top 3 favorite places to go get Donuts from they are so good, and you have so many choices to choose from. My favorites are the Butter Crumb Raised, and the Maple Long John with Cream, it was so good. The Butter Crumb Raised, has the perfect amount of crunch, and softness, to it and it has an incredible flavor. The Maple Long John with Cream is really tasty, it has a nice Maple flavor, to it with a Vanilla Cream Filling it is absolutely delicious. I would highly recommend everybody to go to Randy's and try there Donuts, once in a lifetime experience to have and they are really good and they are a top 3 Donut spot it will blow your mind away. read more

I've been a fan since they opened February 2021. It's so convenient that they have a drive thru open, I can literally go anytime I crave a midnight snack! I love swinging by and picking up a dozen to bring to get togethers or to just to bring to work. I also downloaded the app, which makes it even easier to order. I place it before leaving the house or work so it'll be ready by the time I get there. read more

The selection of doughnuts was quite impressive, featuring a variety of flavors and styles. I opted for a classic glazed doughnut and doughnut holes for my three year old toddler. ( they are big so they only need one) The service was efficient, and the staff were friendly, which made ordering a breeze. However, their drive through takes forever. Faster going inside. overall, it was a solid experience. clean store always stocked with fresh doughnuts. The shop is easy to find, thanks to the iconic giant doughnut MOM APPROVED read more

Randy's Donuts has been a staple in Long Beach for as long as I can remember, so when they opened up a location in Costa Mesa, I couldn't have been more excited! Their selection is consistently top-notch, and the occasional seasonal donuts are a delightful treat that keep me coming back to see what's new. The staff has always been friendly and easy to talk to, which adds to the overall experience. I'm a pretty laid-back person, but even so, every interaction I've had here has been genuinely pleasant. A special shout-out to "RD," who went above and beyond during my recent visit--hooking me up with some extra donuts and arranging my order beautifully on the spot. Talk about next-level service! The combination of incredible donuts and welcoming staff makes this place a must-visit. Don't just take my word for it, though--check out the pictures and let them speak for themselves! I had high hopes for Randy's Donuts. Unfortunately, I'm not a fan. I prefer my donuts warm or still have that fresh soft bite if it's been cooled down. Randy's Donuts did not deliver fresh-tasting donuts. I get that they are open 24/7 so it's hard to catch them making a fresh batch, but I expected the donuts to taste more fresh. I got the Buttermilk Crumb, Maple Raised, Donut Hole, and Chocolate Buttermilk. I wanted to try the Glazed Crondy (like a cronut) and Apple Fritter, but they were out. While the donuts had a really good texture and fluffy centers t hey were too sweet! The Donut Hole was the only thing that I was able to finish - it was sweet, but had a noticeable saltiness to it. The prices are good for the size and variety of donuts they off. Sadly, I can't bring myself to come back because the donuts lacked freshness and the flavored ones were too sweet. read more

Idk why I stopped going to the Inglewood one like 7 years ago for Krispy Kreme... first time at this location and while it didn't have as much of a selection given the time we went (mid afternoon) but everything tasted great. Went with all the new flavors and even the new latte and refreshers and everything was perfect, not too sweet and not too rich. Service was solid too especially with the amount of people in the drive through compared to working inside. Definitely holds its own as a non og location and will be going to this until I find better! read more

Living in SoCal all my life and I've never tried the famous "Randy's Donuts..... Well I finally did....now that there's one in in Costa Mesa. I was out in Irvine one day and decided "Hey lets go get some donuts from Randy's. Did some research on their menu before going there. I picked out a couple of things and off we went. Arrived and they're located on a very busy street. Getting in and out of that parking lot must be a B during busy traffic. It's a cozy little donut shop with posters of Iron Man, Snoop Dogg and other celebs or tv/movie appearances. The donut display is filled with goodies - colors popping to catch your eye. Well played Randy....well played. Picked out the items we wanted and we were at 10 - so the employees asked if we wanted to make it a dozen to get a couple bucks off. Ummm sure I pick out a few more hundred calories to bring home lol. So we got a dozen and I believe the total was just over $30 - most expensive dozen I've ever purchased. Even when I go to Donut Man I don't spend that much. But the donuts were good - tasty and well made. Some stand outs: the bacon maple long john - whoa lots of bacon flavor The chocolate crondy - has a croissant like texture - almost like a cronut. Coconut Raised - good coconut flavor The disappointment: Devils Food Cake - there's better out there..... read more

We drove in the drive thru and asked for a box of 4. Keep in mind there were no cars in front or behind of us in the drive thru. We ordered the first 3 in no time and asked for a second to think about the 4th one. The server lady said "ok" on the mic and then immediately goes "screw you, how can you get a box of 4 and not know what 4th one you want". We drove up to the window and see 2 workers (a guy with curly hair and a girl with blonde hair and glasses who was wearing the headset). We tap on the window and they both see us, but the girl ignores us for a minute and whispers something to her guy coworker. After waiting she opens the window and we stated we heard what she said but she tried to say she was talking to her coworker about another group of customers that were inside the store who left at the same time and they had the same order. She apologized for not muting her mic and for the misunderstanding, but this seems a bit too coincidental to really be a misunderstanding. And even if it was another group, the workers should not be talking about customers this way. Safe to say we won't be back at this location. read more

Home of the big O. I mean donut. Like a Gremlin never ever eat here after Midnight. You may be disappointed, especially if a few of the donuts you tried to get were not available. You know what else is not available after midnight? Iced coffee or iced espresso. I really wanted one too. Now if size matters to you. You came to the right place. These long John's are huge. Much bigger than I expected. The maple with bacon really hit my spot. Although I couldn't finish the whole thing at once, I am sure when I roll over in the middle of the night and hungry for bacon I'll finish it off. Service was fast and friendly. 3 donuts cost me just over $6.00. They are open 24 hours. The donuts are better than average. They have a few fun flavors like Fruity Pebbles and Fruit loop. Inside hours shut down at 9pm. I think for the full experience you need to go inside to see what your getting. For the true experience hit the one in LA. read more

There was only one person working and she was doing the drive through, answering the phone, and the front counter. She was very nice and patient but didn't have a good variety of doughnuts. She said that they only have one delivery a day and that's in the morning and maybe one midday, I asked for a twist and she gave me a glaze doughnut? I told her that I wanted a twist and she said oh we don't have any. Very disappointed. read more

Staff super friendly and patient! I had no idea what to order and they took the time to help me. There wasn't a long line cause they were taking care of business! I got one bacon, one coffee crumble, one butter crumble, one s'mores and one Nutella. All delicious, prices are fair as per donut size, freshness and quality. I wish I had ordered some coffee cause it smelled delicious, but I was in a hurry. Thank you SO MUCH for opening a location in the OC! I recommend! Coming back soon! read more

Super excited that the iconic round world famous donut is now proudly standing over Harbor Blvd in Costa Mesa, Orange County! Randy's Donuts has officially opened as of this morning, March 9, 2021 and, of course, I went! Got there around 6:40 and the line wasn't too bad yet. Got my donuts by 7am. There were tv crews and the owners were there working hard. I got the Maple Long John, Blueberry donut and just plain glaze. Haven't eaten all yet but so far so good! Quality tastes great. There's a drive thru and they serve Kean Coffee. Wishing this location much success! read more

Welcome to OC beloved Randy's!!!! We've been waiting for this glorious day! Our family arrived at 2:28PM and decided to wait in line instead of the insane drive thru one that went down the street and we got out by 3:08PM. If you don't know about Randy's please do yourself a favor and try them! Their donuts age like fine wine which sounds strange, I know, but because of some type of slight mochi-ness it gets better day 2 or even 3! In our humble opinion, they taste much better than they look. The donuts looked fresh and the service was efficient and friendly. We got a peek of the owner sitting with his attorneys. We're so happy for your rapid expansion and huge success!! Keep the amazing donuts coming! read more

Really delicious, big, and pretty donuts. I'm not sure if they are baking new batches as they finish them but I appreciated how moist mine were. I came around 6:30pm and there was no line. I bought half a dozen donuts and a small iced macchiato for about $20. The coffee they serve is keane coffee which is super strong. It woke me right up lol. I can't compare Randy's to different locations as this was my first time ever trying a Randy's donut and I was not disappointed. I would probably only get one next time. They are pretty big and one is more than enough per person. read more

76. Wait in a long ass drive thru line for donuts. Ok, I can now cross that one off the bucket list. Not sure why that made the list, but I think when I got to the 60s, I just started putting silly stuff down. The donuts are decent. I dunno if they really justify waiting in line. I mean, they're donuts for cryin' out loud. Didn't try the coffee. I will say that the bacon maple has a ton of crumbled bacon on it. Nice ratio of pork product to donut. Btw, this section of Harbor Blvd in Costa Mesa has more lines than Disneyland...In n Out, Chick Fil A, Canes...now Randy's. If you enjoy waiting in long drive thru lines, look no further for your Heaven. Again, they're only donuts folks. Simmer down. read more

I go in there all the time, yesterday was the first encounter with whom I believe to possibly be the manager, she called me "love" about 20 times, very irritating. Today i went in around 5:30 a.m., there was the usual person behind the counter, however she was assisting a customer at the drive-up window, she acknowledged me "good morning, I'll be with you in a few" the "manager" was walking around with whom seemed to be a new hire, she was showing him everything except good customer service; walked all around me without once acknowledging my presence, went behind the counter, never looked at me once and proceeded to tell the "new hire" this and that. I was there for 10-15 minutes and finally walked out. First bad experience there and the "manager" was the culprit, she needs training.... Newport Donut will be my go-to moving forward. read more

Love the donuts here ... I was lucky to come on a Monday around 3 pm and there was only a ten minute wait. Pros amazing fresh donuts that you can purchase 6 for around $12 cons when you get here later in the day it seems like they are out of a lot of selection .., what no buttermilk anything ? No cinnamon crumb ... I was bummed also no credit card purchase because machine was down. Ugh not a good way to start off this icon in Costa Mesa. read more

The icing is too sweet for my liking but they are very soft, moist & fluffy. Absolutely loved the texture of them. Iced coffee is also great. Everything here is worth it for the price. I'm not new to Randy's I usually visit the Los Angeles location which seems to have a more fresh selection I got 6 donuts in total two butter crumb raised - extremely sweet messy & a bit on the dry side .
