This was the first time in a few years that I've been back and great service, tasty beers! They have their own parking and I highly recommend their beer. Mr hey are easy to find and there is another brewery almost next door!

Went back. Just as good. Pizza was phenomenal. I don't care how many times I go here, the food is always good and the atmosphere perfect. Try the pizza. Try the pizza. Try the pizza. The crust will be perfectly soft, yet crispy. The toppings will be expertly placed and melted. The flavors will burst into a joyous dance in your mouth. The beer is always good here too. Though, I am trying to understand the fascination behind sour beer. It seems like a lot of breweries have loaded their offerings with sour beer. I don't want my beer to be sour. I want it to be crisp and refreshing. I mean, even Gatorade adds sugar so that it can be tolerable. Lol. At any rate, this is a great place for a cheat meal for those on a fitness quest. If you're not on a fitness quest, it's worth a regular trip.

We stopped in to check out Random Row and had a good time. I tried a flight of 5 beers (flights are available with 4 or 6 beers too), I chose the Mosaic Pale Ale, Method IPA, Lupuo IPA, Keagan Imperial Stout and Windswell IPA. I also tried the 100 Degree Hefe. The beers were good but there weren't any that I was a huge fan of. If you love Liverpool F.C. (or soccer in general, just probably not a rival team) then this is your spot on game days.

We arrived at Random Row on a Monday evening. Despite it being a Monday there were lots of people having drinks out front. Apparently on Mondays there is a running group which begins, ends and drinks at the brewery - fun! There wasn't a ton of beers on the menu which I felt like trying-- I love wheat beers, goses and sours, but my friends loved the selection. There were a bunch of TVs on airing various sports. Always a win, in my book! The hibiscus brew I ordered was unique and slightly tart. The floral notes were apparent, without being too over-powering. We ordered pizza, but at around 8pm they were only offering white pizzas (no red sauce). The pizza crust was chewy and delightful! The use small cup pepperoni which crisps up like magic. The staff was friendly and personable. The bartender referred to me by my first name all evening-- what a nice touch!

We scheduled an event with Random Row for Sunday evening trivia-- via email, they reserved their "indoor beer garden" for us and set up a tab for our large group. When we arrived, they did not honor the reservation and our group was forced to scramble for tables outside. They also ran out of pizza dough 1 hour into trivia; we only managed to get 2 pizzas for a large group of people. Unfortunately, we can no longer use this as a meeting place for our grad school class.

This was the first stop on our bachelorette weekend in Charlottesville. I'm personally not a fan of beer so I won't say much about that. The Sour WAP was probably my favorite that I tried. However, the true reason we visited Random Row Brewing was for the pizza. We ordered the pepperoni, Margherita, prosciutto&arugula, and the ricotta&mushroom pizzas. The pizza was so crispy and flavorful. The top pizza of the evening was the ricotta & mushroom. If you can only pick one, give that one a try! (Sorry I didn't get pictures of the pizza, we were starving!)

Great and super friendly service. Lots of seating. We got flights of beer- they were in lovely wood trays with numbers. Nice holiday decor as well. Lots of parking.

We came to Random Row right when they opened. Everyone was spaced out and staff was seen cleaning regularly. Everyone was also following the mask rule. In the strange times we are in, I appreciated the staff doing everything they could to make people feel comfortable. On to the beer. They were doing flights with options to try 4, 5, or 6 beers. You could also order pints or beers to go. My husband and I each ordered a flight of 4. My flight included two of their seltzers, a berliner weisse, and a boysenberry pale ale. I enjoyed all the beers. I really loved the phase 2 berliner weisse- it was light and a great beer to enjoy during a long summer night. Beer was affordable and staff was great. So glad we got to stop in.

Food was really good, beer wasn't the best but it was solid. Service was also good for the amount of people there.

Friday night, take an uber ride to be dropped off only to find out they are closed for a private event. Not a great look, won't be back.

The Bold Belgian was pretty good as well; it's 4% Bold Rock cider so that added a really unique flavor to it.

My husband and I came here with our 2 dogs a few weeks ago while in town to go hiking. We saw…read moreonline that they had a very large, pet-friendly beer garden, so we came here after a long day of hiking to relax with some beers. When we arrived, the parking lot was very full and we quickly realized that they had trivia going on inside. While working our way through the taproom to go outside, we had to walk past a table that is right next to the patio door. It had a big trivia group around it and they had a very reactive dog that lunged and tried to bite both of our dogs. Not a great start to our time there. Once we got outside, we realized we could sit anywhere because not one other person was outside. I stayed by a fire pit area with the dogs while my husband went inside to grab beers. He came back with our first round and we planned out some more places we wanted to go to in Charlottesville during our stay. Not once while we were there (for 2 hours or so) did a single staff member come out to check on us or offer to turn on the gas fire pit. My husband said that the woman at the bar the couple of times he went up there was friendly enough, but there were several other people on staff that didn't acknowledge him/us our whole visit. As it got closer to closing time, we noticed people leaving, but the parking lot seemed to stay full with the same amount of cars. I'm not sure if there is a car repair place nearby and they share parking or if 90% of the people inside decided to ride share home, but it made us think for a long time that a lot of people were still inside for trivia night. My husband went inside to close out and saw that only one other table was still there, so we packed up our stuff we brought for the dogs and went to head inside to leave after finishing the last of our beers. We took our empty glasses up to the bar and the last table inside had just left, so we were the last customers. The woman standing at the end of the bar completely ignored us, didn't thank us for coming in, and stayed on her phone the whole time. It was just super rude and only enhanced the overall unpleasant experience we had during our time there. The beers were good and they seemed like a popular spot for a trivia night, so maybe it's better to visit and stay inside, but we didn't have a good time and wouldn't come back if we are ever in town again. I did really like that they had a community area for fresh food for people in need.

We were conflicted because it was a little over an hour until close, but we saw from outside that there were still quite a few tables with people inside, so we decided to go in and ask. The hostess/our server said it was still open and we had about 10-15 minutes to get our order in still and took us to a table. We each decided to get a double Timbercreek Smashburger, and split a crinkle cut fries order with cheese sauce at her recommendation. The smashburgers were so, so, so good and really hit the spot after being out hiking all day. We were only in town for a week and our first day we had walked over to Högwaller from our Airbnb with the dogs to try their beer and smashburgers, so we wanted to try Selvedge's before we left, too. They both are equally as good, but different, and I recommend stopping in at both locations to try them out! The "snack" of crinkle cut fries was also a great choice. Perfect sharing size and they were cooked to perfection. Crispy, but not burnt, well seasoned, and stayed hot while we ate them. Our server checked on us often and was very sweet. The only reason I gave it 4 stars is because we felt like the man behind the bar hadn't been very welcoming at first. He was nice when you talked to him, but he was closing all of the taps early and just seemed annoyed that he had to pour more beer. We went to each order 2 beers to try since we had never been there before and are from out of town, but he told us it was Virginia law that he couldn't sell us more than one beer at a time. Every other brewery we went to during our stay (minus Three Notched because we went there for brunch and only ordered one beer at a time) we each ordered 2 beers to try so we wouldn't have to keep getting up and moving around while we had the dogs with us. It seemed very hard to believe that every other brewery was breaking the law for us/other customers during our stay. He continued closing down the taps and never did a last call, so we ended up only having the one beer while we were there. I asked if they sold cans to-go when we were leaving and he said no, but that they hoped to soon and that they sold crowlers. We ended up getting a crowler of the festbier to take home and drink at the Airbnb while watching a movie. We would definitely come back if we are ever in Charlottesville again, though not so close to closing time. We loved our server, the food, and the beer. Selvedge also had the nicest taproom out of all of the breweries we went to, lots of different seating options, big TVs to watch the game on, lots of space in general.
