I never pass up a chance to have a West Coast IPA

This is an incredible location at the dairy market in Charlottesville, Virginia. You can grab food from one of the many vendors and the food court and bring your food to the bar and enjoy a Starhill beer. I was pleasantly surprised to find a West Coast IPA on their menu, which I always fall in love with. Every bartender I've ever come in contact with at Star Hill is always so helpful and friendly. This brewery should always be on your must stop list when traveling to or through Charlottesville.

Lots of seating inside and outside. Had the Hazy IPA since they said it was a best selling beer. I tend to agree. More dank than juicy which I prefer. Worth returning for more tastes.

Starr Hill is the glue to the Dairy Market. It helps bring everyone together. When ordered our food we go in different directions but Starr Hill brings us together every time. It doesn't matter if you want indoor seating or outdoor seating, live music or catching the game Starr Hill has something for you. Ramble On is my typical go-to, but if they have their Tripel on tap it has my full attention. As the weather warms up they host live music out on the patio. Nice to sit back, enjoy a beer, and listen to music outside downtown. Parking is in a paid lot next door (free for first hour). Dogs are welcome outside (with dog bowls), but not inside. They have tables specifically marked for Starr Hill. Just know that if you don't have something from Starr Hill they might ask you to move to a non-Starr Hill table.

Great spot in Charlottesville! Plenty of tables inside and a huge outside area as well. Many beers to choose from plus some spiked seltzers. Would definitely recommend.

Alright Starr Hill, you have make me and my sour-loving friends very happy. They have some amazing options on draft right now, so if you are a fan of smoothie beers get a pint of the X-HAALT: one of the better smoother sours I've tried and it's 9%! The Peach Love was also incredible, and had a strong peachy flavor that perfectly complemented the wheat beer base.

Located now in Charlottesville proper (ironically in the same spot another brewery used to be) inside the dairy market. Great to be able to sample all the beers and have a great selection of food to take into the space (though the beer has to stay inside the brewery boundaries). It looks like they are even going to do some small batch brewing onsite which is a neat feature. Star Hill has a great selection of beers and there is something on there for everyone, from the bitterest of IPA lovers to the sourest of the sours to the deep coffee/malt of the stouts.

It's good to have Starr Hill back in Charlottesville. I remember going when they were located on West Main. Now they have a new location inside the Dairy Market. They just opened this location yesterday. Nice selection on tap, crowlers available, and a refrigerated to go section. Bartenders allowed us to sample a few things as they had at least 4 variants of the chocolate stout on draft. We ended up selecting Ramble On and the Irish Red. The stouts were good, but we selected beers that paired well with our lunches. It's definitely going to thrive in the Dairy Market, as it's nice to enjoy lunch with a beer.

Had not been there before. Went on the recommendation of our son. Beer was terrific and the service was great. Will return next time back.

The atmosphere is great as well, they have a huge seating section that takes up a big chunk of the Dairy Market.

It was a perfect way to end the evening until the torrential rain came down as we were about to leave, and as they were about to close. When a situation understandably could have been met with a "not my issue" attitude, we were instead reassured that there was no rush on their end. Our wonderful and attentive bartender, Tatum, continued to treat us with kindness and great customer service, even while they were doing their job in closing up. I appreciate that that our safety was prioritized and valued over their workday ending. As Annapolitans, we continue to discover the gems of Charlottesville, and this is high on our list. The beer was superb. I had trouble narrowing my choice. Thank you, Tatum! You made our visit memorable and enjoyable.

Brewery #453…read more Selvedge felt a little boujee. When we walked in someone who acted like and resembled Dieter from SNL (Google it young whipper snappers) took our orders. I asked if they had flights and he acted like I asked him for a Busch Light. As if this beer was being pissed out by God himself into my glass. So, I just got a pint of Hummingbird Ale which was a hazy IPA. It was good but came out with a hug head (too much foam) which seemed odd for a hazy IPA with a pretentious server. We also ordered a thing of nacho fries which I think was just cheese sauce, cilantro and banana peppers. These were very delicious. Dieter never came back by, so I didn't get to try any more of their beer. The place seemed nice. Had a cool arcade area. The food and beer I had was good. Just let there be flights so people can try more of your beers and maybe remove the snooty waiter.
