    Pineapple upside down cake

Have had mixed experiences at Sedona Taphouse but this past weekend was great! Service was phenomenal, entrees were both solid (not pictured: crab-stuffed shrimp and pork marsala), and the pineapple upside down cake is a must-get! We also quite enjoy the Lemon Drop martini drinks there.

Service was great! I think the waitress's name was Caroline and she was such a delight! Very professional, friendly, and down to Earth. She made us feel comfortable and gave great food recommendations. Bruschetta: probably the best I've ever had. I think there was goat cheese on it. It was creamy and the bread wasn't hard like some other places I've had it at. Calamari was good, has a bit of a kick if you eat it with the peppers it comes with. Steak with fries and spinach: perfectly cooked to my request of medium. Spinach wasn't seasoned but I still liked it. I would definitely come back.

Great service and great food My favorite apps are the goat cheese bruschetta and the truffle fries I've had the mussels, pasta, scallops, burger, steak frites. All are delicious The brownie sundae is the best dessert!

Nacho appetizer- huge. And very good!!

We're in town for a family wedding and traveling with our pup. So, a dog friendly restaurant was a must for us. The Yelp! reviews led us to Sedona Taphouse and we were not disappointed! We were welcomed with smiles and promptly seated. The beer selection was outstanding. My wife found a gluten free beer and I found an old favorite from my college days in upstate NY. My wife wanted an appetizer, and ordered what she thought was a small order of nachos. Small? More like Texas sized. Chips, guacamole, white cheese jalapeño (could have used more) and pulled pork. I went with a special seared tuna salad with cucumber, edamame, avocado, lettuce, peanuts and greens. Delicious. Everything was spot on, with excellent service from Evan. And our pup was a happy camper as we sat on the patio and he got to say hello to a very friendly group of fellow dog lovers.

We are in Charlottesville for two days and I found this place on Yelp. The food was incredible and they have a huge drink menu with many beer, wine and mixed drink options. We got there early and sat out on the patio. The wait staff was awesome. Not a chain . I got the grilled flounder with spinach and asparagus with a shrimp and crab meat topping. My wife got tomato soup and salad.

3.5 stars. Enjoyed dinner on the outdoor patio while on vacation with the fam. Beers are pricey, so pay attention to that when ordering. Food was good. Flatbread and Chicken Sandwich stole the show. Wings and steak and shrimp dinner were ok, but would not get again.

I gave Sedona another try after having it awhile ago and feeling it was mostly meh. I went with a group from work for a business lunch and was impressed with the food and service. I think they've stepped up their service over the last few years so props to their management for doing a good job. The inside is upscale casual and comfortable for a laid back sit down dinner or a business lunch. Business casual is appropriate to eat here although I did see many folks in jeans and t shirts. Our server was awesome and super helpful answering questions and making recommendations (even with a broken foot!) she recommended the devils pass pasta and I decided to give it a try For apps we had the crabcake flatbread, edamame and calamari. All were great, no complaints. Many of us ordered drinks, I had a New York sour and felt like it was well done. This was a bug improvement on the last time I was here where my app and drink were both under expectations. So great job. The devils pass pasta was great. I added shrimp to it and was surprised how good it was. I had the French quarter pasta awhile ago and didn't care for it so I was a little nervous to try their pasta again. It was awesome. I would totally get this again. For dessert our table ordered some chocolate peanut butter cake - the meal was quite large so I passed on this but heard the dessert was great. The restaurant was PACKED (I actually couldn't get parking bc it was so full) so I think Sedona has stepped their game up and people are taking note. I would be back again for lunch or dinner soon. The prices are super reasonable and the food is definitely worth what you pay for. I would be back!

I visited Sedona Taphouse on my way to see my sister at UVA. While I'm not a beer drinker myself, I was very impressed by the wide selection of beers this location offers. The vibe was lively and sports-oriented. Our server was super nice but not as attentive as we'd hoped, likely due to the dinner rush and high volume. I ordered a New York Strip with a side of grilled asparagus and garlic whipped potatoes, along with their chimichurri sauce, which was absolutely delicious for dipping the steak. The steak itself was flavorful but not particularly memorable--comparable to what you'd expect from a Great American restaurant. However, the chimichurri sauce definitely elevated the dish. The steak was cooked to a nice medium, although I had requested medium-rare. Despite that, everything was delicious!

Stopped by for a quick dinner while at UVA. If I were to sum the place up, it would be solid. Nothing was amazing or would go out of my way for to try, but still good. The seafood was fresh, steak was alright and the sides were all good. A tad on the salty side, but a solid spot for anyone looking for a quick bite. Entrees: Seared Snapper, Black Angus Flat Iron and Seared Scallops Sides: Asparagus, Green Beans, Garlic Whipped Potatoes, and Southwest Corn . . .

Super excited to try it after looking at the menu online. Arrived, wasn't very busy, immediately sat down, then waited 10 minutes before a waitress came over. Staff seemed very disorganized. Ordered the bread basket (highly recommend), a burger, a filet mignon, garlic mashed potatoes and fries. Different waitress dropped off food then left. Steak was ordered medium, but came out rare. Mashed potatoes had so much pepper you couldn't eat them. Burger was ok but super greasy. Waitress never came back until 20 minutes later.. Just wow.....

absolutely had to return when i visited the area again. french quarter was amazing, still a little spicy! courtney was amazing, we loved her! so incredibly sweet and had a great smile. wouldn't get the truffle cheese fries though, they were too greasy. go for the regular truffle fries!

Alpine Burger w/ roasted brussel sprouts & good local craft brew.
    Ben S.

Had to get away from the mediocre hotel-catered food I had for breakfast & lunch that day, and the cringey corporate interactions. Ate at the bar by myself for dinner and it was glorious. FOOD: The Alpine Burger was well-balanced, not falling into the temptation that a lot of "artisanal" burgers do, where it's all a bit too much of the "muchness" flavor-wise. I know it had sherry-infused [something] - mushrooms I think? Anyway, it was nice. Instead of fries, I got the roasted brussel "ralphs" (as my little son would say ) so that was a tasty addition. But the main reason I decided on stopping when I was looking at the map was the assumption that they had a good tap list. Bartender said they had about 50 on tap. Both local craft brews I tried really hit the spot. SERVICE: Bartender very pleasant & down-to-earth. Well-attended throughout. No complaints at all. PRICE: Under $30 for everything. Reasonable for sure. ATMOSPHERE: Nothing crazy or super stand-out, but what I needed was a clean, non-annoying, chill place, and it was all that. Pleased overall. I'm sure it might be inevitability upstaged in a few different areas if I was a local, but it's precisely what I wanted at the time. Big draft list, clean, chill atmosphere...give this place a visit!

My Wahoo daughter brought me here during Family Weekend, and now I totally get why this place is a UVA favorite. The building itself is part of a beautifully restored historic industrial complex off Preston Avenue. It's an adaptive-reuse space (formerly part of the old Coca-Cola bottling works), and the design keeps that industrial character alive: tall ceilings, exposed materials, and a layout that feels open, social, and easygoing. The outdoor area is especially smartly done. They've got roll-down fabric walls and overhead heat lamps that keep the patio comfortable even when the temperature dips. It's basically an all-weather beer-garden vibe, and it works. Here's how our meal went down: * Shared starter: the Jumbo Bavarian Pretzel. Warm, soft, perfectly salted, and killer with both the mustard and the cheese sauce. * My entrée: the Local Steak Salad -- gorgeous presentation, tender grass-fed beef, and those pickled turnips, radish slices, and greens in herb buttermilk dressing absolutely tied it together. * My daughter's entrée: Bratwurst, which disappeared quickly, so that tells you what you need to know. Service setup is counter-service for food with table drop-off, and drinks are ordered directly at the bar. It's efficient, friendly, and gives the whole place an easygoing "European beer hall meets Charlottesville neighborhood spot" feel. Kardinal Hall is one of those places where good food, good architecture, and good energy all line up. If you're in town -- especially visiting UVA -- this is a must-stop.
