YUM!! This place was amazing for several reasons. -great dive bar inside with darts and stage for live music -two outdoor patio areas both with tables that have umbrellas for shade -AMAZING food - I got the Italian sub and my partner got the hot Sicilian - both were amazing, absolutely no complaints -very reasonably priced - my 12" sub was around $12 -friendly staff; the bartender brought a fresh water bowl for our doggo Overall, 20 out of 10! Wish I lived in Cville to come back regularly.

Wow!! I hadn't had Durty Nellys food since I was a kid and their subs are still A1. I had the Italian sub and am already excited for when I can grab another one. Portion size is HUGE, once sandwich is definitely enough for 2 meals (or 2 people). Beer specials are great and happy hour deals are good. Great local pub and they have some dart boards inside. Great food and beer would be back.

So this place is a local's favorite hangout. We visited on Thursday night and tried their Italian sub. It was excellent! You order at the bar and they bring it to you. Not a very big place at all. Friendly service. I'll visit again.

I feel like this is a institution in C-Ville's night life. This was my first time to the pub and it totally made an impression. It's a local bar for sure. I went on a Thursday night and the locals were out in full force. It was an older crowd, but I'm sure college students frequent it often. I got a draft and a vodka with a pickle back. The draft was 3 dollar and a top shelf vodka w/ chaser 10 dollars. Wow , what a deal!!!! I guess I'm use to paying a lot more. The ambiance was your typical Irish bar, but laced with a 70's vibe. I also tried a sub. I choose the cavalier sub. It was 12 dollars and worth every penny. It was heavy and the size of my arm. Lol . In conclusion, this place is worth the money and the experience. These are the places we need to keep alive during recessions.

Solid dive. Darts, live music, good sub sandwiches. Would be a lovely, cheap place to frequent in Cho

A good place to view a band. Don't expect a hot meal here. But for cold beer, a giant sub, free music, and local flavor Durty Nellys is it.

Another hole-in-the-wall: gas station, convenience store, bar, and deli. Great food though. I highly recommend the Jefferson.

The reason for 4 stars is the food while good and unique missed the mark a bit. The fried elements seemed to either indicate the oil was a bit old or they overcooked a few of our items. The fried greenbeans while really good overall and a unique preparation. Had a subtle burnt flavor and same with the Catfish Poboy. The PoBoy was uniquely prepared too with green tomatoes that really worked well. But the condiment was thin, and the tomatoes could have been a bit thicker cut. So flavor was good, but could have been better. The fries that came with the sandwiches were good though. So TLDR, the breading on the catfish, and the fried green beans, was thick and looked slightly over cooked and tasted a tad burnt but at the same time the food itself seemed cooked properly. Not horrible and overall was very good. Just not 5 star. But much better than standard bar food fare. Standout though was the dessert (Hot Brownie with ice cream) it was absolutely amazing. I'll be back and hopefully can give them a 5 star later.

The restaurant was empty of customers and only a couple of guys at the bar. The waitress came to our table and took our drink order along with out food order. The drinks didn't arrive for about twenty minutes. After the delivery of the drinks, the waitress didn't return to our table to take a second or subsequent drink orders. Finally, the drinks arrived and we waited for the food. There are a lot of local craft beers on the list, along with a wide selection of whiskies. Would have been fun to try some, but we never really had service at out table. This bar is Irish themed and Irish folk music is played on the sound system, loudly. Not bad, but you do h a very to speak up during conversations. The food arrived and was ,"just okay". I had the fried chicken sandwich, my friends had the burger. My wife had the grilled chicken sandwich. All meals came with fries. The service needs to step up their game. It was not busy at all and the wait staff were more interesting in socializing with each other than tending to the customers. Also, the food was delivered warm, it probably had been sitting under a light for some time. This place has great potential, but changes in service staffs priorities need to happen. Not impressed with this place, but if you decide to give them a try, I hope your experiences are better than ours.

Growing up in a h hospitality hom, i can easily say the quality is there. Everything is made from scratch. Our server was so sweet and kind. Helpful with the choices & decisions at crunch time. I got the beer battered fish (for 18, I would have liked 2 pieces of fish) bbu t the entire fillet was crispy and i had to let out cool down when th get brought it out. My boyfriend had the Shepards pie. (He is never very responsive with food but he raved about this to the point that we asked to talk to the kitchen.) It was hearty and flavorful. Really yummy beef gravy on top. l love Brussel sprouts and these had sweet Thai chili sauce and bacon bits (a house made recipe). I could have made that my entire meal. The brownie sundae was super moist as well. During the meal, it was a really good portion amount (at first I thought it was small) but it was spot on. If there was a downside I'd say the alcohol was a little more expensive then I would have expected, but that would be about it. I definitly feel like we've found a hidden gem. If you want high quality Irish comfort food. This is definitly the best one I've ever found. I wish I had taken more pictures but it was so good, by the time we thought about posting this review,, we had eaten most of it already.

The process from start to finish was easy and everyone I spoke to was so kind. I received advice on the menu and the best way to do the drinks. On the day of the event, I confirmed the details and we showed up ten minutes ahead of time to add some personal decorations. We had the slider package, mac and cheese, onion rings, artichoke dip, and baked potatoes. Everyone raved about the sliders (my dad's personal favorite was the reuben one - he had four). My mom, an onion ring fan, was very happy. There were only good things to say about the food. The bartenders were extremely attentive to the party and there was never a build up at the bar. They offered a cake hold. They brought it out when asked, had the candles lit, then whisked it back to cut it and bring it back out. If you need a lot of hand-holding, having all the perfect touches or a million options to pick from, or 'event planning' kind of help, this may not be your place. But if you want to have a chill, fun evening with lots of wonderful food and good drinks, great service, and a fun atmosphere, I would recommend Four Provinces.
