Came here to meet our brother and sister-in-law for some beers/lunch. Hubby and I stuck with beer only - I got a flight of four, and unfortunately didn't love any of the beers, but they were solid. I expected more from the gose - the cider, albeit not beer, was nice and refreshing. The location in Charlottesville is walkable and next to a cool art park. While we didn't eat, our family got salads for lunch that looked tasty!

Biggie S'mores Stout is better than you would think not really sweet very dark and very stout like.

This is always a great spot in Charlottesville. I have eaten here many times and the food is really good. The beer and the selection of beer is even better. It's a large space for big crowds and you can even reserve a private section for your group. I really wanted to try the Biggie S'mores Stout and yes it was as good aa you would think two thumbs up!

Very busy chain craft brewery. I was in town visiting and it was walking distance from air bnb so I decided to drop on. The place was huge and bustling. I love the industrial look of the restaurant. The place is known for their local craft beer infused dishes. Beef sliders were pretty good but I don't like when any type of burger where the bun over does the patty and this one did. The Parmesan fries were bland ... would've loved maybe shaved Parmesan and not Kraft grated Parmesan. The sweet potato fries were better. Fair brewpub prices for quality of food. Love the concept of beer infused dishes but I didn't feel like the sliders tasted any different from a regular slider.

This is our second time at the tap house and it's still great! Not sure how it has below a 4 star rating on Yelp!! Beer rotation is great so there's always something new to try. Food is always delicious. Today, we were here for brunch and again - great experience. We tried the Sunrise Burger and the Cluckwaffle... chef's kiss. I usually don't order chicken - especially white meat - because it is easy to overcook. But it was juicy and I didn't even need any sauce (I left off the siracha aioli cuz I don't eat spicy). The only "bad" thing was we had our dog so ate outside on their patio. It is technically heated but the patio is VERY drafty so the heater was fighting a losing battle. Also - our waitress was pretty awful. Only checked on us once and we had to flag her down to get our check. But the other staff that we interacted with were great so I won't punish the venue for one mediocre performance.

My first mistake was getting the beer the underaged waitress recommended I got the imperial sour, and it was not my favorite. It has a strange undernote of chocolate? The nachos were delish! The place is huge! Should have stuck with my original plan and had a flight!

Good hangout spot with lots of seating and food options for big groups. I had an espresso martini last time and it was really good. I also really like the garlic Parmesan fries

I love how there are so many breweries in Charlottesville. Great place to grab a beer and food. I've been a few times and really enjoyed whatever I've ordered. I recommend trying the pork belly tacos, which comes with a side of fries. One of my favs so far. They have a lot of seating as well, which can accommodate large groups. The parking can get quite full, but you'll just have to park further away. I like the little area that it's located in.

Great place. Food was good! I was visiting Charlottesville for the first time and actually found this place on yelp! Great vibe as I was there to watch football on a Sunday everything we had was great! Service was okay no complaints.

Always our favorite pit stop on our way to snowshoe! Great for celiacs too! Sweet potato fries were amazing!

I gotta be honest this place was once one of my favorite breweries in all of cville. The location is spectacular located with IX park and walking distance from the downtown mall. The beer selection has always been great and the service excellent. All that being said the food was quite disappointing. I used to rave about this place having some of the best brewery food around but that's just not the case anymore. You'd be hard pressed to find something on the menu for a good price and good quality. I would recommend giving this place a go only if you're looking for apps (even then it's iffy) and brews (definitely the shining star).

We came as a stop on visiting breweries and wineries. Cute area but not a lot of sit back with a beer seating (that doesn't require a fee to rent cabanas). Our server was sweet, especially since our crew can be a lot. They had tons of drink options, including great non alcoholic options. The staff were sweet and let us sit at a cabana since we were only there for a little bit which was super appreciated. Make sure you grab a picture by the love sign!

Hubs wanted to try a few breweries while visiting the area and stoped by here! It's a large brewery with tons of seating and a large bar area with television. We sat at the bar and had great attentive service. Husband did a beer flight and enjoyed 3 out of the 4 beers he tried. They have a large selection of all kinds of beers, so I'm sure a beer lover will find what they are looking for.

Very impressed. Lots of seating good for parties small and large. Good variety and selection of beers and ciders. Reasonable prices. Service was excellent. Waiters was attentive but not overbearing. Food was excellent. Well worth a visit.

We had 5:30pm reservations and were seated immediately. The host was warm, acknowledged the occasion, and honored my request for a quieter table by placing us in a bay-window nook. Unfortunately, that's where the positives ended. The space echoed so badly we could barely hear each other, and the setting sun combined with the AC being accidentally turned off made the area feel like a sauna. Our water glasses were filled within minutes, so we thought service would be smooth. Instead, we sat for another 15 minutes before anyone greeted us--while a table seated after us was helped promptly and served at a noticeably faster pace. I understand large parties require attention (there was a group of 10-12 nearby), but as a former server myself, I've never allowed smaller tables to feel forgotten. When our server, Lucian (sp?), finally arrived, we immediately placed drink and appetizer orders because we were already starving. The appetizers came out about 20 minutes later--still before our drinks. The brussels sprouts were excellent and worth the wait. The biscuit basket was good, though the butter-to-biscuit ratio felt off, and the apple butter was surprisingly delicious. Our entrées didn't arrive until at least 45 minutes after that. The pacing was simply poor, and we consistently felt like an afterthought. While our server was polite, he didn't initiate conversation, offer suggestions, mention happy hour, or acknowledge our daughter's birthday. He didn't even suggest dessert. Meanwhile, the six-top behind us--seated well after we were--was wrapping up their meal as ours was just being served. The food presentation was beautiful. The pot roast, however, was underwhelming. It lacked seasoning and sauce, and the vegetables were forgettable--very few potatoes, no carrots. "Not your normal pot roast" was accurate, but not in a good way. The shrimp and grits were excellent, with great seasoning and a flavorful sauce. The salmon was moist and well-prepared, though it still had a few scales on the end of the filet. Once we finished eating, we again waited for our server to return. We eventually had to wave him down for boxes and again to request the check. Parking in the back was convenient early in the evening, though I imagine it becomes difficult later. Would we return? Unfortunately, probably not. We've been treated better, served more efficiently, and appreciated more fully at other restaurants--including one almost directly across the street. What we hoped would be a memorable celebration ended up feeling ho-hum at a high price--too high for the experience we received.

They neither responded to my email nor the review with any sort of explanation or apology which suggests that they don't really care. So I'll share this on Yelp too so others are aware of their poor customer service. We visited this restaurant with a group of seven and were excited to try it, especially because the outdoor seating area looked like a great spot for dinner. Unfortunately, the experience ended up being very disappointing. Service was extremely slow and disorganized from the start. About 15 minutes after ordering, a different waitress brought food to our table that we hadn't ordered, then quickly took it away without much explanation. From there, things only got worse. Our meals came out slowly over the course of 30-45 minutes, just one or two plates at a time, with no communication about the delays. Our four-year-old waited nearly 45 minutes for a simple order of fish sticks. Even basic service was lacking. We had to ask multiple times for something as simple as an apple juice refill, and it still took far too long to arrive. Toward the end of the meal, our waitress stopped checking on our table altogether, which made it difficult to order dessert. The food itself was pretty good, which is the only reason this isn't a one-star review. However, the poor service and lack of attentiveness completely overshadowed the experience. Overall, it was frustrating and disappointing, and we don't plan to return.

The biggest issue I found here was despite our server being very nice while ordering she NEVER checked in on us after anything arrived, never refilled waters either. So although she was nice the service was not good as there were times we wanted to order something else and one of the entrees didn't arrive as it was ordered but our server never checked in. All things considered I think I would only come here to grab a salad or appetizer.
