Stopped in because we heard the pizzas were great especially the Date Night Pizza. Unfortunately, my husband is a basic pizza person so the Date Night was out. We started with a couple of beers which were good. We ordered the Nachos with smoked chicken and the Smoked Wings with Chili Thai sauce. Both were delicious but the nachos were lukewarm at best. They were very good but could have been warmer. We then ordered the Sausage pizza to go to have later. It was absolutely fantastic! Highly recommend!

    Gorgeous patio area!

5 - I'd try to convince my wife to drive an hour just to come here. Skip to the end to see my rating scale. Gorgeous place! First thing we noticed is a well manicured outdoor area that is dog friendly. They also have a good food menu which we took advantage of and were not disappointed. We just got appetizers, but they left us questioning if we should get dinner too. Our waitress was awesome and almost had us convinced to do it! But let's talk beer. These guys do a flight right - all ten of their tap choices in one flight! With a generous variety, we both found more than one that we liked enough to invest in a full pint. With stunning views of the mountains, comfortable and classy outdoor seating, and a great beer selection makes Blue Mountain a place that I'll definitely try to convince Mama to visit again! 1 - Just don't 2 - You'll survive, but there are better choices close by 3 - Good choice if you're in the area 4 - I'd drive 30 minutes out of my way just to come here 5 - I'd try to convince my wife to drive an hour just to come here

We came on a Saturday around 4:30 and found the entire patio and inside seating filled. We didn't bother with the line and went straight do the bar. Great service and fast. It's that time of the year for amazing beer. "Spooky" has arrived and brought cousins. They have a Pear and a Peanut Butter for outside purchase (but not on draft). The larger bottles are $19.99 and worth it!! I wish I had gotten more.

We drove from Annapolis & made it to Blue Mountain just in time for lunch. The parking lot was packed, and this was at 12:45 on a Wednesday. We both ordered the Kolsch beer, which was great. It was a beautiful day, so we chose a corner table on the patio outside. We split the turkey wrap and an arugula caprese salad. Both were so fresh and so good. Our server was Rhett B, who was amazing. He knew we were sharing so they brought out extra plates, and he checked on us frequently. The scenery was gorgeous, the crape myrtles were in bloom, and we could not have asked for a nicer lunch stop. It was paradise.

What a fun spot - felt like a brewery straight out of the Rockie's, transported to the Virginian landscape. Outdoor space is really expansive - plenty of seating between picnic tables and Adirondack chairs (and of course the indoor area as well), yard games for those so inclined, very clean, etc. The indoor section was very campy/log-cabin-ey, which was a cool vibe. Tart sour beer, FRIED GREEN TOMATOES (all caps for a reason - that slathering of pimento was heavenly), and the Date Night Pizza - all wonderfully delicious (also shoutout to how ENORMOUS that pizza was...? Worth $26 and then some for all the leftovers we came home with). Reliable service and overall a great pleasant experience, more our vibe than the wineries for sure.

Amazing food! The pizza is the best! The beer is just as good! And every waiter we have had was the best and the service was fast! I love the look of the whole restaurant! The fire pits are so nice outside during the fall and winter and the inside is so nicely decorated. A true Virginia calling!

With its spacious lawns, great mountain views, corn hole boards, good & varied menu of food, beers, ciders, wines, etc., myriad of types of seating, fire pits, leashed dogs permitted, friendly staff, this was the perfect venue for lunch for our 3-generation family, all here in Charlottesville to celebrate our 40th wedding anniversary. Only obstacles we encountered were that it was super windy & multiple times, we had to hold onto our patio umbrellas to stop them from getting away & the main picnic-table area is quite tight (we found tables on the fringes, so we got lucky). Bring your pups, your kids, your friends & your folks celebrating their 40th anniversary!

We're from out of town (AL). Dropped our stuff off at Airbnb and needed some quick yummy grub. We loved the outside area of this brewery with fire pits, dog friendly, and pretty busy for a Thursday night. We split a pizza (The Real Deal) and loaded fries appetizer. Our waiter was attentive and quick to serve us, super friendly atmosphere Pizzas are plenty big for 2-4 people and I loved the square cut pieces. Delicious. The waffle fries were pretty good - chorizo, jalapeños, queso, sour cream & tomatoes. Personal preference a crispier French fry. We ordered several beers - Punkelweizen Spooky & Dark Hollow. Loved the Halloween theme!

    Cheers to dark Hollow

We visited BMB on a partly overcast lazy Sunday before the heat hit Virginia. This was a fun outing with friends and the perfect place to visit on the patio with nice views in the distance. Certainly a hike coming from Richmond but was well worth it. The beer flights were a great way to test out everything they had on tap and we all really enjoyed them. Some more than others obviously lol but it definitely broaden our horizons since we are typically dark beer drinkers. The food was also exceptional. Every single one of us enjoyed the food a lot. I for one was stunned by my "date night" pizza; everything on it from toppings to crust was perfect. Happily, I had plenty to take home so it ended up being a three meal bonanza. We also got the fried green tomato BLT, and two pepper jelly and bacon burgers -one with a side of Caesar and another with a side of chili. Not only was the food delicious but the prices were incredibly reasonable; particularly in this day and age. Nothing worse than paying a lot of money for food that's disappointing, but this place does the opposite and we will definitely be coming back. And a shout out to Rhett Butler for guiding us on a tasty adventure..

Another 5 star review because this place is fantastic and the raspberry on acid is revolutionary. Side note: should also get the other "on acid" drinks as they are incredible as well

This place is extremely popular. Just getting a parking spot is tricky. BUT as soon as you walk in you are seated. We started with a flight. Their flight is all 10. It is awesome. I highly recommend getting the flight. It feels like your taking a journey with their beer. It is a great tasting . They really have a great menu. We got the Double Date. That is 2 patties with my favorite , goat cheese and they put a sweet jam. It was perfect . Great bun and got the baked beans. They were like a gourmet version that I could eat everyday. They were so delicious. Also hit the pulled pork on that same style bun. It was good but I love Carolina barbecue the best. Got the fries. They were crisp, hot, and delicious Service was awesome!!! Our food came so quick we both said our food is here already?? That was super fast snd that place was packed with people. Bravo y'all definitely deserve 5 stars !!!!!!!

My brother and I were looking, of course on yelp and we found this really cool brewery close to my sister's cabin, and we decided to go try it. What an awesome recommendation. He got a flight of different kinds of beers from the brewery and enjoyed trying all of them. I got a cider with peach flavoring, which was very tasty. We had the pretzel with beer, cheese and mustard, the mustard is really good. It was a little horseradish in it, but not too much. It was very tasty. We also had the fried brussels sprouts, they were coded in a balsamic vinegar with apples and smoked bacon, it was very, very tasty together. I like the fact that they didn't cook brussels sprouts to mush that you actually had texture in them and that they were really nice. Then we split a entrée of barbecued pork with Thai coleslaw. I got fries he got a salad. His salad was huge, even though it was a size salad and he said it was very delicious. They gave him an apple balsamic dressing to go with it and he was very happy. I got the fries which were dipped in a tempura batter before being fried. I thought they went really well and I dipped them in the Thai dressing that came with the coleslaw. Very tasty! we sat out on the porch, because I brought my dog and they are very dog friendly. They have wonderful fire pits all around for when you come and it's kind of chilly. And you got to see the beautiful mountains and eat and the beautiful air. It was so clean. Really had a great time. Our servicing to have a lot on her plate, but she still made time to stop by and check in on us. We recommended my sister come and visit and we would love to come visit again ourselves. The best thing on the menu was the persimmon sour that my brother got in his flight and Back even ordered a small goblet of it again before we left. It's really too bad they don't sell those except for a growler and they were sold out.

    Is it dog friendly?

Yes, we do allow dogs in our outside seating areas.

    Full bar or sweet wines?

They have a full bar and wine in addition to the beer offerings. Enjoy!

What happened to Matt, the bartender?

Hi Lan, Matt left about two years ago for another opportunity, but he is actually coming back to BMB as our new Assistant General Manager in a couple of weeks! We're very excited to have him back on the team!

Do they have a covered outside patio/area? Is this brewery dog friendly

They are dog friendly in their outdoor seating. They have LOTS of outdoor seating with a few fire pits and propane heaters scattered around. They also have a large outdoor, enclosed tent area. Not sure if dogs are welcome in the tent or not.

Any interesting non alcoholic drinks available here, even in the market area? Kombucha/local sodas/etc?

Not too sure if the drinks beside beers here, across the mountain going into waynesboro ( not entering from interstate, go down mountain on 250) great kombucha tap room Blue Ridge Bucha. About 5 min from blue mnt brewery

Anyone have brunch here? If so how was it? Can't find menu anywhere

We have been there at 11:30 on weekends with regular full menu. Hope this helps

How likely will we have to wait for a table outside on a Friday around 5:30?

We didn't have to wait at all

But the beer had other ideas. As expected, it was excellent--cold, confident, and clearly in no mood to be rushed. Everything was clean and orderly. The burger arrived and did not disappoint. Honest, well-made, the sort of meal that reminds you why you ordered it in the first place. My wife's brisket sandwich, meanwhile, was everything brisket ought to be--tender, rich, and just indulgent enough to feel like a reward rather than a mistake. Fries came alongside, hot and crisp, doing their job without complaint or ceremony. And then, on the way out--as these things tend to happen--we stopped at the bar. That's where we met Vance. What followed was less a quick cocktail and more a conversation with drinks attached. The cocktails were excellent, but the company made them memorable. Vance makes a great adult beverage. All in all, Devil's Backbone isn't just a place to eat and drink. It's a place where a simple plan quietly turns into a better evening than you expected.

When our kids were younger we appreciated child-friendly establishments but now that we're free as birds, kid-free environments are awesome! Everything about this spot screams authenticity, from the wood floors to the Packers gear all over to the old cans of vintage brews... the bar/brewery owners were friendly and really, REALLY patient with our group (this was brewery #4 , some of us were a bit pickled) Two of our party are actually from Wisconsin so there may have been a lot of really loud excitement filling the air... As far as the beer? TASTY, not one complaint and we sampled quite the variety between the 10 of us!
