I got the Big Ol' Burger and it was so good. Cooked perfectly, the special sauce was delicious and as you can probably tell from the photo, the fries were exactly what I was looking for. Everything tastes really fresh here. It has that farm-to-table quality, but in a relaxed, laid-back (but still really pretty) setting. We came for lunch and I loved that they had brunch options too. We didn't get any adult beverages but I was very tempted by the entire drink menu, so next time! Our service was also outstanding. Really everything was A+. Definitely a local spot that I need to remember to go to more often.

She showed me to my table, brought a carafe of water, and welcomed me in. I was quickly welcomed by Sergio, my server, who shared the special and the soup of the day. Once I ordered my soda I took in the ambiance of the bar, new lights, and the rest of the restaurant. It's not a large building but they make every inch count. Now, the reason you're reading this review- THE FOOD. I ordered the Hot Honey Chicken Sandwich with a Caesar Salad. The chicken (photo below) was perfectly cooked, topped with hot honey, slaw, pickles, and ranch then placed on a soft brioche bun. The meal was reasonably priced as well at $33 which included tip. I will absolutely be back to the Shanty next time I'm in town.

I was expecting a local bar where everyone stopped talking and looked at you as you walked in. Sign on the door says characters welcome. I walked in and said i hear you are looking for characters. Here we are! What a great place! The bartender was amazing! Filled up my water jug and gave me a cooling compress. I had an absolute with sprite and didn't cost me $20. It also has an outside space with tables in the shade. The regulars were very kind and talkative. If I lived closer, this would be my go to place.

There's this little neighborhood bar, right in front of the Rocky Point entrance in Warwick Neck. Fish and Chips are on the specials menu, a chalkboard right next to the bar that also sported Prime Rib and Baked Cod on the night we visited. Little might not be the best description, it's a definitely a neighborhood place, tucked right into a residential area, houses all around, but the bar itself is a pretty grand affair. Its a big horseshoe shaped thing, something like 20-25 seats, and beyond it hightop tables for another 30+, then there's an expansive outside area, not so handy here in December, but its probably just the thing in nice weather. In years past, this use to be a very popular destination for a motorcycle ride. I imagine in nice weather it's likely to be the same. There is an absolutely huge parking lot. Anyway, the Fish & Chips were pretty great. Old School style, with a flour based batter, thin and crispy brown on the outside. The fish was nice, firm, piping hot and delicious. I also got an order of Clam Cakes, and though they aren't road trip worthy like an Aunt Carries, I didn't leave a single one left over. Not too shabby. One helpful hint. If you're going for dinner, have a look at the website to see if it's a live music night. On the night we visited, the band was rocking, and the show started early, so dinner that night definitely came with music.

Upon entrance is a doorman who is so friendly and accommodating! He found us an open table and checked on us throughout the night. The place was packed and they only had maybe 5 or 6 employees so the service was a little slow but understandable. I think the longest wait was about 20 minutes when we were waiting to get our initial drink order taken, but everything after that was fairly quick. For drinks I got a thin mint martini because they were out of the chocolate reuge martini I wanted. It was so yummy and came with 3 thin mint cookies. My mom got a pistachio martini and the Jefferson Tea. Both were pretty good but I wouldn't order again. My dad got Dead Mans Redemption which is good if you like bourbon. It comes with a wood topper and they light it on fire, let smoke fill in the drink, and then take the wood off. The drink then has notes of smoked wood in it which is cool. For food we got the crispy spring rolls and pepperoni flatbread. Both were so good!!!! It was absolutely worth the wait!!! I could eat the whole flatbread myself it was that good and I can't wait to go back and get another one. The crowd is definitely much older, not a lot of younger people around. It's a good date night for married couples. Overall it was a nice place and I would come back.

Good solid breakfast, friendly staff in a different looking restaurant. We stopped in on a rainy sunday morning and were warmly welcomed. Son 1 went with the western omelet which is large and stuffed with fresh vegetables, ham and cheese. The home fries are good (get the sauteed onions on top ) and the toast is toasted not just warm bread ,which i have been running into way to much lately. I had 3 eggs over easy and a couple of pancakes Italian sausage and home fries. All good. Coffee could have been a bit stronger but that's a personal preference. Word of caution regarding the pancakes. These are not IHOP pancakes. One of these monsters is probably enough unless that's all you are having. I ordered two and ended up taking one home. That doesn't happen much. At the end we saw hot wieners on the menu board for lunch and well, we never pass up a chance to try a NY System gagger. The wieners were hot and fresh, the bun soft all the way to the end and the onions stayed with me for 36 hrs. Perfect. Meat sauce was a little dry but overall a fine specimen. The place is not just for breakfast and it looks like a great spot to catch the Pats game in the fall. Ill be back.
