Went there last night with my grandson Billy and let me say this: Ranchies is the bomb dot com! I just love their hamburgers! Last time I went to Ranchies, I ate so many BL and T sandwiches I thought I might burst! Been driving by this place for nearly a year and always wondered how good it was. I'm sure it's a local favorite, as it's usually busy. Convinced my Son to stop in and try it. The food was ok, but the young man at the counter got my order wrong. After the meal my Son went to the same young man to order a milkshake. I watched as all the orders after my Son's were filled and finally went up and asked if I could have his shake. Guess the guy spaced it. It's always unfortunate when service costs an otherwise nice place a customer. As I state, I drive by here at least four times a week...and I will just keep driving by now. read more

Located right across from the sweetest most retro Safeway ever, this place was probably in it's prime sometime after WWII. The food... it's not really good, but there are worse things out there. My main complaint is that the fries have a vague taste of fish oil, which is curious because I don't think they do fish and chips. Anyhow if you're looking for a retro experience down to the cash only policy, this is it. It's sad my burger place from high school days is now a Taco Time lucky the next high schools burger joint is still around . This place has been here along time even my dad remembers come here when was young . First cool you will see the menu broads are carved in wood , that takes balls . Some items are gone know and you will see a blank spot where something was . The staff there are young men and women who look like they are from the local high school , they are polite and friendly the food here is good and better than what you get at normal fast food place and the shake have many many flavors to choose from ,plus its great place for a spit ball fight . read more

I am only giving 3 stars for this reason - the Price! I love their burgers and fries (esp their fries), but it's a bit pricey for "fast food". I buy just a buger and fry for about $8.00 - no drink, no extra's. That's for a plain cheese burger and fries people! But I am giving them 3 because their food is really tasty and they are "Bothell" like someone said. And there are times I am willing to pay the extra amount because I do like the location and how they support the local high school students. Overall a good place to get a good burger! read more

Was in the mood for an old fashioned burger and this place was near by so I figured I would try it out. I was very pleased with the price and quality of the double bacon ranch burger. It took a little bit to get the food but it was kind of expected because the place was pretty busy. Needless to say I will definitely be eating here again. read more

This is what's known as a good old fashion burger joint. They don't take cards so bring cash. They don't have your McDonalds style value menus either, so you will need to remember how to order each item separate. The food is good, and that's all that matters. There are some days you just crave fast-ish food. Despite having a burger for dinner a few nights before, the only thing that sounded good for lunch was another burger! Since Ranch is in the area I decided I'd check it out. While there was nothing wrong with my burger, it was forgettable. I'd say it's on par with Kid Valley or Burger Master. Tasty, simply prepared burgers that satisfy burger cravings but don't leave a lasting impression. I will say I was impressed with the amount of bacon on my burger (it was overflowing with crunchy, perfectly cooked bacon). The burger patty itself was okay although I thought it was a touch dry. Onion rings were crunchy and hot, but seemed to lack flavor. The pumpkin shake (I ordered a small) was a huge portion! So big I probably drank 1/3 of it before tossing the rest. It was thick, delicious, and perfectly pumpkiny tasting. While I didn't think anything else was especially small, the shake seemed disproportionately large compared to their other serving sizes (onion rings, for example, came in a serving of 5.... reasonable, but not an especially large amount). At a price of $12 for a burger, shake, and onion rings I didn't think it was overpriced, but it wasn't especially cheap either. There are other dinning options in the area that are cheaper and equal (if not better) in quality. It's a convenient location to where I work so I can picture myself returning but I'm not sure I'd go out of my way to come here. Friendly service and burgers that hit the spot but won't leave you wanting more. Be sure to check out their milkshakes though! read more

I like my meat patties thin and this place gives up thin but big. Does that make sense?! The burgers are classic delicious as is the whole joint. The fries are a little hot lunch program for me but the onion rings are the shiz. I am not a ice cream fan but I had a sip of a butterscotch malt and it was amaz-balls. I live in Everett/Mill creek area and still make trips down to the ranch! It's always worth it. I always get a small fry, tarter sauce and one of the bacon burgers. The price IS expensive but like I said, worth it to me. I do agree with the other reviews, the employees seem to always be interested in talking to their friends instead of taking care of the customers. But other than that, this place is great! read more

a sentimental favorite of mine, since i've been coming here for milkshakes and burgers since i was five years old. so like, 25 years. in that 25 years, almost NOTHING has changed. up until about 6 months ago, even the surface of the tables was the same yellow and orange laminant that must have been there since the 70's. the menu is exactly the same, and there's no need for change. they have the best milkshakes in that really great old school way. it's not fancy or gourmet, but they do burgers and shakes really well! really clean, fast service, friendly. read more

Always drive by this place, so at least try it for once with my roommate. This is the worst burger we every had. Wasn't even better than the hamburgers from high school. Hot, fast comfort food. I got the fish sandwich and my boyfriend got the ranch burger and a root beer malt. Large portions on a sesame seed bun, and the malt was good too. Nothing extraordinary but overall a fun place to stop for a quick lunch. read more

The prices at the Ranch have ballooned along with Bothell's recent development. The staff is still largely local high school students, as have been the case for the last 30 years. I ordered a crispy chicken sandwich tonight, but what I got was a grilled chicken sandwich. Not a big mistake, but is typical of what happens every time I go there. I don't understand why this place has such great reviews. Maybe if you grew up with it and it's nostalgic? Burgers are super thin and 2 of our 3 were badly burned. My mushroom Swiss burger used a bad tasting processed Swiss-like cheese. Fries, onion rings, chicken and fish are all bagged frozen products. Ice cream comes from a powder mix. My burger was over $7 and fries have to be purchased separately. Much too high of a cost compared to the food quality. read more
